In the 422nd layer of the Bottomless Abyss, the dark vast grassland.
The King of Werewolves – Yenogu has occupied this place and built the City of Yenogu here.
This city, which is about the size of a human city, is placed on a massive rocky roller, allowing it to roam across the entire layer, pulled by thousands of slaves snatched from the Material Plane and other planes. It is roughly estimated that this palace tours three permanent camps in a counterclockwise direction every year, stopping at the huge body of the sleeping Obilisk Demon Lord Bechard to conduct telepathic discussions with Yenogu, and ultimately replenishes the slaves who died from overexertion while dragging the capital of this layer at the Gathering Gate; most of the deceased slaves become food for the werewolves.
The entire City of Yenogu moves in a counterclockwise direction.
However, this city is the palace of the King of Werewolves, and besides it, there are three permanent camps in this layer, which house a large number of bred slaves and werewolves.
“Master!”
A tall succubus maid descended from the sky, softly saying to Soren: “The King of Werewolves – Yenogu has moved his city near Bechard’s End; a large number of werewolves and the army of enslavement have gathered there. He seems to want to face us in a decisive battle.”
Bechard’s End.
Upon hearing the name of this place, Soren’s expression slightly changed.
Because this is the body of an incredibly ancient Obilisk Demon Lord, which remains exposed in this layer to this day, like the corpse of a giant whale stranded on a beach.
“Yenogu must want to use Bechard’s power against us.”
The figure of the Succubus Queen – Mikanxute appeared, frowning: “Yenogu’s rise is closely related to this ancient Obilisk Demon; he guards against anyone who approaches Bechard. The Lord of Storms possessed terrifying power in life, even in death, his strength has fundamentally altered the structure of this plane.”
Soren remained silent.
He obviously knew this ancient Obilisk Demon Lord, but this was not a reason to back down. He looked at the Succubus Queen and said in a deep voice: “One person will be responsible for each permanent camp, and we will eventually gather our forces to attack Bechard’s End.”
This layer has a considerable territory.
In this vicinity, there are Yenogu’s followers and other dangerous predators filling the [Seeping Forest], while the greedy undead creatures belonging to the King of Ghouls – Doreisen proliferate in the Howling Peaks.
Although the King of Ghouls – Doreisen has fallen, Yenogu still controls a large army of ghouls.
He has been squeezing Doreisen’s residual value for thousands of years, raising tens of thousands of ghouls in this layer to help guard the slaves of other races.
Dark vast grassland.
Countless wild werewolves, hyenas that feed on rotting flesh, and numerous ferocious beasts gather in this expansive territory.
There are several important locations in this layer.
They are – Bechard’s End, the Ruins of Azar, the Howling Peaks, the Seeping Forest, the Gathering Gate, and the Cursed Throat.
The King of Werewolves – Yenogu is currently at Bechard’s End.
But before that, Soren must first eliminate the other camps, as attacking the City of Yenogu directly could lead to being ambushed by enemies from both sides. These places all have large slave markets, and Yenogu can always find ways to capture slaves from other planes.
Soon.
The Succubus Queen and the Bull King chose the location for their attack; aside from the location of the City of Yenogu, the only remaining place is one.
That is the [Gathering Gate].
This place is heavily guarded and is also Yenogu’s most important stronghold.
………………
The Gathering Gate is a massive circular portal.
It allows for two-way access to multiple Material Plane worlds known to Yenogu, not only the Material Plane where Soren himself is located but also the origin of the orcs and other Material Planes, such as the homeland of [Morduncan]. Morduncan is a legendary wizard who loves to roam, and the spells created by him have been passed down in many planes. He is a wizard capable of rivaling deities, although no one knows where he wanders in the multiverse now.
Soren had his demon army occupy this place.
Then he recorded the spatial markers of this ancient portal; it links to more than thirty planes, including almost all lower planes and many astral and material planes, except for the upper planes which are unreachable.
Yenogu could not establish such a portal.
He merely uses this ancient portal to help himself plunder slaves from other planes, which is why Yenogu has a vast number of human slaves.
“Other Material Planes, huh?”
Soren gazed at the enormous portal before him, muttering: “Perhaps it will be useful in the future.”
Transmitting faith across planes is not easy.
Because it can easily provoke the hostility of other deities; the Spider Queen is a successful cross-plane faith propagator, but that is only because she is a racial deity whose faith exists in any plane inhabited by Drow.
This is something other deities find difficult to replicate.
Deity cross-plane interactions often lead to terrible wars, such as the fall of the Murhand Pantheon, the Orc Gate campaign, the destruction of the Ilmat Empire, and so on.
However.
This is something Soren can also accomplish because he is the Lord of Death; if he expends a bit more effort to spread his faith to other planes, it wouldn’t be difficult.
In the end, souls are destined to return to the River of Underworld.
