Chapter 48: Diamond Golem!
Modo City, Chess Dimension.
Now, on the first layer of this dimension, there has been a sizable laboratory established, next to which is the original Golem Factory. However, due to a lack of raw materials, this operation has been temporarily closed. The most troublesome aspect of making golems is not the basic materials, but the Soul Crystals that serve as the core of their operation. This item is difficult to come by in the Material Plane. The drop rate from monsters is appallingly low; only ethereal monsters wandering the Material Plane might drop natural Soul Crystals.
It’s just like those ghosts that Soren first took down in Amber City; they dropped a gray, mixed Soul Crystal.
Normally, obtaining a Soul Crystal requires advanced spells or purchasing from other planes. The items on the Soul level are the most complex; although “Soul Extraction Technique” is only an 8th-level spell or higher, few wizards can master it, and even fewer can successfully cast it. Otherwise, the God of d*ath would have been furious long ago, as spellcasters would easily be able to snatch large amounts of souls from them as long as they mastered the soul-binding spells.
Currently, the making of golems in Modo City is not short on stone, gemstones, or activation spells, but it lacks Soul Crystals of various levels.

As the crystal energy transmission pipes emitted strange glows, a sudden strong wave of magical energy surged from within the laboratory, followed by the excited voice of the Fallen Witch saying, “It worked!”

They are top-tier war machines; even without any modifications, an ordinary Diamond Golem can reach a Challenge Level of 16 or higher.
In simple terms, a Diamond Golem can at least take down a six-armed Serpent Demon in mutual destruction!
“Let me see.”
Gloria picked up the weighty diamond. After gently touching it, she said, “Mother! Now that this research has succeeded, what do you plan to do next?”
The Fallen Witch looked at her happily and slowly said, “Continue to increase the transmutation rate of alchemy.”
“We need some Diamond Golems.”
“If we could manufacture a few Diamond Golems, we might have the ability to open the gates of the Wizard Tower from the front.”
The Fallen Witch was naturally referring to the Wizard Tower on the Shadow Plane.

The Diamond Golem’s damage against enemies below high tier is overwhelming; there’s no need to elaborate much; just looking at its terrifying resistance shows that.
It could be said without hesitation that a single Diamond Golem could take on a small-scale army under Soren’s command.
The Diamond Golem must be produced.
Now that the conditions for a surge of troops are established, and such advanced units at that, Soren can’t help but be tempted.
Creating the Soul Crystals might be a hassle for him, but it’s not that difficult for his Demon Avatar, as one of the Flame Demon’s innate abilities is “Soul Extraction Technique.”
As long as he defeats a quasi-legendary demon and uses the Soul Extraction Technique to extract soul energy, he could create high-level Soul Crystals.
If he has Diamond Golems leading the charge, Soren might really be able to breach the gates of the Wizard Tower.
