Silver Dragon – Alexandrina.
A mature giant dragon residing near the Cloud Mist Mountain, accompanied by a cohort of cloud giants, enjoys venturing into human realms and holds considerable prestige among elves.
In Soren’s past life memories, she was a mobile task issuer during the mid-stage of the Saint’s Cataclysm, and anyone from the Good Faction could easily receive various tasks from her. This mischievous silver dragon is a member of a hidden organization in the Material Plane known as the Harpist.
The Harpists are a loosely-knit and contradictory secret organization with an unclear leadership and a highly complex internal membership. They remain forever hidden in the shadows, only acting at crucial moments to complete missions before promptly vanishing back into the crowd. They combat evil through seemingly insignificant and even somewhat unorthodox means, yet ordinary good people fail to understand them. “Some claim us to be spies, others consider us meddlesome and dangerous individuals or unquestioning assassins. In truth, we embody every little trait of these sorts of people if the situation proves it appropriate.”
Non-evil individuals of any age, profession, or race can become Harpists—humans, half-elves, elves, some halflings, dwarves, and highly intelligent forest dwellers (such as dryads and centaurs). The first three groups make up the majority in the Harpists, with many being bards or rangers, while other professions, including wizards, thieves, or priests, also have a place.
Druids are allies of the Harpists, but many priests from various sects take pride in becoming Harpists.
It is a very ancient organization, dating back to before the last Saint’s Cataclysm, existing long before the Three d*ath Deities were active.
The Harpists were once referred to as “Interveners of the Material Plane” and “Neurologically Disturbed Idealists,” but in most cases, they are a group of people acting with noble intentions. Alexandrina is one of the leaders of the southern Harpists, eager to combat evil forces and enjoys issuing a variety of tasks to adventurers.
Soren once brazenly stole some valuables from her lair and ended up on the Harpists’ wanted list.
This organization has weakened considerably, but it still holds significant influence today.
“Cackle!”
A gust of black mist emerged, accompanied by the fluctuation of spells, as a lich wielding a silver-gray staff appeared before them, gazing at the silver dragon with amusement, and said in a deep voice, “What do I see? Silver Dragon – Alexandrina! Why aren’t you honestly staying in the Cloud Mist Mountain and instead come here to seek d*ath?”
One by one, high-ranking members of the Dragon Witch Sect emerged, eyeing Alexandrina with ill intent.
“Evil Dragon Witch cultists!”
Faced with such a surround of fallen wizards, Alexandrina’s expression turned grim, and she stated seriously, “You dare to secretly resurrect the Dragon Lich! Other good people absolutely will not allow such behavior.”
The Harpists are never lacking in a sense of justice.
Soren, hiding in the darkness, snarked, as a member of the gray area, he had suffered quite a bit at the hands of the Harpists in the past, but now as a deity of the Evil Faction, the Harpists had not dared to trouble him much. However, these vigorous fellows seemed to have set their sights on the Dragon Witch Sect, which is a good thing, as the Harpist should not ignore the Goddess of Forest and Rangers, Merike.
Of course.
The prerequisite is that the silver dragon in front of him can leave alive.
Bone Prison!
Dimensional Lock!
Greater Disjunction!
When it came to whether to fuss with a justice-driven silver dragon or eliminate her and turn her into undead, there was no question that the Dragon Witch Sect members chose the latter.
The battle began to develop in a very unfavorable direction.
The legendary wizards of the Dragon Witch Sect sealed the space and immediately cast disjunction to disrupt the spells and items on the silver dragon. This was a very clever tactic, as silver dragons are often very wealthy, and in human form, they prepare numerous magical items for themselves.
Roar!
A deep roar echoed.
Faced with such an unfavorable situation, Alexandrina decisively transformed back into her original form.
A mature giant dragon’s combat power drops significantly when transformed into human form; although the silver dragon could retain quite a few of her spellcasting abilities, she was absolutely no match for these individuals.
A silver dragon, about fifteen meters long, appeared before everyone. She had exceptionally beautiful silvery scales, appearing as if they were one with her, with a wingspan far exceeding that of other dragons, and a special divine radiance enveloped her, representing that Alexandrina possessed the favor of some deity.
——”Dragon Breath!”
Faced with the assault from the Dragon Witch Sect members, Silver Dragon Alexandrina initially chose the most effective tactic for herself: taking a deep breath and launching a Dragon Breath at the nearest target before executing a Dragon Wing Strike.
The power of a mature giant dragon is unmatched by many beings in the Material Plane.
Even silver dragons, which are not particularly known for their strength, instantly suppressed the Dragon Witch Sect members, but this kind of suppression could not last long, as Dragon Breath has a limited number of uses.
“Ah!”
The screams of dying echoed.
Under Alexandrina’s counterattack, several Dragon Witch Sect members quickly fell, but just as the Dragon Breath ended, a Dragon Lich pounced forward, instantly tearing through Alexandrina’s exquisite scales and ripping away a large chunk of flesh, while the wizards of the Dragon Witch Sect began casting spells like weaken, harm increase, and resistance decrease, continuously diminishing Alexandrina’s strength.
Soren remained motionless in the darkness, seemingly having no intention of intervening.
This silver dragon had no connections with him, and Soren needed to seriously consider whether revealing himself for her benefit was worth it.
However!
At that moment.
An evil aura appeared, accompanied by a divine power that stirred something within Soren. He saw a strange item suddenly manifest in the hand of a high-ranking member of the Dragon Witch Sect, and the next moment, black flames emerged in the lich’s palm. This vicious negative energy flame burned on Alexandrina’s body, causing her flesh to wither gradually and her dragon scales to shatter like fragile glass. It was at this moment that Soren noticed the crown worn beneath the member’s cloak, infused with divine power and a certain divine energy originating from the same source as his.
“This is!?”
Soren’s expression changed instantly, murmuring, “This is the aura of the King of the Dead – Milko!”
