Chapter Sixty-Eight: Join Forces!
Mikanxute is definitely the most difficult bitch to deal with in the multiverse.
Over the long years, she has had numerous lovers, including the fallen Digomorgen, Pazuzu (from whom she has many powerful succubus offspring, including the mysteriously enchanting ruler of the Broken Realm, dressed in red), Masterfield (the King of Hunts, who is the lord of the Iron Fortress of Pazunia on the first layer of the Bottomless Abyss), and Sorkos-Benoth (*** the embodiment of taboo and prohibition, coveting Graz’zt’s throne and forming an alliance with Mikanxute for that purpose, only to be killed by her in the end. He is also the source of Mikanxute’s current divine profession).
The Succubus Queen is definitely not to be trusted, but in order to deal with Yenogu, Soren also needs her power.
Upon hearing Soren’s words, Mikanxute fell into silence.
Soren knew she was intrigued and immediately seized the moment: “Yenogu is very close to your territory; if we don’t take him down while he’s weak, he will continue to harass and attack your domain in the future.”
“As long as we defeat him, I can promise you half of the spoils.”
“Including his territory.”
The benefits promised by Soren were like the last straw that broke the camel’s back, and Mikanxute finally lifted her head, revealing a charming smile as she gently clapped her hands and said, “I agree. You are right; this is indeed a rare opportunity.”
Clap, clap, clap!
The crisp sound of applause rang out, followed by the appearance of a white portal.
“At your service, Your Highness, Succubus Queen!”
A giant flesh ball appeared before them; it was an Eye Demon exuding a dangerous aura and weak divinity. Its eyes were different from all other Eye Demons because it was an upgraded Eye Demon Observer, with a biological level close to level 30, stronger than many lesser demon lords in the Bottomless Abyss.
The Eye Demon Observer possesses unique spatial powers, allowing it to teleport relatively easily within the Bottomless Abyss.
It glanced at Soren beside it before flying in front of Mikanxute.
It was Mikanxute’s advisor and military supervisor; the Eye Demon Observer helped her monitor her kingdom and legion, carefully keeping an eye on those with ulterior motives. Mikanxute wisely chose not to use succubi as her military supervisors; this Eye Demon Observer not only monitored the other succubi but also kept an eye on the Radiant Nuns.
“Summon my half-demon legion.”
Mikanxute looked at Soren and said in a grave tone, “It’s time for Yenogu to pay for his past deeds!”
In the Bottomless Abyss, benefits are the eternal melody.
Soren convinced Mikanxute, and she believed that the combined forces of two powerful demon lords would completely annihilate their enemy.
“Very good.”
Soren smiled and said, “Then next, we just need to recruit one more target.”
Who else to recruit?
Mikanxute thought for a moment and immediately knew who it was.
The King of Werewolves—Yenogu’s nemesis, the King of Minotaurs, Baphomet, a demon lord of the 600th layer of the Bottomless Abyss and the lord of the infernal minotaurs. His followers and servants are mainly minotaurs and giant bull demons.
A demon lord who may not be particularly powerful but has fought against Yenogu for thousands of years.
When Yenogu was still weak, he could not eliminate the King of Minotaurs, Baphomet; however, when Yenogu became strong enough to deal with him, the secret supporters of Baphomet had also appeared, namely the terrifying Cangye, the mother of demons in the Bottomless Abyss. She is the mother of many demon lords, including the Lord of Endless Darkness and the Queen of Shadows, among others. In the “Aman Dark Scrolls,” she is referred to as the mother of the entire Tana’li race, but this is not widely recognized by many demon lords. What is certain is that Cangye enjoys seducing powerful demons and finding ways to bear offspring; although there are many of these offspring, very few survive, with perhaps only three to five who become demon lords.
The King of Minotaurs, Baphomet, gained contact with the even older demon lord, the Lord of Chrysalises, through Cangye. After spending some time with the Lord of Chrysalises, Baphomet built the Tower of Rationality and began cultivating and shaping unique demons (legend has it that these are mutated giant bull demons) according to his vision.
The King of Minotaurs, Baphomet, has long wanted to ally with Mikanxute out of hatred for Yenogu.
However, for some unknown reason, several attempts at probing were rejected by Mikanxute, and thus Baphomet gradually gave up this idea.
“You want to rope in the King of Minotaurs, Baphomet?”
Upon hearing this, Mikanxute frowned and murmured, “He is indeed a good pawn and assistant. However, I really dislike standing behind the Night Mother.”
Indeed, it was because of Cangye.
Soren had also heard about the King of Minotaurs, Baphomet, attempting to ally with Mikanxute against Yenogu, but Mikanxute had rejected him multiple times, for the same reason Soren guessed: the Succubus Queen did not like the ancient demon, Cangye.
Cangye’s true self is hidden beneath her shroud, appearing as a delicate feminine figure, but in reality, her true form is so terrifying that even she refuses to accept it. Anyone who hopes to uncover the true appearance of the Mother of Demons by pulling aside the shroud must make a Fortitude save of difficulty 34 or higher; success means that before they can see her true appearance, another drifting veil covers the gap that has been revealed, while failure means they have seen the truth and die on the spot.
Soren did not dare to inquire why Mikanxute hated Cangye.
He merely gazed at the Succubus Queen before him and said slowly, “Yenogu is much stronger than in the past. He has stolen the power of the Obsidian Demon, and according to what I know, he has obtained a very dangerous artifact.”
“We need more cannon fodder.”
Yenogu’s own power is not particularly strong within the Bottomless Abyss.
However, Yenogu is quite the lucky guy, as in his layer there exists a very ancient Obsidian Demon, a long-dying ancient demon lord. Because of this, Yenogu quickly rose to power and even collected a very powerful artifact.
That is—the “Time Flail”!
This artifact has five heads in total; Soren has acquired two of them and given them to his Holy Spirit Priest, Milan, but the other three heads have already fallen into Yenogu’s hands.
This significantly enhanced Yenogu’s combat power!
In a direct confrontation, very few people can withstand the crushing attacks of the Time Flail. Fortunately, he only obtained three heads; if all five heads were gathered, the Time Flail would utterly surpass Pale Justice and the Holy Avenger in terms of pure melee killing power.
In a certain sense.
The complete Time Flail is the artifact with the highest damage and most stable damage attributes in the material plane.
Poison, fire, ice, electricity, acid.
During the active period of the God of Slaughter, the +5 Time Flail was the highest melee damage artifact ever seen at that time.
