Chapter 6: The Power of the God of Mages! [Request for Recommendation Votes]

“Who is it?”
The Goddess of Magic and d*ath, Vices, strolled through the eerie cemetery, her brow furrowed, seemingly displeased.
The Lich God has always been her target. For this reason, the Goddess of Magic and d*ath, Vices, had already taken down the Lich God once. However, due to the existence of the Lifebox, she at least damaged the opponent’s Lifebox, reducing the chances of their resurrection. Since then, the Lich God’s whereabouts had become enigmatic, and it took a considerable effort for her to track him down. Vices discovered the corpses of two ancient mummies at the entrance, undoubtedly their souls had been imprisoned and extracted, and nearby lay the ashes of a vampire, these should have been servants controlled by the Lich God. This deity was quite timid; although Vishalon was the Lich God, he was very wary of liches, fearing being usurped by his kind, so he rarely had liches as servants. Most of the valuable things in the underground tomb had already been looted, and the one who acted first was likely a seasoned expert, even some experimental platforms had been completely emptied.
The Goddess of Magic and d*ath, Vices, finally reached the deepest part. She found traces of battle, with almost a one-sided suppression after the initial attack.

Vices fell into deep thought, muttering to herself, “I think I know who it is! The simultaneous appearance of two deities with Medium Divine Power, who could manage to act first?”
“It seems that only that deity with dominion over d*ath and tracking could accomplish this.”
Soren’s identity was becoming clear!
The one possessing the divine office of [Tracking] was easy to identify since Vices believed that aside from Soren, hardly any deities could act first.
A slight noise came from outside.
Vices frowned slightly and sensed it, softly stating, “It seems to be the followers of the Lady of the Night. Well, it’s better to leave here first.”
As an outsider god, she did not wish to deal with the Lady of the Night.
This ancient goddess had a bad temper and was not friendly toward outsider gods. In fact, most powerful divine beings were quite hostile to outsider gods, believing that they were encroaching on their territories. For powerful divine beings, the Material Plane was their divided domain.

Soren felt pleased upon returning from killing the Lich God, Vishalon. After briefly counting the spoils, he celebrated joyously with Gloria in the room.
Even deities need to relax occasionally.
Although the Lich God, Vishalon, was only of [Weak Divine Power], as a two-faced turncoat, he actually had quite a few good items.
Originally, Vishalon was a mortal. Later, he was promoted to divinity by the Lord of Storms. To escape the Lord of Storms’ oppression, this guy allied himself with the Goddess of Magic, thus becoming a subordinate deity of the God of Mages. Yet this guy was still not satisfied, secretly mending ties with the Lord of Storms and covertly ingratiating himself with the Lady of Night, thus empowering himself by playing both sides.
His experience was a typical example of a turncoat.
However, this turncoat was a big winner during the Saint’s Cataclysm; after the troubles with the Goddess of Magic, he immediately betrayed and ambushed the God of Mages, seizing part of his divine office and divine power.
If not for being killed once by the Goddess of Magic and d*ath, Vices, and then completely at the hands of Soren, it is likely that the Lich God would have quickly mastered the divine office of [Mage], directly leveling up to weak divine power, and even possibly advancing to medium divine power.
It is worth mentioning the fallen God of Mages, Agustus’ divine offices and domains. His divine offices included Wizard, Mage, and spellcasters in a broader sense, while his domains comprised Illusions, Knowledge, Magic, Order, and Spells. Agustus was once the first preaching mage, the most powerful mortal mage at the time, who defeated the God of Prophecy, Saphiras, and imprisoned him within a scepter; that scepter is now in Gloria’s possession.
One can clearly see a point.
That is, the Lich God, Vishalon, and the God of Mages, Agustus, had many compatible abilities.
First are the divine offices of Wizard and Mage, where the Lich God possessed the necromancer, which is merely one profession within mages. Then there are Illusions, Knowledge, Magic, and Spells, all of which are powers that the Lich God could absorb.
Unfortunately.
This guy’s talent is really lacking; so far, he has only merged the domain of [Magic].
Soren discovered the weapon of the God of Mages in the Lich God’s treasury, that is the Tier Three Artifact [Old Staff], a very plain name, but it sealed the power of the God of Mages.
Including [Wizard], [Mage], [Illusions], [Knowledge], and [Spells].
It appears the Lich God learned quite quickly, having actually grasped the means of how the God of Mages dealt with the God of Prophecy, it truly felt like retribution.
The soul of the God of Mages had already been shattered.
The Old Staff itself is not considered a particularly powerful artifact; its most critical role is to help the God of Mages repair the Magic Network. Within it are the shattered soul fragments of Agustus, from which Soren could absorb [Mage] and [Knowledge].
As for other abilities, Soren already has enough domains.
So he intends to hand it over to Gloria and the Fallen Witch, to see what they can gain from it. Gloria currently possesses [Prophecy], [Wizard], [Knowledge], etc. If she were to gain the powers of [Spells] and [Illusions], she could very likely replace Agustus as the new [God of Mages].
This is very favorable.
From Soren’s perspective, there will inevitably be a battle among the Goddess of Magic, Lady Silver Moon, and Lady of the Night, and the outcome is hard to predict.
If something were to happen to the Goddess of Magic, and Gloria became the God of Mages, there might just be an opportunity to take her place!
The Magic Network is important in Soren’s future plans.
If Gloria can master the power of the Magic Network, not only could it provide tremendous assistance to Soren, but it could also help him limit mortals’ ab*se of the Magic Network. If Soren wishes to advance to great divine power, many areas would require the capabilities of the Magic Network.

Gloria, looking pleased and satisfied, went to the Arcane Tower to study the new staff, while Soren prepared to lay out plans to deal with Naraku and Sherek.
As the night grew deeper, a tall and voluptuous figure appeared at the door, the Fallen Witch stood hesitantly at the entrance, then pushed the door open and entered Soren’s room.
“Is it time?” Soren glanced at her, raising an eyebrow.
The Fallen Witch gently nodded and replied, “I already have leads on the research of the Undead Plague. Just give me some more time and I can resolve it.”
Soren responded with an affirmative sound, then added, “Perhaps you should try exploring the divine domains of the deities.”
“The Saint’s Cataclysm has already erupted.”
“This is the best of times and the worst of times. If you miss this opportunity, even in the future I won’t be able to help you easily achieve divinity. In the future, both Gloria and I will go to the Divine Kingdom; I believe you wouldn’t want to be left all alone in the Material Plane. Since you already possess the divinity of the Goddess of Plague, you should try to further explore the divine domains.”
Upon hearing this, the Fallen Witch fell into contemplation, then said, “I will give it a try.”
Investiture of the Gods.
Such matters seem quite far from mortals; if it weren’t for the Saint’s Cataclysm, it’s likely that achieving divinity would take thousands of years.
“Let’s begin.”
Soren set down the book in his hand, waving his hand to seal the surrounding space.
The Fallen Witch’s face turned crimson, and she obediently walked before Soren, then slowly knelt down, like a little female dog.
“It seems I need to solve the issues you have.”
Soren’s expression was slightly subtle, but he still spoke solemnly: “I have all the influence in the Bottomless Abyss, and if possible, I will find a way to help you remove the seal on you.”

Soren had somewhat detected it, but this Demon Lord was quite hard to deal with; her combat power might not be that strong, but her abilities were exceptionally strange, reaching an extreme of certain domains.
This extreme transformation of aura could even be resisted by Soren.

If it were in divine form, there would be no fear whatsoever; essentially, divine form has no natural enemies unless problems arise within the Divine Kingdom.

A crisp sound echoed, faintly accompanied by a woman’s low m*an.
Soren faithfully completed the contract ritual to please the Succubus Queen, but his mind had already turned towards the Bottomless Abyss. After stealing a large number of souls from the River of Underworld, both the Demon Avatar and the powers within the Divine Kingdom greatly increased. He was contemplating whether it might be time to expand and take control of a layer within the Bottomless Abyss.
At that time, his Demon Avatar would genuinely become a [Demon Overlord]!
