Chapter 69 Timeline

“Lalalalala!”
“This is my home! What do you think?”
The little girl appeared very lively, but just a bit talkative. Perhaps that’s the nature of Brass Dragons; they are quite chatty. The actions of the chaotic faction are completely different from those of the lawful faction, which is why there’s a saying that ‘chaos has always produced goofballs’. Just like the cute little girl in front of him, who was previously battling Soren intensely but was now chattering away as if they were old friends, leaving Soren somewhat unable to adjust his attitude.
The little girl led him into the interior of the dragon lair, which was actually just a large cave.
Brass Dragons like dry and warm environments, and this entire cave is close to a nearby volcano, allowing them to occasionally change their diet with sulfuric magma or something.
Anyway, it seems that Brass Dragons can eat just about anything.
There were no treasures inside the lair, which made Soren think about the spatial rift she had opened initially; this little girl seemed to have a good level of spellcasting, which might suggest a small interdimensional space.
This is a very high-level spell!
Because all demiplanes start from small interdimensional spaces.
“Why aren’t you talking?”
“You seem quite impressive! You must have gone through a lot of interesting adventures, right? Why don’t you tell me about it?”
“Can you tell stories?”
“I really like hearing human stories, but why do dragons always get defeated by humans in the end? You humans are so weak, you just die with a light tap! The heroes in those stories are so weak too!”
“Huh?”
“That curved blade of yours seems pretty impressive! Is it some kind of treasure? Can I see it?”
“So boring!”
“Why aren’t you talking! Why aren’t your invisibility spells being dispelled! Do you have something remarkable on you?”
“Hey, hey, hey!”
“Talk! Talk! You’re not mute or anything!…”
The little girl babbled nonstop along the way, but Soren didn’t respond to her; he only nodded or shook his head occasionally or quietly walked behind her.
Slap.
After returning to the dragon lair, the little girl plopped down on a chiselled stone bed and cocked her head, saying, “Hey! What’s your name?”
Soren glanced at her and answered, “Soren.”
“Soren, huh?” The little girl tidied her light golden hair and mumbled, “That’s a bit of a strange name. I’m Sissi.”
Sissi?
The last two syllables she pronounced were in Draconic, simply put, it sounded like ‘SISI’.
This was obviously not her real name.
Dragons typically have long names, especially for those of high status like her; their names would certainly be quite lengthy.
“Ah-la!”
The little girl stood up, smiled, and said, “You can also call me Alice. But I still prefer others calling me Sissi.”
Alice.
A very common name; there are probably thousands with the same name.
“Can you tell stories?”
The little girl’s beautiful light golden eyes widened as she stared at Soren. Her pupils seemed to change color slightly; sometimes they looked light golden, and other times they resembled brass. At this moment, the little girl had a face full of longing, wide-eyed looking at Soren, pleading, “Please tell me some nice stories? I haven’t heard anyone tell stories in a long time!”
“If not, then you can just tell about your adventures too.”
Soren helplessly looked at her and said slowly, “That elemental crystal is very important to me; how can you give it to me?”
Upon hearing this, the little girl’s big eyes twinkled.
In her white little hands appeared a fiery red elemental crystal. She tossed it lightly and said seriously, “You have to tell me a story first. If it’s really interesting, I might consider whether to give it to you.”
“You should know, I’m a dragon!”
“To take something from a dragon, you have to pay a price!”
Soren let out a helpless sigh.
He thought for a moment. Then he slowly said, “Alright. Then I’ll tell you a story first.”
Telling stories.
Vivian also liked to hear stories when she was young, so this wasn’t hard for Soren, but coming up with a story that a dragon would find interesting was not easy; he could only improvise and see if he could stitch together something she would be satisfied with.
Soren pondered for a moment.
Suddenly, something seemed to click in his mind. He quickly conceived a story starring a dragon as the protagonist; after all, he had the abilities of ‘photographic memory’ and ‘photographic recollection’. He even had the specialty of being a scholar, which had recently improved his eloquence. He filtered through the ideas in his mind and quickly thought of a seemingly cliché yet very appealing story about a dragon princess seeking revenge, where the final antagonist was the evil and treacherous ‘Calamity Dragon’.
(Note 1: The Calamity Dragon is a type of dragon that loves decadence, betrayal, and decay. Their cruel manipulation skills have made their notoriety even more widely known. These dragons often conspire with undead creatures, at times as allies, and at times as their rulers, weaving schemes of deception and temptation in deep caves, dark forests, and foul swamps.)
(Note 2: Eloquence, deception, fraud.)
…………..
Fury Sand Island.
The battle in mid-air had already attracted many, but this level of spellcaster combat was something other pirates couldn’t intervene in.
Gloria’s figure hovered in midair, and nearly half of the tarot cards around her had dimmed. Her pale fingers still clutched the dark golden ‘Queen’, but she seemed to have no intention of using it. Gloria’s silver-white hair fluttered in the wind, and she showed no visible signs of injury, but the Duchess of Red Dragon in front of her was badly hurt, yet the opponent seemed not to care about her injuries at all.
“Finish her off.”
The Fallen Witch stood in a shadowy corner, gazing at the Duchess of Red Dragon, and said slowly, “Just a simulacrum. It seems she’s learned her lesson.”
Simulacrum spell.
An eighth-level spell.
It can simulate the caster’s body and some abilities, considered an advanced version of Projection Technique.
The Duchess of Red Dragon did not come in her true form; it seems that after suffering the last time, she had learned quite a bit and even knew to send a simulacrum to test them.
Rumbling!
An astounding flash of lightning fell from the sky; Gloria had already touched the legendary realm, and even some mid to low-level spells in her hands were immensely powerful.
“Hehe! Let’s call it a night.”
The Duchess of Red Dragon seemed to have completely given up on resisting; she looked at Gloria in front of her and said playfully, “This contest has only just begun! I will be back for you!”
In an instant.
Her body vanished like fireworks under the lightning, leaving nothing behind.
Gloria watched the vanishing form of the Duchess of Red Dragon and slowly descended to the ground, softly saying, “This woman isn’t easy to deal with! She won’t give up so easily.”
The Fallen Witch murmured an ‘mmh’ softly, then turned and walked toward her room.
Gloria watched her departing figure, sensing something that made her frown lightly, and a hint of worry appeared on her face.
Inside the room.
The Fallen Witch activated a magical barrier as soon as she entered. She then removed her cloak, revealing an incredibly enchanting visage. At that moment, a strange crimson hue appeared on her face; her breaths seemed to grow a bit rapid, and her full chest rose and fell gently as if she were trying to endure something. After a moment, she seemed unable to bear it any longer and lifted her fair fingers to lightly graze her chest; soon afterward, a seductive moan escaped her lips.
As if being electrocuted!
The blush on her face became more pronounced, and her body trembled slightly. She slowly retracted her fingers, murmuring, “Time is running out!”
“I must quickly perform a taboo ritual to please the Succubus Queen.”
“Otherwise.”
“The mark left by Him will only make me suffer more and more!…”
Slap.
The Fallen Witch hesitated, taking out a silk black whip, and then slowly shed her clothes, revealing her well-proportioned and tall figure. She gently bit her lip and swung the long whip against her fair, delicate back; accompanied by a crisp sound, a clear red whip mark immediately appeared.
“Ah!…”
The Fallen Witch let out a sound that was half pain and half pleasure, slowly raising the black whip again.
Power obtained too easily must have a price!
Abyss Demon Gods.
They are never easy to deal with.
