Chapter 44: [True God] – Soren!
What is the most important thing in the Investiture of the Gods?
Is it advancing oneself into a divine form? Learning how to convert the Divine Power of Faith into Divine Power? Mastering how to bestow Divine Techniques upon believers? Or perhaps opening a realm that belongs to the deities?
No, no, no!
The most important aspect of the Investiture is entering the legendary – [Pantheon]!
Raise the divine throne high! Ascend into the heavens!
The part of Soren’s soul transforms directly into a pure energy form of a divine avatar, rising toward the horizon amidst the prayers of thousands of believers, like a bright star gradually ascending! Time and space are no longer distances; the soul crosses the boundaries of the material plane, like passing through a solid crystal wall, standing in the glittering void of the galaxy.
But that is not the key point. A sacred door opens before Soren.
Holy radiance emerges.
The figures of angels appear before Him, one black and one white, stepping out from the void, the Holy Angels and the Evil Fallen Angels.
They are the oldest batch of angels!
They are also the strongest divine creations that survived through the long river of time; they no longer involve themselves with anything else in the universe. Their only task now is to guard the [Pantheon]!
To welcome the emergence of new deities.
The two ancient angels remain silent, watching Soren with their eyes, then slightly bowing in respect towards a True God, and immediately tearing through the void to open a great door.
It is an incredibly magnificent temple that cannot be described with words!
It is the core of the multiverse.
A place more mysterious than the legendary ‘City of Imprints,’ for only deities have the qualifications to step here throughout history.
This is the core of the rules of the entire multiverse!
Soren nods slightly and steps through the door before him. As He enters the Pantheon, countless pieces of knowledge that divine beings should master flood into His mind — the power inscribed by the oldest laws. No one knows when the Pantheon came into existence. However, among the knowledge held by the deities, the [Pantheon] has existed since the birth of the oldest gods. Just like the ancient memories of the Obsidian Demons, they awakened from chaos and descended into the current multiverse.
The Pantheon is very quiet.
It is an immense space, with everything in sight covered by a shimmering screen. This is a veil that even the divine vision cannot penetrate.
One by one, divine thrones are placed within the Pantheon.
In Soren’s view, many figures can be seen; they sit quietly in place, showing no attention to His arrival.
These are avatars of deities.
They are also parts of their souls; any True God will send a portion of their soul into the Pantheon. As long as they have not completely perished, their divine thrones will be retained in the Pantheon. Few ancient divine beings will pay attention to a newly born god who only possesses [Weak Divine Power]; they remain on their thrones, resisting the impending cataclysm.

Elven Pantheon.

The distribution of the entire Pantheon seems to follow a pattern that He does not know. Through some feelings that guide Him, Soren finds his position in an instant.
At the very back, between the human deity and the elven pantheon.
Close to the left corner of the Pantheon, there is a throne belonging to Soren, imprinted with His emblem, also displaying the Divine Power He possesses.

One of the weakest divine beings in the entire Pantheon!
There are no divine systems, and as a Half-Elf, He is the only divine being of this race, with no clear allies because only after becoming a deity can formal alliances be established. So Soren has an independent position and an independent space. Even if He is in the corner of the Pantheon, should He choose to join any other deity’s faction, His throne would shift to another space. These separated veils are, in fact, separate spaces, larger than what the eyes can see. The positions of deities are not unchanging; they maintain the normal operation of the entire multiverse. In fact, every thousand years or so, these thrones experience slight fluctuations.
Some deities fall, and others ascend.
But the changes mostly happen in the back of the Pantheon. The positions belonging to the elemental deities, nature deities, and many major deities have not changed for a long time.

It was when the throne of the Spider Queen directly appeared at the front of the Pantheon; her throne was moved to the row of major deities, and whether by intention or by accident, sitting across from her was her former husband, the ruler of the elven pantheon, the [Lord of Elves].
This couple truly has a tragic destiny!
Soren takes his seat on his divine throne. In an instant, the surrounding space begins to expand, transforming into a not-so-small demiplane.
Inside, it is empty.
Because Soren has no allies and does not belong to any divine system.
Faintly, Soren feels three gazes upon Him; they express goodwill toward Him, coming from the Ocean Goddess, Lady Wealth, and the Goddess of Misfortune.
These three deities witnessed His investiture!
Naturally, they also noticed Him the moment He entered the Pantheon. If it were any other time, perhaps the emergence of a new god would attract the attention of many deities. But now, with the forthcoming cataclysm, few deities would shift their focus to such small matters.
Soren settles in!
A veil rises around Him, and a half-real, half-illusory divine figure appears above Soren’s seat, indistinguishable from the other deities seated on their thrones.
The power of the laws surges into His body!
In a mystical way, Soren seems to comprehend some power belonging to the laws of the universe, but He seems unable to fully understand it yet.

When Soren’s soul resided in the [Pantheon], all the priests felt a trace of resonance in their hearts, as they suddenly regained access to Divine Techniques. Although it was merely a restoration to the Third Tier of Divine Techniques, it held special significance for them! My Lord Soren has just completed the investiture; the Divine Power He has accumulated is not yet vast, but as long as He gets through this period, My Lord Soren will be able to bestow higher-tier Divine Techniques.
Their power is being restored!
Soren slowly opens His eyes; the stars representing the Half-Elf Divine Kingdom dim again. At this moment, as the cataclysm is about to break out, Soren cannot and does not have the ability to return to the divine kingdom. However, He establishes a faint connection with this divine kingdom, as it represents the divine kingdom produced by the [Half-Elf] divine profession.
Although it is already very weak, almost on the verge of collapse, it still retains some of its foundation!
The divine kingdom has given back quite a bit of Divine Power to Soren.
Otherwise, raising His divine throne to the heavens would not be as easy as it is now.

The figure of the Goddess of Misfortune gradually disappears into the sky, leaving only a faint laughter. Lady Wealth looks at Soren, nodding slightly, then transforms into golden radiance and disperses. The only one still remaining in the sky is the Ocean Goddess!
This evil goddess lightly smiles at Soren, then raises her trident and gestures toward the Ocean Temple. The immense Divine Power accumulated since the establishment of Modo Harbor operates wildly, even drawing strength from certain places in the sea.
She looks down at everything before her and proclaims in a dignified voice, “This city will receive three years of bountiful catch!”
Divine Oracle!
Holy word!
A divine voice filled with holiness echoes over Modo City, and finally, a tremendous explosion of Divine Power occurs. Even the surrounding space trembles, resonating deep into the ocean.
The figure of the Ocean Goddess slowly disappears!
Soren remains suspended in mid-air, slightly bowing to the position she vanished from, expressing his respect and gratitude!
This is the goodwill of the deities.
The Ocean Goddess is expressing her goodwill. She tells Soren that she is more generous than the other two goddesses and more willing to collaborate with him.
Perhaps it is because Soren has expanded her faith, or maybe it is because Soren has dominion over pirates.
Or perhaps they both belong to the Evil Faction!
The thoughts of deities are difficult to guess, but her actions are worthy of respect and gratitude.

Soren’s figure slowly descends.
The investiture ceremony has one final step remaining; the figure of the High Priest appears before the divine statue. She kneels down humbly before Soren, expressing her respect and affection. Soren gently places His hand on her head, and then a powerful surge of Divine Power erupts. He then takes out a scepter, symbolizing the highest authority of the Half-Elf Church, continuously infusing the Divine Power He possesses into it, ultimately handing it over to the High Priestess.
Divine right of kings!
From now on, the High Priestess will be the highest ruler of the Half-Elf Church!
As a deity, Soren will gradually operate behind the scenes, delegating many matters to His representatives in the mortal realm, for that constitutes the unspoken rules of the deities.
Soren’s figure gradually disappears!
The divine statue is engulfed in sacred light, as if He is watching over everything before Him.
In front of the temple.
The High Priestess walks out with a solemn expression, raising the scepter high, and pronounces, “The glory of our Lord will be spread by us!”
“Glory be to our Lord!”
“And we shall obtain rebirth in the sacred kingdom!”
A tremendous cheer echoes through the heavens and the earth!
To celebrate My Lord Soren’s investiture, Modo City will hold a joyous celebration lasting seven days, and this city will also have its first festival.
