Chapter 114: Strolling the Galaxy

Author: Floating Tower
The bright moon hung high in the sky.
Because he had made a breakthrough in the Wizard Tower in the Shadow Plane, Soren’s mood had relaxed significantly.
If a Wizard Tower could be raised in Modo City, then even if the Saint’s Cataclysm erupted completely, it would be no problem at all for them to protect themselves. The deterrent power of the Wizard Tower was strong, and it possessed god-slaying capabilities, meaning that very few deities would be willing to take such a significant risk to challenge it, even if the chances were not particularly high. Although the Wizard Tower had not yet been fully secured, Soren believed that as long as the situation was broken, progress could be made slowly, and he was confident that capturing it was just a matter of time.
A gentle evening breeze blew in through the window.
Soren felt something in his heart, gently pushed open the door, and walked into the courtyard. He then leaped lightly onto the roof.
Gloria stood on the roof in a long robe. When she sensed Soren’s arrival, she turned around, smiled gently, and then continued to gaze up at the brilliant starry sky, as if lost in thought.
“Spell memory complete?”
Soren walked up beside Gloria, standing side by side with her as they gazed at the tranquil night sky.
Gloria smiled and nodded, softly saying, “Mm.”
The gentle night breeze lifted Gloria’s long hair, and a strand of fragrant hair drifted to Soren’s face. Among the strands, a hint of silver could be seen. Although the Water of Life had healed her hidden wounds, a few strands of silver hair still remained. The price paid for the Northern Witch’s long-time divination seemed not to be simply a loss of lifespan; there appeared to be other unknown costs as well. To glimpse the shadows of the future and fate always required significant sacrifices.
Soren gazed at Gloria’s delicate profile; her expression was calm, like a serene lake that penetrated the heart.
Suddenly, Soren felt a pang of guilt in his heart. He reached out and embraced Gloria. He kissed her hair gently.
“What’s wrong?”
Gloria smiled and held Soren’s hand, seemingly sensing his emotions.
For a long time.
Soren’s time had been spent in a state of tension and busyness. Most of the time, he was accumulating his strength piece by piece to deal with the impending Saint’s Cataclysm. Occasionally, when he had free time, he mostly spent it accompanying Vivian, with only a small portion of his time dedicated to being with Gloria, and even that was primarily used for enjoying leisure moments. The woman before him had never complained about anything; she had silently supported him all along, managing everything in Modo City from behind him.
Suddenly, Soren wanted to do something for her.
“Let’s go.”
Soren wrapped his arms around her slender waist, gazing at Gloria’s beautiful profile, and said in a low voice, “Hold me tight!”
Gloria looked a bit confused but still laughed lightly and embraced Soren, seemingly wanting to know what he planned to do next.
A glow of divinity emerged.
The scenery around them began to plummet rapidly, everything appearing like flowing reflections. In the blink of an eye, Modo City transformed into a small island radiating faint lights, ultimately becoming distant. By the time Gloria recovered from the intense ascent, she and Soren had already found themselves standing in an endless starry sky, with a brilliant galaxy in the distance and countless grains of silver light swirling around them. They drifted throughout the Astral Realm, emitting a soft glow.
Gloria’s beautiful face turned slightly red. As a witch, she could not quickly recover from the recent experience.
A barrier of divine power opened.
After a few light breaths, Gloria finally returned to her usual state, but she seemed to be in a joyful mood, with a look of surprise on her face.
“I haven’t accompanied you for a walk in a long time.”
Soren gently took Gloria’s fair and soft hand. He gazed into her eyes, rarely revealing a hint of tenderness, surrounded by softly glowing grains of sand that drifted around them, separated by a five-meter barrier of divine power. Soren and Gloria strolled hand in hand through the endless starry sky, where countless twinkling stars converged into a galaxy, beautifully and dramatically decorating the endless void.
Gloria smiled gently, her beautiful big eyes narrowing like crescent moons.
The two enjoyed the tranquility of the moment.
Gloria curiously looked around, occasionally throwing affectionate glances at Soren. The void was not a barrier for them; the great power of the deities allowed them to stroll effortlessly in this endless Astral Realm.
“This is my first time coming to the Astral Realm in this way.”
Gloria lightly waved her hand, and the glowing silver Astral sands fell into her palm. She gently raised her hand, and sparkling lights sprinkled around them.
Unknowingly, the witch leaned on Soren’s shoulder and spoke in a very gentle voice, “So beautiful!…”
The Glittering Galaxy.
Standing in the world, gazing at the endless starry sky, one would never feel the shock and brilliance of this moment. Soren embraced the Gloria before him and slowly said, “Every time I stand in the void and gaze at the Astral Realm, I always feel a sense of shock, and a sense of my own insignificance!”
“Even after becoming a deity, this remains the same.”
“The might of the Multiverse cannot be comprehended by even deities; what we see is merely the tip of the iceberg.”
Not far away.
A shooting star streaked by, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Gloria suddenly broke free from Soren’s embrace, playfully jumping a few steps to stand in front of him, joyfully asking, “Do you want to see me dance?”
The barrier of divine power expanded again.
Soren’s expression showed a bit of surprise, then he smiled and nodded.
In all the time he’d known Gloria, Soren had never seen her dance, even though their relationship had become so intimate.
Gloria slowly began to remove her long robe. Her movements were so gentle and graceful that they made one’s heart race. As the black, oversized wizard robe slipped off, a snow-white dress appeared in Soren’s sight, and her exquisite long boots were taken off, revealing her delicate and beautiful toes. Standing in the void with her back to Soren, the distant brilliant galaxy behind her, she raised her white arms gracefully, her fingers dancing gently, making the surrounding Astral sands spin mildly, like a brilliant halo enveloping Gloria.
The witch turned back to smile gently.
With her white arms lifted, the sleeves of her long dress slipped down gradually, and her bejeweled toes lifted up, accompanied by the dancing Astral sands, her slender waist twisted out a charming melody. Soren thought Gloria was dancing the court dance, but to his surprise, the witch began with a challenging move, her slender waist bending at an astonishing arc, revealing an elegant yet alluring curve. Soren recognized this move, as it was similar to the spinning dance of the Eastern Dance Maiden.
The snow-white dress fluttered!
Indeed, Soren didn’t guess wrong; Gloria was dancing the spinning dance of the Eastern Dance Maiden. If not for today’s events, he probably would have never found out that she could perform such an intricate dance.
Under the starry sky.
Her beautiful figure danced like an elf, accompanied by light leaps, and the faintly glowing Astral sands swirled around, then wrapped around Gloria’s arms like halos. Although she had not prepared the colorful ribbons needed for the Eastern Dance Maiden, this was not difficult for a legendary witch; a Mage Hand was enough to accomplish everything, even achieving effects beyond expectations. At this moment, Gloria seemed like a fairy dancing in the heavens, the Astral sands swirling around her beautifully under the embrace of the starry galaxy, as her graceful dance stirred Soren’s soul—this was a captivating dance he had never seen before.
Time seemed to stand still at this moment.
In Soren’s eyes, all that remained was the woman dancing gracefully under the endless starry sky.
“Is it beautiful?”
The soft silver light scattered as Gloria, with a charming smile, walked slowly to Soren. Seeing Soren’s dazed expression made her cover her mouth and giggle, as if delightfully mischievous, rarely revealing a playful demeanor like that of a girl.
Soren nodded vigorously, shaking his head emphatically.
Gloria’s expression seemed quite joyful; it was rare to see her this happy, and the graceful witch approached Soren lightly. Her fair, slender fingers gently glided across his cheek, her beautiful face leaned in and lightly kissed Soren’s lips, a hint of rosy color blossoming, as Gloria’s face appeared somewhat bashful, her breath fragrant as she murmured, “I want you!…”
Soren gathered the witch before him in his arms.
Then, the glow of divine power enveloped them, but it was soon interrupted as Gloria’s breathless voice rang out: “No… no need to go back…”
“Right here…”
Soren paused for a moment before the glow of divine power faded, and an invisible barrier expanded.
The distant starry sky remained dazzling and moving.
………………
Modo City.
The morning light spilled onto the increasingly crowded harbour dock. As more and more merchants arrived in Modo City, the third expansion of the harbour was also on the agenda. However, this was a concern for the City Hall, not something that needed to trouble the upper echelons of Modo City. Today’s situation at the harbour was slightly unusual, as a warship that appeared to belong to the Eastern Pirates approached here. Eastern Pirates rarely came close to Modo; even the Eastern fleet would only reach Fury Sand Island before turning back.
This ship was somewhat special.
It bore the black flag under Soren’s command, and after docking near the harbour of Modo City, a group of somewhat ragged individuals quickly jumped down from the Eastern warship.
“d*mn it!”
The Old Sea Dog stepped excitedly onto the land of Modo, his aura more fierce compared to before, naturally bearing a few more wounds. He gazed at the bustling harbour before him, disregarding the surprised looks of others, murmuring, “I’ve finally come back alive!…” (To Be Continued ~^~)
