He did not pay attention to the corpses on the ground.
Soren staggered as he walked toward the alley’s exit, not even glancing at the potentially legendary loot on the bodies. His vision was becoming blurred; everything seemed to be swaying, and he thought he saw some data flashing by. However, due to excessive blood loss, his brain was becoming unclear, and his breathing was growing more difficult as the strength within him gradually seeped away. If it weren’t for a powerful will sustaining his body, he might have already collapsed.
A row of data appeared:

What Soren saw was becoming increasingly blurry.
His vitality was gradually fading, but he was unwilling to die just like that. He couldn’t die, nor should he die at the hands of such enemies. Then, he heard a voice.
As if the last potential had been drained, Soren suddenly opened his eyes. His pupils shimmered with a blood-red light, and in front of him appeared a woman. Soren could no longer see her clearly, but he could sense that she was very tense, as anyone would be startled to see a blood-soaked person emerging from an alley. This woman seemed to be an Amazon female warrior; she appeared alert and prepared to draw her weapon upon seeing Soren. However, at that moment, Soren suddenly quickened his pace and charged forward.
“Sorry!”
As if using the last bit of his strength, Soren squeezed out all his potential and softly said “sorry” before pointing his finger at the Amazon woman who happened to be nearby.

As Soren’s finger touched her, a vigorous vitality was transferred from the Amazon woman’s body to Soren’s. The wound on his back seemed to heal significantly, even the pierced heart felt as if it was partially treated; this was the effect of the specialty [Spell Control]. Soren desperately controlled the life energy absorbed by the spell to transfer it to his heart, healing the vital area that had been pierced by the enemy.
Soren’s breathing gradually became stronger, and everything in front of him became clearer.

Upon activation, any enemy you directly touch will lose (Divinity Value + Spell Strength) * 3 health points, with a maximum absorption of 60 health points. This health will be transferred to you and heal your wounds. If it exceeds your current health points, this life energy will remain for one hour, additionally increasing your health point limit. The effects of this spell do not stack; the target may die from complete depletion of life force. This ability enhances with divinity rank!” [Once per day.]

A cold corpse fell to the ground.
As Soren’s wounds gradually healed, the Amazon woman’s breath became weaker and weaker until her face seemed to lose its luster entirely, her skin turned pale and dim, and ultimately she stopped breathing altogether. So she died.
Soren said “sorry” before touching her because he knew that those whose life energy he absorbed had little chance of surviving.
But he felt no regret.
Although it seemed like it was his first time taking an unrelated life to save his own.
There was no time to think too much; the wound on his heart had not completely healed, and as long as it was not healed, his vitality would continue to dissipate. Soren did not take another glance at the fallen corpse on the ground and directly rushed toward the Ocean Temple.
