Chapter Eleven: Flame Whip!

Invalid.
Still invalid.
Korna has used nearly half of its talent-based spell abilities, but without exception, they were all ignored by Soren.
Now, all that remains of its abilities are the innate “Intimidation” attack and the unique “Purgatory Wound” from its tail’s stinger. The former triggers a mandatory toughness check upon hitting an enemy, while the latter inflicts lingering damage that prevents the enemy from healing through conventional means. However, what frustrates Korna is that the opponent seems to be very aware of its abilities and combat style, constantly keeping a careful distance to avoid entering the tail’s range.
What a joke!
Soren’s strength attribute is completely suppressed by the opponent; how could he be foolish enough to close the distance for combat?
In terms of strength, the high-level devil clearly has an advantage, but aside from the gap in strength, the differences in other attributes are not that significant. After all, Soren is currently also in the “Elite Form” of the Fire Demon.
Once he advances to become a Flame Demon, he will be among the ranks of high-level demons!
Mobility.
Since he can’t gain an advantage in attributes, Soren can only focus on mobility.
Korna is immune to fire damage, effectively neutralizing Soren’s trump card. However, he has his own advantages, such as controlling a demon avatar with the will of a deity, making it easy to unleash combat power exceeding one hundred percent. More importantly, Soren has inherited the fear power of the original deity, and while he can’t be certain it will affect the horned demon in front of him, there is still about a fifty percent chance of success. If he can successfully influence the opponent, the outcome of the battle is hard to predict.

Faced with Soren’s incredibly annoying harassment tactics, Korna finally grew impatient.
It began to launch a fierce offensive, trying to corner Soren using its size and strength advantage. The opponent seemed to be overly slippery, completely different from the demons it remembered. Demons it had encountered in the past would rush straight at it, and even the stronger demons could be beaten down. But this demon before it was playing with Korna. It maintained a safe distance at all times. Chaos did not impair its reason; the demon in front of it was cooler than a devil while fighting.
Roar!
An angry roar erupted as Korna suddenly accelerated and charged.
With its strength suppression combined with a fierce attack, it was confident it could severely injure its enemy with one strike!
Boom.
The ground was pierced by chains, but Soren effortlessly dodged and then swung his Executioner sword with force.
Clang, clang!
Soren was knocked back, bl**d trickling from the corner of his mouth. However, Korna’s expression was also grim, with a shocking wound now slowly healing on its shoulder.
Regeneration ability!
As a high-level devil, Korna possesses regeneration capabilities that surpass Soren’s.
Exchanging injuries is not worth it.
Soren quickly realized this; the opponent’s regeneration ability is greater than his own. If they exchanged injuries, he would ultimately be the one to collapse.
Distance was reopened.
The demons surrounding the Gurenba Arena held their breath. Even a fool could see that the horned demon had a clear advantage; it was stronger than Soren, so that even the “Executioner” – Soren, didn’t dare to engage in a direct confrontation. The demons rallied against the devils. Only the goblin demon sorcerer had a sly smile on its face.
It seemed to have already guessed the final outcome!
Soren began to retreat, though he occasionally counterattacked using his formidable skills. Yet, the scales of victory appeared to tilt toward the devil.
Injuries mounted progressively.
Even though many high-level demons were amazed at Soren’s extreme display of power, they increasingly realized he couldn’t hold out much longer.
Clearly, the high-level devil before him was aware of this.
“Cackle!”
The horned demon let out an ear-piercing cackle and charged again, accelerating towards Soren. It suddenly swung out its chain and said, “d*e!”
Clang.
Soren’s figure was sent flying.
It seemed the injuries were close to becoming the last straw that would break him, and Korna pressed its advantage, wanting to finish off its enemy in one go.
But at that moment!
Soren suddenly stood up and charged toward the high-level devil before him.
——“Bind!”
He swung the Flame Whip in an instant, easily striking the target and entangling its body. However, with Korna’s immense strength, the Flame Whip couldn’t restrain it, and it could easily break free.
Whoosh!
All the demons in the Gurenba Arena stood up, nervously looking towards the center of the battlefield, wanting to see if the “Executioner” – Soren’s counterattack was a dying struggle or a trump card for a reversal.
As demons, they still hoped for Soren’s victory!
In less than half a second’s time.
The Flame Whip’s “Bind” could not restrain the Korna before him.
But that half second was enough for Soren. He had always feigned weakness, waiting for the right moment to counterattack while consuming a portion of the enemy’s power through skill.
——“Gaze of Fear!”
——“Fear Aura!”
Incredible fear power erupted, and in an instant, a violent collision occurred around both bodies.
The devil’s aura of fear.
Soren’s aura of fear.
One was the innate ability of mid to high-level devils, the other stemmed from fear divinity.
The result was instantaneous!
Korna’s body suddenly stiffened at that moment. Soren seemed to suddenly transform into a terrifying demon god before it, overwhelming it with a sense of oppressive dread akin to facing a demon lord. Its body involuntarily became momentarily rigid, and it could not comprehend why the enemy before it suddenly evoked such a god-like fear.
Eyes!
Terrifying eyes!
For a fleeting moment, it even doubted whether it was facing a deity!
Clang!
The scorching sword light emerged.
Soren launched his beheading attack the instant their figures crossed paths, almost squeezing out the last of his potential, using all his strength for an irreversible strike.
With twelve points of power.
Leaving no retreat, if this strike could not k*ll the Korna before him, it would surely be his end.
Thud!
A headless corpse fell to the ground, and Soren’s flames suddenly erupted as if exploding. The Flame Whip, which had been broken by Korna, suddenly reassembled, surrounded by strange searing flames, its length exceeding ten meters.
——“Flame Whip!”
The signature ability of Balroth Fire Demon, Soren’s ability had advanced!
