Rumbling.

The dull mechanical sounds echoed in the spacious factory, where hundreds of youthful figures were busy. Among them, most were half-elves, while humans accounted for about one-fifth.

Rot was one of the few humans there. His father was a thief, and his mother a songstress. Before coming to Modo, he had lingered in the Shipwreck Bay area. Now, he worked as a laborer in the second Golem Factory of Modo. After arriving in Modo, he spent three months learning how to assemble parts of clay golems. Perhaps due to the talent inherited from his father, he learned much quicker than the other humans, and he was honored to become a part of the factory.

In the factory, there was a workbench over a hundred meters long.

Rot was responsible for the arms of the clay golems, with dozens of others doing the same. Another group handled the legs and torso, while the most complex heads were assigned to mysterious witches.

On the broad workbench, Rot carefully sculpted the runic pathways. Although he didn’t understand their meanings, he just had to follow the instructions given by the witches. Every day, Rot had to complete more than five arms, earning him three silver forints, enough to live above a civilian standard in Modo. The operation of the Golem Factory was like a massive machine, with each worker being just a cog, responsible for their part, with the final work completed by the witches.

Dozens of clay golems were completed every day.

These golems were uniformly sent to the outskirts of Modo, where they leveled hills, filled valleys, and smoothed the plains.

Golems replaced much of the human labor; they could perform preliminary land reclamation. Once the land was leveled, it was up to farmers to manage ditches and till the soil.

Rot had been working here for almost a month. Initially, there were only a few dozen people, but the number grew to hundreds. He didn’t know how many golem puppets Modo had produced, but it was probably over a thousand. Many of these powerful beings were stored somewhere, perhaps to be useful one day.

Rot’s biggest ambition was to improve his skills further.

Modo also had technicians for making stone and iron golems, with the former earning five times what he made and the latter earning over ten times.

Furthermore, such individuals held a considerable status in Modo.

Rot believed he might become a puppeteer in the future, as some qualified individuals had been taken as apprentices by the mysterious Eastern Witch.

Yes.

That witch, who rarely showed herself but held a high status in Modo, was always accompanied by many exquisite dolls that looked just like living people.

…………

“Master.”

In front of Soren’s study, a half-elf woman with a graceful figure knelt before him. This woman’s name was Vina. Originally a noble from Leaffall City, she joined Soren’s church after abandoning her former identity and was now a core member of the church.

Humbly kneeling before Soren, she said softly, “The third batch of golems has been completed.”

“Currently, there are approximately seven hundred golem puppets in Modo, with more than eighteen hundred stored in the basement.”

Upon hearing this, Soren looked up, nodded after glancing at her, and said, “I understand.”

“Have a batch of unassembled golem puppets prepared and sent directly to my laboratory vicinity.”

Vina nodded, “Yes.”

After the half-elf left, Soren rubbed the corners of his eyes and murmured, “The blockade of the Divine Kingdom is still too severe. It seems very difficult to bring living beings in.”

Just yesterday.

Soren attempted to send golem puppets into the Divine Kingdom, but it appeared to be a failure.

Once these golem puppets entered the Divine Kingdom, they stopped functioning and could not assist his believers in constructing the Divine Kingdom. So Soren pondered and decided to change his approach, directly sending the golem puppets as materials to be reassembled by the heroic spirits inside.

As more souls entered the Divine Kingdom, although Soren still couldn’t access its interior, he sensed more and more.

Next, he needed to establish the framework of the Divine Kingdom and prepare to bring it down to the Bottomless Abyss in the future.

…………

Shadow Divine Kingdom.

A clear lake mirrored like a mirror, with a large-scale reincarnation of souls at first, followed by a decrease in the number of souls entering the Divine Kingdom.

Only about one or two souls reincarnated in the Divine Kingdom daily, some were believers who died in battle in Modo, and others were creatures from elsewhere who believed in Soren. Among them were half-elves who died in Leaffall City because Soren presided over the divine profession of half-elves, as well as beings who believed in the “Shadows.” There was even a reincarnated wizard appearing in Soren’s Divine Kingdom.

This was a low-faith shadow wizard.

Soren was unaware of everything about his past life, but this guy entered Soren’s Divine Kingdom automatically after death.

He transformed into a Prayer Weaver close to a shadow form, retaining some of his spellcasting abilities from his previous life. His soul level was slightly lower than a heroic spirit, but his combat capability might be significantly higher because he could cast numerous shadow spells. Judging from these performances, this shadow wizard reincarnated as a Prayer Weaver had been a high-level spellcaster in his past life.

Souls continuously entered.

A portion of the wanderers who died on the continent would automatically reincarnate within Soren’s Divine Kingdom.

Compared to the initial desolation, a makeshift camp had emerged near the reincarnation pool. Unlike the grandeur of the Spider Queen’s realm, Soren’s Divine Kingdom was just starting to be built. This camp resembled the outline of a city, and the number of Prayer Weavers gathered had reached over sixteen hundred.

Becoming a Prayer Weaver was a new life.

Possessing a longer lifespan, retaining some memories from the previous life, reliving life once again, and merging into the Divine Kingdom upon the end of the second life.

Unless something unexpected happened, most of these Prayer Weavers could live several hundred years, while the Holy Spirits were nearly immortal; as long as the deity did not die, they would have eternal life. Thus, for any Prayer Weaver, becoming a Holy Spirit was a lofty pursuit because no one would willingly accept the fate of extinction.

“High Priest!”

A squad of fully armed heroic spirits approached near the camp, with some captured prisoners behind them.

All these prisoners were in half-elf form, but their minds seemed somewhat frantic, filled with aggression. They were originally Prayer Weavers of the God of Half-Elves, having survived the Fall of the Divine Kingdom, but had already been driven mad by power.

Amidst the faint golden light, there was a beautiful female priest.

She retained the most beautiful and healthiest phase of her life. In the Material Plane, she was just a woman in her forties whose youth and beauty had faded, but now she appeared to be in her twenties, frozen in the most beautiful and charming period of her life.

This priestly Prayer Weaver looked at the prisoners before her and slowly said, “Take them to the reincarnation pool for purification.”

“Only the light of our Master can wash away their filth!”

The heroic spirits escorted these prisoners into the reincarnation pool. Soon, the first prisoner was thrown inside, and a faint golden light emerged. This prisoner’s body rapidly changed from a form corroded by shadow energy back into that of a half-elf.

His expression was somewhat dazed.

The second purification reincarnation caused him to lose even more memories, but this did not affect Soren’s control over him.

Because he believed in the “God of Half-Elves”!

The number of Prayer Weavers in the camp gradually expanded in this way. There could be many forms of life within the Divine Kingdom; even humans could live there. However, Prayer Weavers could not bear offspring, and other life forms rarely entered the Divine Kingdom. The population in the Divine Kingdom mainly came from soul reincarnations.

Of course.

If Soren were to raise a large number of spiders like the Spider Queen, then the biological population in the Divine Kingdom would rapidly expand.

Human resources were far from sufficient.

The Prayer Weaver form did not provide extremely powerful strength, so when the initial construction of the Divine Kingdom hit a bottleneck, Soren began to introduce golem puppets. The first batch of golem puppets were all clay golems, numbering around three hundred, with parts sent through the passage Soren opened, which required considerable divine power.

No issues arose.

The inactive golem parts were successfully sent into the Divine Kingdom, assembled in the hands of Prayer Weavers, and quickly transformed into important labor forces.

In just three days.

The trees near the reincarnation pool had been entirely cut down, and a wooden fortress formed. In the center was a temple covering over a thousand square meters. The Prayer Weavers were sculpting stones, and the temple would be officially shaped within a week at most.

A deity’s kingdom usually takes hundreds or thousands of years to cultivate.

Naturally, Soren could not establish everything from scratch. However, he needed a foundation, and when the Prayer Weavers grew to a considerable number, he would begin reclaiming other places, taking over the temple of the God of Half-Elves and the kingdom established by the Lord of Shadows.

Currently.

Within the kingdom built by the Lord of Shadows, there were still many frenzied shadow lives.

Soren had fused two divine professions consecutively, and he had to clear all of this to gain complete control over the Divine Kingdom, as all of this had been seized from other deities.

Reincarnation, purification, cleansing.

Soren had to erase the traces left by the God of Half-Elves and the God of Shadows in this Divine Kingdom, then brand all the Prayer Weavers with his mark. Only in this way could the Divine Kingdom be entirely under his control.
