Chapter Ten: High-Level Demon!
In the Bottomless Abyss, the third layer, Land of Forgotten.
The Gurenba Arena suddenly fell silent, with only a cruel smile appearing on the face of the Demon Goblin Sorcerer.
As maintainers of the demon arena, they sometimes encounter troublesome beings that could affect the secretly arranged bets and even provoke a challenge to the order of the arena. In such cases, the Demon Goblin Sorcerers choose to engage in backstabbing; most of the d*ath Arenas are secretly manipulated by them, with the final winners often chosen by them. This is because there is a rule in d*ath Arenas that allows creatures from other planes to appear.
These creatures might be summoned and leave after just one battle.
If a challenger defeats a creature from another plane, they can naturally continue to challenge further. However, if they accidentally d*e, the winner must be selected from other candidates.
A Spell Light appeared!
A portal opened before Soren, followed by a crack in space, and a figure of a high-level demon appeared before him.

When the Horned Demon, standing over 3 meters tall and weighing over 600 lbs, emerged, the entire Gurenba Arena fell silent. The fear aura of the high-level demon instantly enveloped the surroundings, making many demons feel uncomfortable and angry. If it weren’t for the constraints of the arena’s rules, someone would have probably roared and rushed down to tear it apart. Demons can also appear in the Gurenba Arena; the Demon Goblin Sorcerers seem to always find a way to sign the “River of Underworld Pact” with demons, allowing them to appear in battles when needed.
In fact, there was even a high-level legend Bartok the Warlock who once appeared in the d*ath Arena challenges!
However, the Goblins also have their own contractual obligations to ensure that these demons are not besieged by other demons in the arena; they can d*e in the arena’s duel but must pay the price if they d*e under the siege of demons. For the arena in the Bottomless Abyss, the absence of demon gladiators means losing the most attractive element.

Such a contestant naturally required being arranged a high-difficulty opponent; dying in such a challenge would be best, reducing the variables for later. If he doesn’t d*e, that’s fine; they would always find a way to ensure the greatest profit for themselves. Moreover, the challengers in the d*ath Arena ultimately include these legendary-level Demon Goblin Sorcerers.
If needed, they could even step into the arena themselves!
Horned Demons are also known as “Korna,” a breed of high-level demons with inherent flying abilities. Horned Demons are brave warriors. They rarely retreat, even when facing strong enemies. They prefer to battle with their spiked chains, usually targeting the strongest enemies to intimidate, then quickly taking them down. There are two branches of Korna: one has a pair of wings, while the other does not. However, those with wings possess a spell-like ability called “Flight.”
The Horned Demon Soren faced was the winged sort, which would be more difficult to deal with; to some extent, it was an enemy designed to counter his Demon Wings.
However!
If he could take it down, Soren could almost guarantee a significant enhancement for himself.
“Fire Demon?”
The Horned Demon let out a strange laugh and said in a bizarre abyssal language, “You are indeed an interesting fire demon! Much more entertaining than those other foolish demons! Now let me see if your soul is delicious!”
Demons underestimate other demons.
Since the advantages of the Abyssal bl**d War tilted towards the demons, their contempt for demons has become increasingly apparent.
The Gurenba Arena boiled over.
The Horned Demon’s contemptuous tone undoubtedly angered many demons, including some high-level demons who showed dissatisfaction. If it weren’t for the rules set forth by Demon Lord Miamid – Coin of Disaster, they might have already charged down to tear this Horned Demon apart.
The authority of the Demon Lord must not be offended, or one would have to pay a heavy price!
“Hehe.”
Soren chuckled lightly, slowly saying, “I’m also very curious if your soul power is pure enough!”
Flames ignited.
Soren’s body was instantly enveloped in fierce fire, and with a wave of his hand, a Flame Whip appeared in his palm. The Horned Demon’s innate strength exceeds 30 points, putting him under significant pressure. Its agility and constitution are above 25 points, still maintaining an advantage. However, Soren, in his Fire Demon form, is immune to fire damage, rendering the Horned Demon’s instantaneous “Fireball Spell” ineffective. From a combat skill perspective, Soren is confidently aware that demons have spent too much time plotting conspiracy and schemes, allowing their impressive base attributes to overshadow their practice of finesse.
Skills honed in army training may not be as effective in one-on-one combat!
—”Counter Chaos!”
A Spell Light appeared, instantly landing on Soren.
This is the Korna’s innate ability “Counter Chaos,” a power that can be freely cast, having the effect equivalent to an edict intimidation spell. As a type of high-level demon, Korna likes to first cast “Counter Chaos” on demons to temporarily reduce their combat ability and overall reaction capabilities.
Ineffective!
The spell-like ability had no effect whatsoever.
Soren was not affected at all and directly swung the Flame Whip at it.
What a joke!
His faction is “Lawful Evil,” and the Korna’s “Counter Chaos” could simply be ignored by him. Most of the counter capabilities of high-level demons are utterly useless against him.
“Eh?”
A hint of surprise finally appeared on the face of the Korna. Its casting ability of “Counter Chaos” is close to that of high-level spellcasters; the opponent being able to directly immunize it implies they are either extraordinarily powerful or belong to a non-chaotic faction. The likelihood of the former is very low, so the reason must be the latter; this demon before him surprisingly does not belong to the chaotic faction.
—”Fear Aura!”
A chilling aura spread, but Soren remained completely unaffected, sneering mockingly as he raised the Flame Whip again.
Still ineffective!
This demon before him seemed beyond ordinary logic; its innate abilities were all ineffective.
