This new book takes part from “Abyss Master” and also provides a certain supplement to the afterword. The time span is roughly three hundred years after the outbreak of the Saint’s Cataclysm, but the story does not take place in the original universe. Instead, it unfolds in a Floating City during the Arcane Empire period, having crossed into other crystalline wall systems through a temporal disturbance. This Floating City reestablished the Supreme Arcane Council, and the protagonist of the new book is a tumor within the council, facing trial for unleashing the Divine Bastard.
The writing quality of Floating Tower should still be acceptable.
