The Six-armed Serpent Demon is a true killing machine.
These terrifying creatures are about 20 feet long and weigh around 4,000 pounds, possessing strength and agility of about thirty points. They master skills such as control technique, combat reflexes, multiple attacks, dual wielding, and powerful strikes. Unlike Soren’s dual wielding, Six-armed Serpents can wield up to six weapons simultaneously based on their own strength. They also possess spell-like abilities such as Blade Barrier, Projection Technique, Transformation, and Evil Aura. In this world, the ability within the aura functions like an aura effect, providing special abilities that cover a certain range and delivering remarkable effects in combat.
When the Six-armed Serpent Demon under Soren stepped onto the battlefield, they saw the undead before them falling in groups, as if they were harvesting wheat.
In the large-scale battles in the Bottomless Abyss, only the Flame Demons with area damage and fiery bodies can rival the Six-armed Serpent Demons. However, many creatures possess fire resistance, so the destructive power of the Six-armed Serpent may be slightly higher than that of Flame Demons.
Following the Six-armed Serpents are Succubi and Furo Demons, whose task is not to fight but to collect the Soul Crystals dropped by the undead.
The laws of this plane have been disrupted, leading to a higher chance of Soul Crystal drops. Many undead see their soul fires extinguished immediately upon death, rapidly forming gray crystals the size of a fingernail—these are lower quality Soul Crystals. The Succubi’s attendants deliver these collected Soul Crystals to the Abyss Blood Pool, and each time a batch of Soul Crystals is tossed in, the water in the pool boils violently, followed by the formation of Abyss Worms from combinations of flesh and blood that kill each other to become new demons.
The entire battle lasted nearly a day.
Soren’s demons rotated their forces in three batches on the battlefield, and after a massive drain, the number of undead has significantly decreased, leaving only about two hundred thousand remaining.
The Demon Legion suffered around thirty to fifty thousand casualties, but the low-level demons dead weighed heavily, while high-level demons incurred minimal losses, as most high-level demons could teleport or fly. More importantly, such a large-scale battle evidently resonates with the laws of the Bottomless Abyss, and some demons automatically absorb the soul power from fallen enemies, leading to a rapid birth of a new batch of mid- to high-level demons amidst the slaughter.
The remaining undead are generally powerful, and Soren is no longer prepared to waste cannon fodder.
“Finish off these enemies.”
Soren finally stepped onto the battlefield himself, followed by a group of Flame Demons.
Igniting his fiery body.
A fiery sea erupted within a radius of over one hundred meters centered on Soren; the horrifying heat melted everything, even turning the ground into a glass-like substance. Behind him, waves of Flame Demons and Fire Demons activated their fiery bodies, instantly transforming a radius of several kilometers into a mountain of flames, deterring even other demons from approaching.
A fiery whip over fifty meters long swung down from the sky, and with a single strike, Soren ended a Death Knight.
The subsequent battle was a complete massacre.
The Flame Demons are at least legendary in strength, while most Fire Demons are high-level. Within the area of Soren’s fiery body, any enemy unable to resist fire damage suffers about 30 points of burning damage per second. Given the average life force of the undead is around one hundred, they would be turned to cinders within five seconds at most. This means that Soren alone could wipe out millions of undead, although the efficiency would be very slow. The Balroth Fire Demon’s effects on other enemies are suppressive; only those who can withstand Soren’s fiery body for more than ten seconds qualify to combat him, and in lower planes, only legendary beings can achieve this.
Enemies below the legendary level would probably be unable to even live long enough to approach Soren.
Faced with a powerful Demon Lord, the Death Knights could no longer withstand the pressure; they abandoned the skeletal fortresses, some retreating towards Narathiel while others completely forsook this plane.
The Bottomless Abyss is vast, and their power allows them to survive anywhere, as many high-level undead do not wish to stay and die.
Finally!
After spending half a day clearing the battlefield, Soren’s Demon Legion opened the road to Narathiel.
That is the true territory of King of the Undead Orcus, and one of the most dangerous places in the Bottomless Abyss! From here, there is a portal leading directly to Narathiel, which is the true land of the dead, almost devoid of any demon presence; although it is in the Bottomless Abyss, it has been completely occupied by the undead.
………………
Narathiel, known as the City of the Dead, is a cold domain carved atop the frozen ocean’s surface. The icy structures of Narathiel form a vast necropolis, dotted with tall mausoleums resembling the royal tombs of human realms, some areas covered with carpets woven from the hair of the thousands of restless dead taken from Narathiel. The legions guarding this land include Demon Spiders, Blood Giants, various high-level undead creatures, and most types of Liches. The numerous ordinary soldiers are predominantly zombies, ghouls, corpse demons, Bodak corpses, and other decayed bodies that follow the darkness.
Who rules Narathiel seems to be a question.
In the obscure ages, a powerful Demon Lord named Orcus claimed dominion over the entire layer. However, after Orcus was declared dead, a drow deity associated with revenge and undeath proclaimed ownership of the spoils of victory and corresponding dominion over the layer, as well as the crown jewel of this realm—Narathiel. Yet, compelling evidence suggests that Orcus has not truly died as many believed; it appears he rarely dies and has even been resurrected at times. Later, the drow deity suddenly disappeared, and nobody knows if she fled or was killed.
Narathiel.
This is a land coveted even by Evil Gods.
When Soren’s Demon Legion arrived through the portal, they immediately saw many iconic structures of Narathiel.
Massive and grand mausoleums, some spanning dozens of acres, feature numerous underground passages, and in the distance are towering obelisks, a hallmark of Narathiel, as there are dozens of obelisks piercing the clouds, each reaching close to three hundred meters high.
Legends say these are relics left by ancient civilizations, and some claim they are enormous magical arrays set up by Orcus over thousands of years. (To be continued ~^~)
