The King of the Undead – Orcus.
Orcus was once a mortal. Little is known about his details as a mortal, except that he appeared to be a bloated man and was proficient in certain spells at that time. After his d*ath, his soul came to the Outer Planes and became the lowest-level larva, beginning his struggle in the Bottomless Abyss.
Eventually, he became one of the most powerful demons in the Bottomless Abyss.
After Orcus became a Demon Lord, his infamy spread across all planes. He claimed to be the creator of undead beings, a type of alien life form with strange characteristics that drift away from the Negative Energy Plane. Orcus also became infamous for mastering the secret of the “living dead.” No one knows when Orcus began ruling Thanatos (and some rumors claim Orcus also rules other layers of the Bottomless Abyss), but what is certain is that it was a long time ago. It is said that Orcus created the first batch of d*ath Knights, a total of 12, all of whom were just and noble in life.
Strictly speaking, Orcus, killed by Soren, was not in his true form of the King of the Undead, as his peak form attributes are very abnormal.

Orcus’s domain is Thanatos.
Thanatos is on the 113th layer of the Bottomless Abyss. This layer is exceptionally cold, filled with ice, thin air, and a sky bathed in gloomy moonlight. This layer belongs to Tanam and also to undead beings. In fact, this layer has a slight Negative Energy dominant characteristic. Despite this, hell moss and fungi still grow along the edges of the frozen ground, and various types of tombstones, both imaginable and unimaginable, dot the frozen landscape, some standing alone and others huddled together as if forming a small graveyard, with the undead scattered everywhere.
Reaching Thanatos from the upper levels of the Bottomless Abyss is not an easy task unless one possesses a highly crafted portal.

To reach Thanatos, one must pass through another layer, the Frozen Wilderness.
The 23rd layer of the Bottomless Abyss is an extremely cold plain, with ice layers several miles deep and devoid of human presence. The distant sun appears dimmer than the moon in the material world. The Frozen Wilderness is the domain of the Frost Giants, serving their Demon Prince – the Frost Giant King. Frost Giant sorcerers and their prince reside in the Ice Castle, a fortress built between two towering ice peaks, carved from crumbling ice blocks. Spring never graces the Frozen Wilderness, where most inhabitants live in underground fortresses or caves.
Occupying Orcus’s territory is not an easy task.
Soren spent a full three days gathering his Demon Legion. Most low to mid-level demons in the Bottomless Abyss are free-range, not requiring regular food but needing bl**d and flesh for nourishment, and more importantly, to draw power from souls.
For this battle, Soren gathered the demons from the wilderness.
He summoned three mercenary groups of evil spirits, but the main force still consisted of nearly 200,000 demons, a large proportion of which were mid-level demons, mostly those who had survived the Kingdom of Fear war. Before launching the attack, Soren had one more thing to do, which was to face another bothersome target.
23rd Layer of the Bottomless Abyss.
When Soren’s figure appeared in the Frozen Wilderness, he immediately called upon the demon sorcerers to open a portal.
The ruler here is a Demon Lord controlled by anger, and Soren did not intend to engage too much with him. The tributary of the River of Underworld flows from the upper planes here, and this point can directly lead to Thanatos, Orcus’s domain.
A dark red portal opened.
With the operation of the Demon Goblin Sorcerer, Soren rapidly arrived at another cold land.

With a wave of his hand, Soren threw a large quantity of precious materials onto the ground, and immediately more than a dozen Demon Goblin Sorcerers and Lesser Balroths began to busy themselves.
They needed to establish a portal.

Near the military camp at Gurenba Arena, dark red light emerged, and countless demons howled with excitement, then entered the portal under the control of the Balroth.
The mighty Demon Legion began its invasion.
The main force of the vanguard consisted of six Balroths, five Assassins, seven Six-armed Serpent Demons, and about three thousand Frenzied and Frenzied Combat Demons. Upon reaching the 113th layer of the Bottomless Abyss, they quickly established a rudimentary fortress under the command of Greater Demons.

There are numerous undead in Thanatos.
Within the visible range, it seems that there are graves everywhere, filled with countless undead, including Body Horrors, d*ath Knights, Greater Liches, Vampires, Skeleton Warriors, and so on.
The power of this plane has been infiltrated by Orcus, and when souls enter here, there is a 50% chance they will turn into undead rather than be transformed into demon forms.
This is a change in the laws of the plane, hence this plane has been infused with Negative Energy Characteristics.
“At your command.”
“Master!”
A Balroth stood up, then rallied his subordinates to launch an offensive around, with about three thousand demons starting to clear the area, while a group of Flame Demons, under Soren’s command, found a peak, and then they began setting up an enormous magic circle.
The mighty Abyssal army began to pour in one after another.
Because of the proximity to the Divine Kingdom of his true form, Soren didn’t have to worry much about defense; this time he assembled more than 70% of his army to attack here.
The portal continuously operated.
The scene that happened in Modo City was reenacted; soon, nearly 100,000 demons had completed their transmission, filling the entire plain. However, this time the undead became the invaders, as Soren, filled with anger and hatred, led the demon army to attack here.
The demon invasion quickly alarmed the undead here.
The d*ath Knights created by Orcus sensed the anomaly; they began rallying the undead and swiftly set up defensive fortifications, which were rows of bone castles.
Over a hundred thousand demon troops densely covered the cold plain.
Countless demons anxiously awaited Soren’s orders, ready to launch an all-out assault against the gathered undead, yet Soren did not appear among the demon army; his figure led the Flame Demons perched on a peak.
“Master!”
“The magic circle has been set up!”
The Succubus Boss appeared before Soren, leading a group of demon sorcerers, with a large number of demon sorcerers and evil spirits skilled in spells following behind her.
Night Witches, Ghost Hags, Ygoroth, Slaughter Demons, and so on.
“Very good.”
Soren turned his enormous body, nodded in satisfaction, and said: “Let the ritual begin.”
A Flame Demon stood up.
He followed the demon sorcerers to the center of the magic circle, a massive platform where the Succubus Boss held a dagger and approached the Flame Demon Guardian, then waved the dagger to pierce the heart of the Flame Demon.
Scalding bl**d gushed out.
This dagger carried evil power, swiftly draining the life of the Flame Demon in front of her, and soon, countless bl**d flowed onto the magic circle, and roaring flames appeared on the magic circle.
The temperature around sharply increased!
This is an evil sacrificial magic circle that requires a Flame Demon’s life to activate.
Soren’s rugged body entered the mountain’s interior through a dug-out passage, which extends thousands of meters underground, connecting to the magma of the earth’s crust.
His massive body slowly submerged into the magma pool.

The entire plane underwent severe and strange earthquakes; at Soren’s call, especially after sacrificing a Flame Demon, the magma pool in front of him seemed to boil with surges of power, followed by the opening of the passage to the Plane of Fire, under the summoning of the name of the [Balroth Fire Demon Lord], countless ancient elementals from the Plane of Fire responded to Soren’s call, pouring into this plane, bringing with them an extremely hot aura.

The top of the mountain began to collapse and crack; under a wave of scorching heat, Soren guided countless fire elementals surging out from within the mountain.
