Chapter Fourteen: The Catfight!
Outside the magnificent noble estate.
A young man cautiously stepped out, scanning his surroundings before vanishing into the shadows.
He was an advanced Wanderer.
Perhaps not very strong, but he could easily handle a few noble guards.
The young man made his way outside, where three grim-faced men were already waiting for him. The image of pirates was generally unimpressive, so the ones left by Adele Isabella as attendants were mostly selected to appear somewhat normal. While those in the open had to maintain a decent image, those operating in the shadows had fewer concerns. Before him were three old pirates, one of whom had even participated in the battle against the Swamp King.
“How’s the plan going?”
The young man glanced at the others present and said in a low voice, “The task assigned by the Executioner cannot go wrong.”
A middle-aged man with a missing segment of his left ear, seemingly bitten off by something, nodded and replied, “The bandits in the area have all been incorporated into our ranks. They have no idea about our identities and haven’t alerted other forces.”
Some insignificant bandits hiding in the wilderness were not of much concern.
“Very good.”
A chill flashed in the young man’s eyes as he whispered, “It’s about time that annoying noble meets his end!”
“Next,”
“is the operation for the inheritance of the territory. Lord Adele must become the first heir to the Wind Spear territory.”
The three men present exchanged glances and responded, “Understood.”
The territory of the Southern Duchy.
Even idiots would know that Lord Soren was preparing to target the kingdoms near the Southern Coast; this would be crucial for their forces to break through the coastal blockade and delve into the Southern Duchy. The ‘Modo Threat Theory’ was gradually fermenting; their mission had to speed up. Before other nobles noticed, everything must become a settled fact, at which point it would be difficult to obstruct them, unless someone dared to face Modo in open battle!
………………
In the northern seas.
A large warship slowly approached Arendelle, flanked by two medium-sized escort ships, manned entirely by navy sailors. The emblem of thornflower adorned their chests.
“Teacher.”
A young, refined-looking nobleman stepped onto the deck, exuding an air of scholarship more than that of a noble. In front of him stood an elderly wizard who didn’t display the spell rings indicating his power level, but one could feel he was a high-level wizard.
The nobleman approached and slightly bowed, saying, “Are we truly going to Arendelle?”
“I think it will be very difficult for us to accomplish the task assigned by Father. The strength of the First Princess of Arendelle is unfathomable, and Princess Anna has an unclear connection with that legendary Pirate King. Acting so rashly may not be a good idea.”
“What if we anger that Pirate King? I’m concerned…”
The elderly wizard chuckled lightly and slowly shook his head, saying, “Roca, you still haven’t grasped the key to the matter! Our trip to Arendelle doesn’t necessarily mean you need to compete with the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom to win Princess Anna’s hand.”
“In fact,”
“Our most important task is not to find a way to marry Princess Anna, but to make it impossible for the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom to marry her.”
“You are right.”
“That Pirate King truly cannot be offended lightly. But if we can sabotage the Second Prince’s courtship, it’s not impossible to win his favor.”
“Your intent this time is to ensure the other party fails, and it doesn’t matter if we use a few unscrupulous means.”
“I’ve heard that the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom has a chaotic private life, and there are some unclear rumors regarding his father’s secret lover. What you need to do now is to seize this opportunity. Completely wreck his image in the eyes of the First Princess and Princess Anna.”
“As for the courtship, that’s just a formality.”
“The Duke of Thornflower also understands that our distance from Arendelle makes it difficult for the First Princess to choose us.”
We are here to create chaos.
For this, it doesn’t matter if the means are a bit underhanded. We came to clash with the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom, thus diminishing his image in the eyes of the two princesses of Arendelle.
The elderly wizard’s eyes were filled with a different kind of wisdom, clearly conveying everything the young nobleman needed to do.
Ruining the image of the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom would definitely be easier than winning Princess Anna’s heart.
The young nobleman nodded, but felt slightly uneasy, as he sensed that the Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom was not easy to deal with and might not be willing to see him arriving in Arendelle.
………………
On Fury Sand Island in the Southern Coast.
The Half-Elf First Mate furrowed his brow as he held the information, muttering, “The Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom, huh?”
“Truly courting d*ath!!!”
Bang.
He slammed the information onto the table, then said in a serious tone, “Someone! Prepare the warships! It seems we have to teach the Hawk Kingdom a small lesson.”
How dare he propose to Princess Anna of Arendelle.
This news had not reached Soren yet, but it had already caused a huge stir among the pirate leaders. To them, such an act was a provocation, as Princess Anna was undoubtedly considered Soren’s.
The relationship between Modo City and Arendelle had been growing closer, and maintaining this relationship hinged crucially on Soren’s private connection with Princess Anna. No matter how the outside world viewed it, regardless of the truth, these pirate leaders firmly believed that the two were extremely close.
Arendelle was Modo City’s closest ally!
Interests.
The pirate leaders valued their own interests and also the interests of Modo City; if Princess Anna really married someone from the outside, and that damned Second Prince of the Hawk Kingdom succeeded in his courtship, then Modo City’s relationship with Arendelle would gradually begin to distance. This would affect all the shared interests of the pirate leaders, and Modo City would lose an important ally.
Such a situation was absolutely intolerable for the ambitious Half-Elf First Mate!
Therefore.
Upon receiving this news, he immediately decided to take action himself, as they must give the other party a taste of their power.
Modo City, Northern Tower, Arendelle.
The triangular alliance of these three must not be destroyed by any external factors; the continental region was already chaotic, and the order in the coastal area relied completely on their three forces to maintain.
In royal garments!
There are indeed some matters that, even if Soren does not know, the pirate leaders beneath him will actively safeguard Modo City’s interests.
Princess Anna absolutely cannot marry outside!
Anyone daring to propose to Princess Anna with the intention of disrupting this alliance will be viewed as an enemy by these pirate leaders.
