Chapter 83: The Elven Dexterity and the God of Thieves
Three figures vanished into the dense forest.
In fact, there were still traces of blood left by the Predators on the ground. “How are the casualties?”
The Elven Captain allowed his companions to bandage his wound, and then grimaced, “How many did we lose?”
An older Ranger walked over, his expression grave, “Seven are dead, and six are injured.”
“We took down three Predators.”
“We found these on their bodies; they seem to be some sort of special tokens.”
Damn!
The Elven Captain angrily punched the tree again. If that human Hunter hadn’t shown up, they could have wiped out the Predators completely; even if there were some casualties, that would have been acceptable. But now, two had actually escaped, and their own casualties were so serious, making him feel distressed with hatred, anger, and guilt.
“What about that elf?”
“Unknown. Maybe he got away during the fight?”
“Captain, do you think this could be a trap?”
“It shouldn’t be.”
“That elf didn’t lie. Even if it were a trap, there couldn’t be only one enemy supporting them. Did you find any footprints he left?”
“Yes. He went south.”
“South?”
“Isn’t that the direction the Predators fled? He wouldn’t have chased after them alone, right?”
“Unknown.”
“Captain! What now?”
“Send the message and the tokens back. These Predators have been getting bolder lately. I’m preparing to write a letter asking the Elven Royal Court to send Rangers to support us!”
“Is it the Windriders?” (in a slightly excited tone)
“Not sure!”
“Clean up the battlefield! Return and strengthen the defenses! We can’t let these Predators wreak havoc in our territory any longer.”

The Elven Patrol quickly left the area.
However, about half an hour later, a lithe figure appeared nearby. It was a high-ranking Wanderer, unmistakably an elf in appearance. One noteworthy detail was a rare emblem worn on his chest, resembling a meteor with a long tail; it was a badge not often seen in human realms, as it represented the Elven Dexterity and the God of Thieves – Eryfin Illashir.
Through long epochs of evolution, divine powers had been distributed many times.
Especially with many deities overlapping in domain powers, some gods had come to master the same or similar divine powers.
The Elven Dexterity and the God of Thieves – Eryfin Illashir is a deity of Medium Divine Power, belonging to the Elven Pantheon. There isn’t much information available about him, but he is often referred to as the ‘Mischievous Jester’, and he corely embodies the divine professions of Thievery and Mischief, with domains including Chaos, Elves, Luck, and Trickery.
This is a racial deity.
His faith is limited to the elf race and is mostly spread among Bards and Thieves. Therefore, the outside world knows little about him.
At this moment, the elven Wanderer walked around the battlefield, then left a mark before heading in another direction.
Due to the deity of his faith embodying the domain of Luck.
It is said that the followers of the Elven Dexterity and the God of Thieves – Eryfin Illashir enjoy the favor of luck; very few outside species worship him. However, he still has considerable influence within the elven community, and those favored by this deity can gain an additional luck bonus.
“Those annoying Predators!”
About half an hour later, another elven figure appeared here. She appeared unremarkable, but upon seeing the marks left on the ground, this female elf shook her head in dissatisfaction. She murmured, “We can’t let them interfere with the Queen’s plans! We must have the Matron strike at these guys, or we won’t be able to ascertain the movements of Eryfin Illashir.”

This was not a true surface elf.
She was a Drow disguised as a surface elf. The Spider Queen’s conspiratorial web had already begun to weave, and the god pantheon the Spider Queen – Lolth hates the most is undoubtedly the Elven Pantheon that once exiled her. The members of the Elven Pantheon are numerous, and even the Spider Queen would not dare to rashly declare war, so she targeted the relatively weaker deities among them.
The Elven Dexterity and the God of Thieves – Eryfin Illashir reached Medium Divine Power at his peak but fell back to Weak Divine Power after the domain of Shadows was passed to others.
Yet, relying on the domains of Luck, Trickery, and Thievery, this deity still remains a backbone of the Elven Pantheon.
The Spider Queen has made him a target for a simple reason.
Trickery!
This is one of the core domains of the Spider Queen. Killing this deity can significantly enhance her power, allowing the Spider Queen to further master the formidable domain of Trickery.
Basically, there is a clear feature in the divine struggles.
That is, among many warring deities, either conflicts arise due to opposing divine domains, or they share the same or similar divine professions; identical divine domains are potential rivals. Defeating these rivals not only reduces competition but can also enhance one’s own powers.
The female elf quickly left the area.
