Abyss Domination – Chapter 1210

Chapter 71: Ancient Demons! [Request for Monthly Ticket]

2017-02-13

Author: Floating Tower

Countless jackals were torn apart by demons.

Low-level demons gruesomely bit and tore at the flesh of these ferocious beasts. They were all raised by Yenogu on the plains and used as tools to cultivate wild werewolves.

The laws of this plane were also altered by Yenogu; it was the home of werewolves, where demons themselves could not dominate. Yenogu used special methods to select the powerful from the wild werewolves, transforming them into Infernal Werewolves. The true Abyssal Werewolves gathered near the City of Yenogu, along with a large number of human slaves. Werewolves greatly enjoyed the flesh and bl**d of humans, so Yenogu found ways to abduct a large number of human slaves from the Material Plane each year. The Convergence Gate was originally an important teleportation door, but in the end, it was used for such lowly purposes.

Soren left a legion of thirty thousand demons stationed at the Convergence Gate and then led his army to the City of Yenogu.

At present,

The City of Yenogu lingered at the endpoint of Bechard.

Long before Yenogu dominated this level, it was the domain of the Lord of Storms, the Obsidian Demon—Bechard. Although the betrayal and treachery of the Tanari demons ultimately severed Bechard’s connection to this layer and drained the life force from his massive, lifeless shell, the agony of the Obsidian Demon’s d*ath had persisted for endless ages. Now, this massive and bizarre demon resembled a twisted beached whale, unable to move on its own, exposed to the scorching sun of this layer. Time and again, the coastal rock formations that supported his half-dead body were shattered by violent hurricanes and acidic rain, inadvertently triggering the agonizing slow d*ath of Bechard’s once perfect control over the weather.

Though unable to speak, Bechard still retained fragments of his once vast consciousness. If contacted through telepathy, he would talk in a slow, melancholic tone, reminiscing about an age long before the birth of the Tanari demons, recounting the rise and fall of the ancient demons. A trusted frequent visitor might even hear Bechard tell that demons did not originate from the Bottomless Abyss but migrated from some other place after abandoning a long-lost evil creator race.

Yenogu felt curious and surprised by these legends, even though he could not fully grasp their significance. For a long time, this werewolf lord altered the course of the moving fortress, initiating an annual long trek in order to converse with the dying Obsidian Demon.

This was a space altered by tremendous power.

There is a saying within the multiverse.

—“The order deities created the world, and demons came uninvited!…”

The third generation of Tanari demons were indigenous, born from the desires of humans siphoned by Bechard, and in the ancient wars, the Tanari demons emerged victorious, replacing the Obsidian Demon and gaining dominion over the Bottomless Abyss.

However.

Throughout the long years, some Obsidian Demons still existed.

In the boundless Astral Realm, there were the remains of the oldest order deities and the first demons left from battles, these ancient god corpses drifting in the Astral Realm, occasionally giving rise to immensely powerful Sleepless Ones.

Bechard was one such demon, dying but not quite dead.

He was already dead.

But somehow, he had not completely perished; Bechard retained some ancient memories and could communicate telepathically with certain intelligent beings.

He was the Lord of Storms.

Even among the Obsidian Demons, he was extraordinarily powerful, and now his body lay exposed in this layer, impossible to quantify just how massive he was, but from the exposed flesh, one could judge that even a hundred-armed giant would seem like a little fellow before him.

He resembled a beached whale, parts of his body having been covered by rock strata over the long ages.

The power emanating from this ancient Obsidian Demon altered the climate of this space, enveloping it frequently in fierce winds and acidic rains. Yenogu was the only visitor here; ever since gaining dominion over this layer, Yenogu was wary of anyone approaching Bechard’s body.

When Soren’s army arrived,

They felt a terrifying storm power; dark clouds covered the earth as if brewing something horrific.

This was the first demon.

From other worlds, who battled the order deities and created the Bottomless Abyss.

Fortunately, he was already dead, but such a being was hard to fully extinguish, much like the ancient god’s corpses were dead yet still very dangerous, as beings of this caliber seldom died completely.

The consciousness of the Obsidian Demon lord still persisted.

The pain of his d*ath had continued for thousands of years, yet even so, a fragment of his consciousness still occasionally surfaced.

“The situation feels a bit off.”

Mikanxute’s figure appeared, gazing at the City of Yenogu ahead, murmuring, “It seems he has some scheme waiting for us.”

Soren nodded but replied, “In this situation, there are no other options.”

“Prepare for assault.”

They had already reached Yenogu’s doorstep; whatever scheme was afoot, they could only charge in.

There was only one opportunity.

Accompanied by the thundering sound of war drums, countless demons surged forward, and within the City of Yenogu before them, countless werewolves stood guard, yet they showed no intention to move.

Suddenly!

The entire world changed dramatically as a powerful force accompanied a violent wind, dark clouds sliced through with flashes of lightning. Then, a furious gale swept forth, and before Soren, an enormous tornado appeared, forming in an instant, and it swept up thousands of demons within it; the weak were torn to shreds, and the strong were flung God-knows-where.

Three giant tornadoes appeared before them.

They guarded the perimeter of the City of Yenogu, and their mere appearance caused tens of thousands of casualties for Soren’s coalition.

This was the power of nature!

Before such a terrifying natural disaster, even high-level demons found it hard to resist.

“It’s the power of the Lord of Storms!”

Mikanxute’s expression was grim as he spoke, “In this situation, we can’t approach the City of Yenogu at all. Do you have any way to dispel this terrifying tornado?”

Soren said nothing.

But the next moment, a golden figure projected onto the sky. Its radiance pierced through the dark clouds, a hundred-foot tall giant gazed down at the City of Yenogu before him. In the terrified eyes of the King of Werewolves, he directly reached out to grasp the gigantic tornado. The power that made all demons tremble enveloped the space, and even Mikanxute couldn’t help but tremble. The hundred-foot tall golden giant was not a physical entity; it was merely an avatar of a deity, but its appearance sent shivers down the spines of countless demons. The powerful divine power sealed off the space; under the golden giant’s palm, the terrifying tornado before them was grasped like a toy and then vanished into the sky.
