Chapter 32: Princess Anna’s Daily Life

In the Frozen Kingdom, Arendelle.
Princess Anna was awakened by a beam of morning light. She first opened her eyes, then lay there in a daze as if she hadn’t fully woken up, and finally stretched herself beautifully. The maids outside seemed to have heard the movement inside, and soon two lovely maids entered with dresses, one of whom was also holding undergarments, as the princess did not particularly like wearing clothes to sleep. The girl’s delicate figure appeared beneath the thin velvet blanket as she gently lifted one corner of the blanket, revealing a patch of fair and smooth skin.
The temperature in the room was warm.
The central crystal chandelier slowly lit up, a product of alchemy only the royal family could afford.
Princess Anna stretched and yawned, then allowed the maids behind her to dress her one piece at a time. Before long, she was dressed in her gown, and one maid opened the window, revealing the distant azure sea. Getting up was certainly not that simple; two or three more maids filed into the room, carrying a silver basin, washing tools, and today’s clothing accessories. The expression on Princess Anna’s face seemed somewhat helpless as she gently wiped her face with a towel and instructed softly, “Take them away. I don’t want to wear these today.”
One by one, the exquisite court adornments were taken out, and in the end, Princess Anna chose a pair of crystal earrings.
The maid behind her styled her hair, and her smooth golden locks were arranged into a beautiful bun. She looked into the large, gold-trimmed mirror and lightly waved her hand, saying, “That’ll do. Where’s my sister? Why haven’t I seen her today?”
The girl stood up slowly.
She seemed a bit more refined and serene than before; her previously gaunt face had regained its flush, and her body seemed to have elongated slightly. Wearing a fitted crystal dress made her chest look fuller. Standing barefoot on the soft carpeted floor, she suddenly seemed to realize something. She tugged at the elegant maid in front of her, gestured, and smiled, saying, “Tina, have you gotten shorter? Or have I grown taller?”
“Your Highness has grown taller.”
The elegant maid smiled slightly and brought over a pair of exquisite deerskin boots, saying softly, “Your Highness is much taller than before.”
She gestured with her fingers, indicating about less than a centimeter.
Princess Anna spent nearly an hour getting out of bed, washing, and dressing. Only after everything was done did the maids file out, leaving behind her two personal maids.
She moved a little, placing her slender hands on her waist and murmured, “It’s a little tight. Have I gained a little weight?”
She had been sleeping quite a bit lately.
Whenever she thought of that person, she would feel an inexplicable grievance in her heart, and then she would lie on the bed and sleep.
Is he doing well?
Where is he now? Will he come to marry me?
The girl gazed into the distance in a daze, and the two maids exchanged glances. They said nothing; when the princess thought of that man, she would become lost in thought like this. They could not understand why the princess liked such an adventurer, although the man was somewhat handsome and seemed to possess some ability. But after all, he was just an adventurer. There were so many excellent young nobles in the kingdom and princes from other countries seeking to propose. In their eyes, any of them would be far superior to an adventurer.
Princess Anna did not stay lost in thought for long; in fact, she had gradually gotten used to it. The initial impulse had completely faded, only occasionally surfacing as nostalgia.
This nostalgia was no longer as intense as before, but it still arose from time to time.
Inside the royal palace.
Princess Anna walked out draped in a red cloak, glancing at the captain of the guards in front of her, and could not help but frown slightly, saying, “Where is my sister? Is she not here?”
The captain of the guards slightly bowed and replied, “Her Majesty the Queen has gone outside the palace. She should be back soon.”
“Is that so?” Princess Anna nodded and then sat down on the throne to begin handling documents. In fact, many matters within Arendelle were now being managed by her. The girl flipped through the documents she was reading, with several ladies-in-waiting standing beside her, sometimes relaying her orders. She was reading quickly, and after reviewing a pile of documents, she finally looked up and murmured, “It seems like my sister has been going out often lately? She seems to have something going on?”
No one beside her responded; they could not inquire about the Queen’s affairs.
Step, step, step.
The sound of continuous footsteps echoed, and then a robust man entered. He had very obvious northern features and was dressed in heavy armor. Upon seeing Princess Anna on the throne, he slightly bowed before saying, “Your Highness, that Viking doesn’t seem to be behaving again. They have attacked our fleet and raided many villages.”
Vikings?
Princess Anna raised her head, her eyebrows furrowing slightly, anger flashing in her eyes as she said, “Are those pirates causing trouble again?”
She was the heir to the kingdom of Arendelle.
Since she began managing the kingdom, she had come to understand that one of the most troublesome issues was those Vikings. These people living in the overseas Iceland were very difficult to deal with; they were strong and savage, and their harsher living environment made them natural pirates and raiders. They maintained an ancient, traditional, and barbaric belief, believing that only the souls of those who died in battle could return to the realm of their deity, while those who died peacefully on their beds would only fall into the River of Underworld.
Thus, they would keep fighting, and sometimes they would choose to end their lives with a battle!
The eldest princess had severely punished them after taking the throne, which had forced these natural pirates to restrain themselves somewhat, yet they still raided and attacked Arendelle from time to time because they could not live without plundering enough supplies. These people worshiped the totem god of war spirits and liked to place dragon-head insignias on their warships. Even with a deity behind them, sometimes the eldest princess still had no way to handle them. They were like locusts, attacking coastal areas and merchant ships every year, and if they encountered the kingdom’s army, these guys would flee back to Iceland.
Many individuals coveted Arendelle’s wealth.
The Vikings were just one of them. Had it not been for the eldest princess rising to power, perhaps Arendelle would have long been engulfed in war.
Princess Anna rubbed her forehead; she often lacked the decisiveness that the eldest princess had when dealing with such problems. After all, she was just a young girl, and her past education had not yet equipped her with enough experience to tackle it all. She furrowed her brows, looking at the captain of the guards beside her, and said softly, “Has my sister not returned yet? Where has she gone?”
The eldest princess’s recent whereabouts were unclear.
It seemed she had gathered many court wizards, and recently the affairs of the kingdom had been entrusted to Princess Anna. No one knew what exactly she planned to do.
Time passed.
Around midday, the silhouette of the eldest princess finally appeared, standing next to her was a mysterious woman shrouded in a cloak.
For some reason!
Upon seeing the mysterious woman, Princess Anna couldn’t help but frown slightly, her expression seemingly disapproving.
She did not like this woman.
For no particular reason, just a girl’s instinct!

Shipwreck Bay.
Soren weaved through the crowd, behind him lay a number of corpses. His shadowy figure moved like a ghost; each time the glint of his kn*fe appeared, another body would fall. The merciless slaughter was spreading, and the killing intent around Soren grew stronger. The effect of the Greater Invisibility Spell was waning, bl**d covering his entire body, making him appear as if he was emanating a faint crimson light. The smell of fear spread across the pirate ship, and the enemies gradually collapsed under the relentless massacre.
One, two, three… five, ten, twenty… thirty, forty, fifty…
Each life he ended increased his momentum, making his expression even colder, until at last, he seemed like the harbinger of d*ath, harvesting one life after another. Soren moved like a killing machine, and only when the cold prompt appeared did he finally stop.
“Slaughterer [Background Specialty]: You have become accustomed to d*ath and bl**d through repeated killings. Ending a life poses no difficulty or fear to you. You have ended hundreds of lives with your hands, and you begin to disregard life and d*ath. In battle, you will awaken the ability of the Slaughterer, which will instill great fear in your enemies. Anyone engaged in combat must undergo a will check; otherwise, they will fall into a state of panic due to fear. [Permanent Will +2, Intimidation +20]”
Now is the time!
Soren stood among the scattered limbs and severed arms, a divine light suddenly flickered in his eyes, and then a formless energy spread out. The nearby enemies seemed to sense immense fear, fleeing wildly as if struck by a fear spell. This fear was so difficult to resist, leaving a mark on their hearts—not only his enemies but even his recruited subordinates felt inexplicably terrified, as if even their souls trembled.
Divinity Value was rapidly transforming.
Just as Soren’s aura reached its peak, in a room of Taro Port, Vivian’s form also strangely levitated. Her pale little hand seemed to move slightly, her eyelids fluttering slightly, followed by a bend and movement of her index finger, and then her lips moved as if uttering something.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes, unconsciously shouting out a phrase.
“Brother!?”
Vivian’s petite figure fell from mid-air, she looked at her white princess dress, seemingly feeling not quite satisfied, waved her hand to change into a black princess dress instead. She gently twirled around and then smiled brightly, saying, “Sure enough, that idiot is slower than me; finally, it’s my turn to come out. Brother? Where’s my brother?”
