Soren was not on the Southern Coast.
It’s unclear when this news began to spread among others.
The legendary and fearsome Pirate King was not on the Southern Coast, which naturally prompted others to stir. Soren’s deterrent power was undeniable; his presence on the Southern Coast was a legend. As long as Soren was stationed there, no one dared to act. However, news of his absence had surfaced, stating he was likely in the Frozen Kingdom on the other side of the continent, prompting many who harbored hatred for him to take action.
The Pirate King of the Amazon.
This Pirate King, active in the Amazon Islands, seemed to feel threatened by Soren’s rise; however, she did not launch an attack but instead slightly expanded her area of operations.
It was obvious.
The territory she controlled was edging closer to Soren’s overseas routes.
But this was not the greatest threat to the Southern Coast, as this Amazonian Pirate King had always been cautious. At this time, she likely had no intention of engaging in all-out war with Soren.
Thus, her actions were merely a form of probing, a covert provocation.
The real threat came from the Rosad Duchy.
In the battle that defeated Pirate King Asrold, Soren also severely injured the Rosad Duchy’s navy, even killing the Duchess of Red Dragon once, forcing her to use the ‘Life Concealment Technique’ to resurrect.
Such enmity was intense!
In many ways, it was nearly impossible to resolve, so upon receiving news of Soren’s absence from the Southern Coast, the Rosad Duchy’s navy immediately took action.
This action alarmed the Half-Elf First Mate, who was stationed on the Eastern Sea Route.
He could deal with various pirates from the east but struggled against the Duchess of the Red Dragon; unable to contact Soren, his only course of action was to seek aid from Modo.
………..
Fury Sand Island.
Once a base for Pirate King Asrold, it was now a transit station on the Eastern Sea Route managed by the Half-Elf First Mate.
At this moment, the port was solemn, as if a storm was about to brew.
The movements of the Rosad Duchy’s navy were unusual; they had somehow secretly equipped themselves with more warships. There were rumors that they were covertly supported by the Amazon pirates, although there was no specific source of intelligence. The only certainty was that the Rosad Duchy’s navy had received a significant number of warships and had reformed into a formidable fleet. In the entire Southern Coast region, aside from a few nearby kingdoms, only the Amazon women could provide such support.
The kingdom could not support the navies of other nations with its warships, so the possibility of support from the Amazon women was the highest.
The Amazon Islands were already overseas.
Warships were their regular military force, and supporting the Rosad Duchy was not difficult for them.
A warship gradually approached Fury Sand Island.
At this moment, many people had gathered at the port, including other pirate leaders with the Half-Elf First Mate, all waiting at the port.
Across the entire Southern Coast!
Aside from Soren, it seemed that only one person could command such respectful waiting.
Gloria’s figure appeared on the deck.
She wore a black wizard robe, with a veil covering her face; even so, she looked extraordinarily beautiful at this moment, as if shrouded in a sense of mystery. Beside her was little Vivian, who was dressed in a pure white princess dress. Behind them was Lulu, who looked somewhat bewildered. Finally, in the dark corner of the ship’s cabin, there seemed to be another figure in a wizard robe who remained hidden, standing quietly in the back.
“Your Ladyship!”
The Half-Elf First Mate knelt on one knee. The pirate leaders behind him all followed suit, kneeling and saying, “Your Ladyship! Young Miss!…”
Soren’s intentions had become clearer.
His ambitions made his enemies feel uneasy. Not only did his subordinates understand some things, but his enemies had also begun to sense what was happening. Especially after seizing territories on the West Coast and North Coast, Soren’s former enemies had become increasingly restless. Meanwhile, some rules were quietly changing. Once lawless pirate leaders were now starting to learn laws and regulations; they needed to learn how to become managers because they were no longer mere pirates who robbed and ran away but rulers with territories to manage and build.
“Get up.”
Gloria walked gracefully, like a noble princess, reaching out to take little Vivian’s hand. She glanced at the other pirate leaders and said slowly, “Gather the others in the council hall.”
“Yes,” replied the Half-Elf First Mate respectfully.
It could be said that across the Southern Coast region, aside from Soren, only Gloria could impress these unruly pirate leaders.
Not only because of her status in the Northern Witch Council but also due to her strength.
Since she followed Soren to the Overseas Islands, Gloria’s identity and status had been anything but ordinary. Although she rarely involved herself in overseas matters in Soren’s absence, her voice held undeniable weight!
………..
As night fell.
Gloria, feeling a bit weary, rubbed her forehead and then put down the documents in her hand.
The situation on the Eastern Sea Route was not very good, the Rosad Duchy’s navy had grown stronger, and the possibility of going to war with them was too high!
New grudges and old hatreds.
Gloria, also a powerful spellcaster, understood very well how deeply the Duchess of Red Dragon hated Soren!
Today, they had debated in the council hall all afternoon.
Various intelligence indicated that the Rosad Duchy could threaten the Eastern Sea Route, and the Amazonian pirate women also seemed to be stirring.
These Amazonian women were no simple matter!
They were not just ordinary pirates; behind them stood an Amazon clan and the Church of the Deity that worships the Lord of Storms.
Soren was expanding too quickly.
Everyone nearby felt threatened, leading to an increase in the number of enemies.
“Gloria sister?”
Vivian’s clear voice rang out as the little girl approached with a plate of snacks, behaving sweetly: “Look! I brought you something delicious.”
Lulu followed closely, her face full of desire as she gazed at the exquisite snacks.
They looked delicious at first glance!
Meow.
A smile involuntarily crept onto Gloria’s beautiful face. Just as she was about to say something, her expression suddenly changed, and she vanished from her spot, leaving only a shadow to say, “Vivian! Stay here!”
Short-range teleportation.
Gloria’s figure appeared on the rooftop in an instant, accompanied by another figure.
“Mother.”
She gazed at the empty sky, her expression serious: “We’ve forced her out!”
A beam of spell light appeared.
Gloria ascended, cloaked in darkness, with the Fallen Witch flying up beside her.
Before them.
An eerie, light laugh reverberated, and with the detection of an invisibility spell’s light, a figure in a flowing red dress with a pair of enormous red dragon wings sprang into view.
“You are Gloria?”
In the moonlight, the figure was hazy, but recognizing her identity was not difficult.
Gloria’s expression was calm.
She turned to glance at the Fallen Witch behind her and said slowly: “Mother. Let me deal with her!… Perfect timing, I’ve just finished a little something!…”
Snap.
Gloria raised her hand and snapped her fingers, a gesture seemingly learned from Soren.
A faint golden light appeared.
In Gloria’s palm, a tarot card emerged, and with a gentle wave of her fair fingers, all fifty-six tarot cards began to dance around her body, encircled by a strange arcane glow as they formed a circle around her.
“Although I’ve only completed fifty-six minor cards, it should be enough to deal with you.”
Gloria smiled, lightly flicking a finger onto one of the tarot cards. In the next moment, a stunning lightning bolt streaked across the sky, striking the enemy before her.
—”Lightning Spell!”
A dark golden card materialized.
This was a card that Soren had seen before; now it was pinched between Gloria’s fingers, though it seemed she had no intention of using it.
………..
Tarot cards.
There are a total of 78 cards, consisting of 22 major cards and 56 minor cards.
The dark golden card that Gloria currently held between her fingertips was ‘The Queen’ from the 22 major cards; it possessed a powerful magic distinct from the other 56 minor cards! (To be continued ~^~)
