Chapter 87: Morning Begins with the Door Being Kicked Open
The morning sunlight slanted through the balcony window into the bedroom, and tiny dust particles danced in the light, forming strands of golden gauze.
With the shadows completely dispersed, Chen Yuan felt great and had a good sleep.
After so many days without a proper rest, his own doghouse was the most comfortable.
Waking up to the ringing of the alarm clock, he stretched lazily in bed, letting out a typical male wake-up sound that harmonized with the clock.
With his body sprawled out in a star shape, arms raised in the air, exerting all his strength—
“Ah!!!”
So comfortable!!!!
Bang—
The door was kicked open.
The wake-up alarm was abruptly cut off—
Chen Yuan also ceased his howling—
“What’s wrong, Fal?”
“Teacher, are you okay?”
Startled, Chen Yuan looked at the door he had repeatedly confirmed was locked the night before, which was now easily kicked open, the hinges creaking loudly…
“My door…”
…
At the dining table in the living room.
A few people were having breakfast.
Chen Yuan drank the milk he prepared, paired with a few slices of toast.
He planned to finish breakfast and go to school; it had been a long time since he attended classes.
The atmosphere at the dining table felt a bit strange. Chen Yuan gazed gloomily at Cu and Yu, while mechanically scooping milk with a spoon, bringing it to his mouth bite by bite.
The two were quietly eating their bread, deliberately avoiding Chen Yuan’s gaze, afraid to make eye contact and laugh.
Leia still didn’t understand what was happening, her eyes darting between the three of them.
“Pfft—”
Cu couldn’t hold back and stole a glance at Chen Yuan, instantly letting out a suppressed laugh…
“Still laughing! You broke my door again!” Chen Yuan put down the spoon he was using to scoop milk, exclaiming “hysterically.”
“Well, teacher, you sounded so pained, I thought you were…,” Cu pouted, struggling to contain her laughter in rebuttal.
She really found that the teachers in this world had so many amusing aspects.
Although she remembered them as somewhat unserious, they had always been reliable teachers.
So cute…
Of course, she didn’t dislike this side of Chen Yuan; she secretly enjoyed discovering more facets of him…
When a person she likes shows an unknown side, it feels like a bonus, like a two-for-one deal; if she also likes that unknown side, it’s a double blessing!
“Who decided that it’s not allowed to make noise when getting up in the morning? This is the tradition of our world!”
Chen Yuan pointed at Cu, correcting her with righteous indignation, trying to regain his now nonexistent authority!
He then turned to the other person suppressing laughter: “And you! You’re laughing too! What’s so funny?”
If you had ignored me for so long, could I be this excited?
I never used to howl like this when waking up!
Yu was suddenly called out, glancing at Chen Yuan and unconsciously picturing him howling in bed, covering her mouth and looking away, mischievous laughter not diminished at all…
Her expression exuded allure, unlike Cu’s innocence.
So…
It looked like…
The subtle mocking expression girls have towards that aspect…
A little bit cute~
The perfectly timed silence hit harder!
Chen Yuan could feel the contempt in their laughter, making him even more flustered…
“Not! Still laughing!”
“Stop laughing!”
“I’ll state this once more! No barging into my room! You can’t destroy my property! It was repaired twice this month! Treasure it! Treasure it! Do you understand? Everybody knows the meal in the bowl, every grain is hard-earned!”
Yu bit into her bread: “Got it~”
Cu: “Got it, teacher, I’m sorry…”
The two responded with guilt, but their smiles didn’t fade one bit.
Chen Yuan knew they would dare to do it again next time…
He really had no authority left…
After finishing breakfast.
Cu and Yu had no classes in the morning, so Chen Yuan told them to behave at home, not to open the door if someone knocked, although this advice was clearly somewhat redundant.
“Leia, you have class, right?” While putting on his shoes, Chen Yuan recalled this matter; she should have already started her job as a physics teacher.
Leia had already gathered her things and walked up to Chen Yuan: “Yeah, I’ve been teaching for a few days now.”
The military training was over, and Chen Yuan had perfectly missed the day of the military training evening.
He had originally wanted to take pictures for a keepsake, but it was a pity.
This sense of nurturing couldn’t be brought about by raising pets.
“Then I’ll come by to listen to your class after I finish mine?” Chen Yuan smiled, walking out the door with Leia.
He turned back at the entrance to remind the two who looked at him with pleading eyes, “Alright, don’t fight, okay? When you get back, I’ll take you out for some delicious food.”
The two looked dejected: “Oh…”
Then they obediently watched Chen Yuan and Leia leave….
In fact, as long as one of them didn’t go, the other wouldn’t be so clingy; the reason these two were at odds purely stemmed from jealousy.
But Chen Yuan wanted to see how Leia’s class was going and didn’t want to take two jealous girls along, wanting to enjoy some peaceful time.
On the way, Leia responded to Chen Yuan’s earlier comment.
“I have a full schedule this afternoon.”
A brief look of happiness crossed her face before quickly disappearing.
Then she suddenly remembered something, worried that Chen Yuan wouldn’t make it, and said, “But Commander, you need to come a little earlier; my class has quite a few students.”
“Really that many?” Chen Yuan thought; surely two or three classes could fit into the classroom, right?
“Yeah… Jiang University of Science has some kind of flower ranking, right?” Leia suddenly brought this up.
“Yeah, there is. Did Cu attend your class?”
“No, I actually made it onto the list as a teacher myself…”
“Pfft—”
“What the heck?!”
Chen Yuan was surprised and chuckled at the same time.
“It might be that when I walked with Cu, I was mistaken for a student…” said Leia.
“Um… then that makes sense…”
If I were a student at Jiang University of Science, I’d definitely want to check out what this new teacher on the flower ranking was about…
Compared to Cu and Yu, looking at the teacher could be done under the righteous guise of studying, and they could also get close to the teacher by asking questions…
It’s certainly not impossible that a bunch of silly people would use this as a legitimate excuse.
What do you know?! We’re here to study! Can’t you, little comrade, have less dirty thoughts?! Can your awareness be a bit higher?!
The country has yet to become strong, and we certainly need to study hard every day.
To strive for the rejuvenation of the motherland…
…
“We’re here to study, can’t your thoughts, little comrade Chen Yuan, be less low-end?! Can’t you be a bit high-end like us~”
Li Hua: “Right, Lao Huang!”
Huang Zhisheng: “Exactly, we are here to learn advanced knowledge and theories; that teacher’s lectures are amazing!”
Luo Zichuan: “And she’s really pretty!”
“This is the crux of the matter, isn’t it…”
Chen Yuan pulled at the corners of his mouth, look, what did I say…..
A bunch of silly people…
