Chapter 21: Frozen Kingdom! [Request for Recommendation Vote]

The cold wind howled.
After entering winter, the temperature of the Overseas Islands gradually dropped, but today the decline seemed particularly noticeable.
Gloria stood at the top of the Arcane Tower, controlling the massive Maze, but as snowflakes began to fall, she seemed to sense something and gently nodded toward the distance.
The battle below was still ongoing.
Although Modo seemed to hold a significant advantage, the sheer number of enemies was overwhelming.
Countless undead filled the field of vision, and the line of defense formed by the Grey Dwarf shield warriors was constantly being compressed, with the casualty rate gradually increasing. Even though the Golem Puppets had consumed a large amount of cannon fodder, the number of the Undead Army still exceeded that of Modo by more than five times. Mid-level demons began to break through the defense line, and the Drow instructors drew their blades to join the fight. Only these high-level professionists could face the demons one-on-one in Modo.
The pressure on the priests grew increasingly heavy, and some priests who had exhausted their Divine Techniques began to wield their scepters to join the battle.
Priests in this world were not powerless spellcasters; they could wear heavy armor and wield war hammers to engage in direct combat.
On the other side of the battlefield.
The situation for Orcus seemed to be turning unfavorable; after being resurrected for the third time, he had not regained his full power. Neither the Undead Lord nor the God of d*ath – Naraku would allow him to fully recover, as that would not be in their interest.
Soren’s suppressive force began to make itself felt.
Similarly, due to the presence of the Maze, the combat power of enemy spellcasters was significantly diminished. Many low-level spells lost their effectiveness against the Lich, and the preparation time for high-level spells increased, as the Darkness – Andrei, endowed with divine power by Soren, and the Tribunal assassins kept their eyes on them. The Trickster Assassin moved like a ghost, and with each appearance, one enemy would fall.
The wind and snow intensified.
Orcus was already covered in wounds, and Soren was also injured, but immediately after a high-level healing spell, he was fully restored.
“Doreisen!”
Finally, the King of the Undead – Orcus lost all patience. The longer this battle continued, the higher the likelihood of his failure, as some demons had begun to rout.
They feared the deities.
And Modo seemed to possess more than one deity.
Orcus smashed his enormous scepter onto the ground, and a massive summoning magic circle automatically formed, revealing the figure of the King of Ghouls – Doreisen, along with several twisted giant ghouls.
He summoned his servant, the commander of the Undead Army, the King of Ghouls – Doreisen!
“Finally unable to hold back?”
As the figure of the King of Ghouls appeared, Soren quickly retreated, not wanting to face two powerful Demon Lords alone.
Snowflakes danced through the air.
Soren’s figure transformed into a golden phantom, slowly stating, “Then let’s end all of this now!”
Whoosh!
A sudden tempest swept across the entire battlefield.
The wind and snow became violently fierce, freezing the ground at a visible speed. Countless shards of ice and snow fell like blades, and the demons let out piercing cries as waves of the Undead Army collapsed.
The figure of the Princess appeared.
After Soren bought her a significant amount of time, the Princess finally completed this massive divine spell.
——”Frozen Kingdom!”
Cold instantly enveloped the battlefield.
The troops of Modo quickly retreated, and a terrifying blizzard descended from the sky, freezing low-level undead into ice sculptures and leaving high-level demons covered in wounds.
The ice and snow gathered in the howling wind.
Then a gleam of golden light fell, revealing a towering twenty-meter tall snow giant. It roared and charged through the Undead Army, with all attacks failing to leave a mark, as they were quickly repaired by the ice and snow.
“Indeed.”
Soren gazed at the countless fallen undead and murmured, “The wide-area destructive power possessed by spellcasters after deification surpasses that of melee-oriented deifiers.”
The Princess single-handedly almost turned the tide of battle.
Such a scene could only be achieved if Gloria used ‘Meteor Spell,’ but that would mean devastating Modo Island. Soren still couldn’t rival the Princess in wide-area damage; he could use a divine shockwave or a legendary spell, but he couldn’t discreetly eliminate tens of thousands of demons and undead like the Princess did.
“Master!”
Amidst the swirling wind and snow, a girl holding a nine-tailed whip appeared.
She intercepted a group of high-level demons, with some Prayer Weavers appearing behind her. The Whip Maiden slightly bowed to Soren to show her respect and then quickly joined the battle.
Soren merely frowned slightly in response.
As Soren’s subordinate deity, under normal circumstances, the Whip Maiden should have joined the fight immediately. However, in reality, she only summoned the Heroic Spirit after the Princess emerged and turned the battle significantly in favor of Modo.
“Indeed.” Soren thought to himself, “Subdued indigenous deities are not trustworthy.”
Soren felt a twinge of disappointment toward the Whip Maiden.

The undead’s offensive footsteps halted.
The grand army of Modo launched a counterattack, while Soren, the Princess, and Vivian surrounded Orcus’s Doreisen.
The situation was becoming quite clear.
The King of the Undead – Orcus and the King of Ghouls Doreisen would simultaneously face the Lord of Shadows – Soren [Medium Divine Power], the Twin Fears – Vivian and Lilian [Medium Divine Power], and Arendelle’s Ice Goddess – the Princess [Medium Divine Power].
A trace of fear finally appeared on Orcus’s face.
Meanwhile, the expression of the King of Ghouls – Doreisen was one of utter confusion. He had thought his master was preparing to attack the Material Plane to plunder and k*ll, but unexpectedly, it was an attack on Modo. Just as he responded to the summon, Doreisen had not yet assessed the situation before discovering he was surrounded by three deities of medium divine power.
This situation was simply infuriating!
Roar.
Orcus let out an anguished roar of unwillingness, swinging the Scepter of Orcus as he charged at Soren.
However, unexpectedly for everyone, at the moment Orcus charged frantically, the King of Ghouls – Doreisen quietly retreated, suddenly opening a bizarre portal of light and disappearing from everyone’s sight.
He escaped.
The surrounding space had been sealed, yet he still managed to get away.
“[Trickster] domain!?”
Soren seemed to realize something, and then he faced Orcus head-on.
The enemy no longer had any chance of victory.
With the King of Ghouls – Doreisen’s sudden retreat, the original odds of victory, which were less than 30 percent, plummeted to zero. Unless some sort of miracle occurred, Orcus could not possibly defeat three medium divine power deities at once.
He was doomed.
It was just uncertain whether he could be resurrected once more after this d*ath!
Perhaps.
Dying at Soren’s hands would be his final outcome.
