Buzz.
The air trembled with Soren’s voice, as if an invisible mental force spread out, directly enveloping the entire battlefield. The Half-Orc Army’s wave-like attack came to an abrupt halt, a terrifying pressure instantly stiffening everyone on the battlefield. Not only did the attacking Half-Orcs freeze in place, but even the defending Half-Elven army on the city walls felt short of breath and rigid.
Dragon Pressure!
A very powerful Dragon Pressure.
Stronger than any giant dragon Soren had ever encountered. Even though they had not yet arrived on the battlefield, the fearsome Dragon Pressure already instilled terror in everyone. The massive dragon beast ridden by the Half-Orc chieftain Eugene knelt directly on the ground, its huge body trembling, nearly crushing the Half-Orc soldiers beside it.
Following that, the sky split open, revealing a rift, and a portal to other worlds was opened!
Interdimensional Summoning.
When Soren invoked the ‘Dragon Pact’ in the name of the deity, he was not summoning a Brass Dragon from the Material Plane, but directly communicating the summoning contract to all the Brass Dragons in the Multiverse. The existence of deities transcends that of mortals; when Soren completed the contract in the name of the divine, its gravity was astonishing, potentially attracting some very ancient beings.
Roar!
A terrifying dragon roar came from the sky, instantly wreaking havoc across the battlefield, causing soldiers on both sides to tremble in fear, revealing a hint of true terror in their eyes.
— “High-Level Dragon Pressure!”
Soren’s expression shifted slightly, and a look of horror appeared on Eugene’s aged face!
A howling gale swept through.
A massive figure dove down from the rift in the sky, but this was only the beginning. Following the appearance of the first colossal copper-colored figure, two more adult dragons emerged. Although they were much smaller than the first giant dragon, they were all adult Brass Dragons.
Dragon wings stirred up a storm of sand and dust, and the terrible pressure enveloped all mortals.
The leading Brass Dragon spread its wings, casting a colossal shadow. With eyes that seemed to merge into a metallic sphere, it stared at Soren’s avatar before shifting its gaze towards the Half-Orcs in front. Flames danced in its massive mouth, and not just the leading Brass Dragon, but also the other two dragons revealed their scorching breath. Three terrifying dragon breaths descended from the sky, accompanied by a surging heatwave, directly engulfing the Half-Orc army before them.
The three giant dragons flew past the ranks of the Half-Orc army, their scorching breaths carving out lines of d*ath through the formations as if plowing the ground.
Ancient Brass Dragon!
The Dragon Pact completed by Soren in the name of the deity had summoned Ancient Brass Dragons with a biological level of 30 or above.
Wyrmling, Young Dragon, Juvenile Dragon, Young Adult Dragon, Adult Dragon, Mature Dragon, Elder Dragon, Ancient Dragon, Old Dragon, and Primal Dragon. The power of dragons grows stronger over time; what can be seen in the Material Plane is mostly adult dragons. Many of them depart for other worlds once they reach a certain level of power because it is rare to see any dragon older than an Elder Dragon in the world. Currently, there is only one Ancient Red Dragon hiding near White Horse City.
This Ancient Red Dragon merely relocated its lair but ended up wreaking havoc on White Horse City, plunging the entire Southern Kingdom into chaos.
It is unimaginable what a being like an Ancient Dragon, second only to the Primal Dragon, represents!
Under the High-Level Dragon Pressure,
Even Soren’s avatar felt greatly influenced. As for the other mortals on the battlefield, some lacked the willpower to even grip their weapons.
The long life of the Ancient Brass Dragon turned its scales into a rather dull copper color, yet its protective abilities far exceeded those of other dragons. Such beings rarely concern themselves with mortal affairs since they are close to divine existence. The breath of the Ancient Dragon almost incinerated everything, easily melting weapons forged from steel into molten iron. Accompanying it, the other two adult Brass Dragons directly crushed the Half-Orc army under their dragon breath.
There was no power to resist!
The Half-Orcs couldn’t even attack the dragons in the sky; the battlefield’s situation was instantly reversed.
Dragons.
They are beings that surpass all mortals. When their figures appear on the battlefield, they are in themselves a terrible disaster!
“No!!!”
Eugene’s crimson eyes locked onto the dragons in the sky as he witnessed countless Half-Orc warriors being turned to ash by the dragon breath. He bellowed in fury, his beard bristling, and then leaped violently into the air, tightening his grip on the Bone War Spear and throwing it.
The whistling spear split the air!
Elemental power made it through the air like a lightning bolt; the legendary War Shaman’s full-force attack created a thunderous sound.
Clang!
Facing the thrown Bone War Spear, the Ancient Brass Dragon swung its tail with an astonishing technique, deflecting the spear away effortlessly.
Incredible!
Soren had never seen a dragon exhibit such a ‘tail sweep’ technique; perhaps only an Ancient Dragon that had traversed the long years could reach such a level.
Woo-oo-oo!
A mournful horn sounded.
A massive pitch-black werewolf appeared by Eugene’s side, grabbing the seemingly crazed Half-Orc chieftain and growling, “Retreat!”
“The enemy is using the High-Level Dragon Pact! Staying here is certain d*ath!”
“Hurry and retreat!”
“These dragons won’t linger here for long! As long as our army remains, we can regroup! My Lord Yenogu will send more reinforcements!…”
“The warriors of the Blackthorn Werewolves cannot d*e in vain!”
The dragons wreaked havoc in the sky.
The Half-Orc army had turned into a sea of flames, and Eugene didn’t even need to issue orders; many soldiers had already collapsed.
This was an existence they could not contend with!
Even during Soren’s prime, he might not have been able to defeat an Ancient Dragon. Unless a divine avatar saint appeared at that crucial moment, even a legendary team could potentially face total annihilation.
Because the challenge level of the Ancient Brass Dragon is above 24!
On the entire battlefield, it’s likely that combining all the Half-Orcs and Half-Elves together would not yield a party of adventurers with a profession level of 24 or above.
They retreated!
The Half-Orc army retreated.
All the Half-Orc warriors fled for their lives, their morale instantly shattered by the terrifying dragon breath.
Eugene’s aged figure stood still, his mournful eyes gazing at the countless charred bodies of brave warriors before him, ultimately directing a gaze filled with anger and hatred towards the white figure on the city wall.
The Ancient Brass Dragon still circled in the sky but did not continue its attack.
It did not heed anyone’s commands. After completing the Dragon Pact and devastating the Half-Orc army before it, its gaze remained locked on the old Half-Orc.
It sensed danger!
This was the only existence in the entire battlefield that could threaten it if it landed.
There was a certain power within the old Half-Orc, an ancient power that felt like a primal deity, something tied to totemic faith or ancestral worship.
This power could potentially k*ll the Ancient Dragon!
………………
Eugene ultimately retreated.
Even though the chance to crush the Half-Elves was in sight, he still failed. This was due to a little girl who appeared from nowhere, using the High-Level Dragon Pact; she carried the aura of divinity.
A deity that should have already fallen!
Soren.
This name, which felt a bit familiar, inherited the divine office of a fallen deity and appeared at the most critical moment, shattering all its plans.
But it would not give up!
Even if the opponent were a deity, it would absolutely not surrender.
Because it was already fighting a desperate battle. This was the war that would determine the future fate of the Half-Orcs; it would not be deterred by the loss of a single battle. When it regrouped, it would come back, and Leaffall City must be occupied.
Otherwise, all sacrifices would be in vain!
………………
The dragons gazed at the scattering enemies.
Ultimately, they turned their gaze towards the white figure on the city wall. The Ancient Brass Dragon seemed to frown, sensing that the divine power was dissipating.
This was not the deity’s true form, merely a descending elect.
However, it did not feel anger.
Because no one dared to owe dragons their wages, not even deities!
Three massive figures flew over the walls of Leaffall City. Many Half-Elven soldiers trembled involuntarily as the Ancient Brass Dragon flew directly towards the most magnificent structure in Leaffall City. Using its innate intuition for gold, it swept through the city’s treasury, smashing open the doors. The three colossal figures entered the treasury, ignoring everyone present, and in a storm-like manner, plundered it, taking all its gold and jewels.
Dragons are not foolish.
Since the contract summoned them to relieve the city’s siege, then this city naturally had the responsibility to pay its dues.
Dragons do not need anyone’s consent to claim their wages!
The Ancient Brass Dragon directly took everything it desired, and feeling unsatisfied, it turned its gaze toward the now entirely decorative Arcane Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon on the tower.
It liked this silvery cannon!
The dragon’s keen intuition for wealth told it that it was infused with a significant amount of mithril.
Thus, it bit down and snapped the cannon barrel, and then, with its spoils, flew toward the rift in the sky. This deity that summoned it seemed somewhat interesting; this haul was worth more than what it had gathered over a hundred years.
Ultimately.
The three Brass Dragons departed, leaving the treasury of Leaffall City empty enough to run a horse through.
Since it was taking its own reward, it obviously could take as much as it wanted!
The chaotic good faction of the Brass Dragons didn’t care about all that; since they had saved the city, they naturally believed they could take as much as they wanted.
