Chapter Five: Son of Hell
Lava Tavern.
In the evening, he saw that mysterious Construct Girl again, but her appearance had changed greatly this time; it seemed she had used a high-level transformation spell, making her look like a half-breed succubus. She directly sat in front of Soren, ordered a drink without hesitation, and after finishing it, returned to her room. Despite frequently losing her memory and acting a bit erratic, she was not foolish; in fact, she was quite clever, possessing astonishing intuition and judgment.
After all, her brain structure might be similar to that of Tower Spirit 13!
Her calculation ability was incredible.
The d*ath gladiators of Gurenba Arena offered Soren a good opportunity for enhancement; it was not as dangerous as the Abyssal bl**d War, where he frequently faced large groups of enemies. The combatants in the arena were mainly mid to high-level demons, providing more abundant power than regular demons, with many being elite-level opponents. The three enemies he defeated today had subtly brought him closer to a breakthrough; if he won tomorrow, he could potentially raise his biological level and possibly comprehend new spell-like abilities.
Soren sat quietly, drinking.
Demons had unique physiques that made drinking for them feel similar to drinking water; the Flame Demon’s traits were even more pronounced—when the drink hit his mouth, it was like fire, and by the time it entered his body, it was basically gone.
He could drink a thousand cups without getting drunk.
Or rather, even magical drinks had little effect on Soren.
At this moment, his attention had already shifted elsewhere. On the first layer of the Bottomless Abyss, Soren’s main body had completed the teleportation marker; this time, the route was to “Broken Realm Town.”
Still no half-plane.
If he could capture the Chess Half-Plane, Soren could directly establish a teleportation marker to the lower plane from there.
The Material Plane had crystalline barriers, while half-planes were directly supported in the Astral Realm. Legendary Wizards relied on the power of half-planes for plane travel, as it reduced their own consumption. Additionally, they could always teleport back.
Bottomless Abyss, First Layer, Ten Thousand Abyss Plains, Broken Realm Town.
A thin figure cloaked in a hood appeared, drawing no attention from any demons; people regarded him as a plane traveler or a plane mercenary from another space. Only the most reckless mercenaries would go to the main battlefield of the Abyssal bl**d War, and such individuals were often hard to provoke, so even demons knew to behave here.
Broken Realm Town had passages connecting to other planes.
From here, one could follow the River of Underworld directly to the second layer of the Bottomless Abyss. Soren’s main body would take about two days to reach the third layer, “Land of Forgotten.”
According to the progress at Gurenba Arena, Soren would soon advance to become a Flame Demon.
To avoid attracting the attention of the Demon Lord, Soren disguised himself as a half-breed Hellspawn. The hood completely concealed his appearance, and no one was bored enough to care about what he looked like.
Soren concealed his deity-level power while exuding the aura of a Legendary Professionist.
This could help avoid a lot of trouble.
Heading south from Broken Realm Town, there was a tributary of the River of Underworld, a territory run by the Rosé. For a price, these part-time “River Ferrymen” would take him to other planes.
The Rosé had a complicated relationship with the God of d*ath.
These neutral evil spirits had taken over part of the River of Underworld trade, yet the ferrymen on the main thoroughfare were mostly high-level undead.
Servants of the God of d*ath.
Even in the Bottomless Abyss and Hell of Bartok, not many dared to provoke them.
Clink, clink.
Soren tossed a bag of disaster coins to the fearsome-looking Rosé in front of him. He then sat quietly in the corner of the River Underworld’s boat, next to a Soul Judge Demon. Such high-level demons rarely traveled this way. The Rosé would maintain their reputation; the evil beings who managed to become “River Ferrymen” were mostly high-level entities, and they did not allow conflicts to occur in their territory, or they would dump the offenders into the River of Underworld.
An image of a high-level succubus appeared.
Soren shifted slightly, sensing something was off, but he remained still.
He felt he was caught up in certain events; everything before him should not be targeted at him. When the River Underworld boat set off, the last passenger also appeared, and upon seeing this passenger, Soren finally understood why everything was happening.
—Son of Hell!
In simple terms, they were a group of people “living in darkness, yearning for light.”
A group yearning for redemption.
Born in the evil lower plane, they aspired to gain redemption and return to the light, but their fates were often tragic!
The upper planes would not accept them, while the lower planes saw them as traitors.
Sons of Hell rarely survived.
The vast majority fell back into darkness or died terribly; some luckier ones turned neutral, ultimately leading difficult lives that were neither good nor bad.
Of a hundred awakened Sons of Hell, only about one could survive!

In the Frozen Kingdom, Arendelle.
The splendid palace was brightly lit, and the figure of the Crown Princess appeared on the balcony. She wore a flowing blue gown that accentuated her tall and enticing figure.
Near the harbour, many people had gathered.
Today, Arendelle welcomed a guest, a prince from another country, His Highness the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom.
He had come to Arendelle.
And had prepared a large number of gifts; in addition to wanting to establish good relations with the Kingdom of Arendelle, as the second heir of the Hawk Kingdom, he intended to propose to Princess Anna.
At this moment, the palace officials were busy preparing for the prince’s arrival.
His status was not high enough for Her Majesty the Crown Princess to personally welcome him; ideally, under such circumstances, Princess Anna should have met him, given his noble status. However, when she heard his intention, Princess Anna directly claimed to feel unwell and declined, leaving the welcoming arrangements to the palace officials.
Princess Anna was about to come of age.
As an adult princess, especially the heir to Arendelle, she would inevitably face countless suitors.
The j*rk she cared about didn’t dare come to marry her, and now she could only helplessly face all of this.
At the side of the palace.
Princess Anna looked through the window at the crowd at the harbour; His Highness the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom was handsome and charming, having received much welcome upon his arrival.
However, she did not like him; what troubled her now was how to refuse all of this!
