Abyss Domination – Chapter 813

Chapter 18: The Flying Requiem!

Molo City is undergoing rapid changes.

However, after Lord Soren finalized the plan for the third expansion, he began to busy himself with his own matters. The City Hall of Molo City has long been able to operate independently, and compared to the efficiency of other places in the current era, the City Hall has an absolute advantage in execution. As long as the tasks assigned by Lord Soren are done well, it doesn’t matter if some things aren’t understood; just follow orders, and in time one will naturally understand why.

Molo City has always been under absolute dictatorship!

……………………

“Is this the rift connecting to the Bottomless Abyss?”

Gloria and the Fallen Witch are busy reorganizing the Elemental Furnace, and at this time, Soren also needs to layout the overall defense of Molo City. A crucial part of this is the passage connecting to the Bottomless Abyss, as a significant portion of the dangers faced by Molo City in the future will come from here. Closing this dimensional rift isn’t very realistic, as expending a large amount of divine power to seal it could also lead to a rift appearing elsewhere. Therefore, what Soren needs to do now is to strengthen the defenses in the area.

An elite legion from Molo City has already set up outside this valley.

Inside the valley, dense vegetation has been planted, with these plants magically accelerated to cover the entire valley floor. Any living creature that approaches this area could be attacked by them.

Near the dimensional rift, there is a strong smell of bl**d, and the carnivorous plants in that area are also the most flourishing.

The mutated plants from the Overseas Islands are very dangerous!

As mentioned before coming to Molo Island, many mutated plants have a challenge level that is not low; some are more challenging than mid-tier demons. Saruman has re-cultivated these mutated plants, and it seems he has secretly collaborated with some members of the Agricultural Church; Soren hasn’t inquired into specifics, but it appears that there are people within the Agricultural Church who are very interested in these plants.

The finished products are right before us.

Preliminary estimates place the challenge difficulty at around level 5. Some have undergone secondary advanced mutations, with bloodline powers of demons infiltrating their roots, making these plants more dangerous and aggressive by absorbing nutrients from demon corpses.

But this is still not enough.

Soren plans to further enhance their abilities, using these plants to block demonic invasions and at least prevent them from easily leaving the valley.

——”Plant Domain!”

A powerful domain power spreads out, instantly enveloping the entire valley.

Soren has yet to utilize the Plant Domain acquired from the Misty Forest. Since there aren’t many places where this domain can be used, it can be employed to strengthen these mutated plants.

——”Divine Power Bestowal!”

Soren’s divine power value is slowly decreasing; at the same time, all the plants within the valley are undergoing further mutation and enhancement.

As they are affected by the Plant Domain and receive Soren’s divine power, they are also having their original marks erased—the spell marks left by Saruman controlling them—replaced by the divine power marks from Soren’s Plant Domain. The divine power scattered upon these mutated plants allows Soren, if needed, to observe this valley directly from their perspective.

Not much divine power can be wasted.

Soren outputted about 50 points of divine power before stopping, focusing on the mutated plants surrounding the dimensional rift.

After Soren’s Plant Domain and divine power endowment, the mutated plants closest to the front have significantly increased in power, at least doubling in challenge difficulty, and as the number of killing demons increases, the bloodline power and evil aura from the Bottomless Abyss may further mutate these plants into demon-like entities.

They will be the first line of defense for Molo City!

……………………

Having handled some scattered matters, Soren has an important task to do next.

With the emergence of a beam of light from a teleportation spell, Soren’s figure directly appears in the laboratory of the Shadow Plane. In front of him is the busy Fallen Witch, while Gloria is busy in another laboratory disassembling the golem puppets with specialized abilities.

“Is what I requested ready?”

Soren glanced at the busy Fallen Witch and slowly said, “I am ready on my end.”

Upon hearing this, the Fallen Witch raised her head; she seemed to have not rested for a while and looked slightly fatigued. She nodded and replied, “It’s ready.”

“It’s over on the alchemical platform; I will help you install it later.”

Soren nodded and waited quietly.

An hour passed in the blink of an eye. After the Fallen Witch finished her task, she waved to retrieve a fairly large silver metal ring from the alchemical platform, then turned to Soren and asked, “Where is it?”

“Did you bring the schematic drawn by Gloria?”

Soren took out a piece of paper that depicted a warship, with many complex notations at the bottom of the cabin and sail, along with spell models that were quite dizzying to look at.

“Hmm?”

“Very nice design! This should work!”

The Fallen Witch’s figure floated upwards, softly saying, “Let’s go now. We should be able to finish it by tonight.”

A beam of light from a teleportation spell brightened the space.

The figures of Soren and the Fallen Witch appeared on the surface of the sea near Molo City. When the Fallen Witch nodded to Soren to indicate they could begin, the water beneath their feet gradually parted, and a black mast rose from the seabed, followed by the Ghost Ship—The Requiem—breaking through the waves, accompanied by a spreading mist. This long-silent legendary ghost ship re-emerged into the world.

Killing has made The Requiem even more powerful.

However, this transformation takes time, as Soren is now virtually unbeatable at sea. Unless someone is foolish enough to provoke the Ocean Goddess, few enemies dare to battle him on the water. Consequently, the ghost ship—The Requiem—has temporarily lost its usefulness and hasn’t needed to join the fight for a long time. During this period, The Requiem has been lying silent at the bottom of the sea, digesting the d*ath force absorbed from killings, while completely consuming the vengeful spirits attached to the ship.

Now it has become a true legendary ghost ship!

“I’m starting.”

“I may need your assistance later.”

The Fallen Witch flashed her figure directly onto the deck of The Requiem. She first curiously examined this legendary ghost ship, then waved her hand to produce a fairly large silver metal ring.

The levitating ring.

A medium-sized floating ring customized according to Soren’s specifications.

Soren has always adhered to the principle of accumulating before erupting; after a long period of accumulation, it is finally time to apply it. While he can’t currently raise a floating tower, which requires Gloria and the Fallen Witch to complete all research on the Elemental Furnace and figure out a stable energy transfer method, having finished the research on the floating ring, it is time to put it into practical use. Without a doubt, the ghost ship—The Requiem—is the most suitable application at present.

First, the ghost ship itself has sufficient energy.

It can supply energy to the floating ring by itself and can also enhance kinetic energy with the addition of other devices if necessary. Moreover, there are vengeful spirits on the ghost ship, which can provide the force needed to keep the floating ring operational.

Secondly, the ghost ship is not large, and its weight is within the floating ring’s bearing range.

From all angles, The Requiem is highly suited as a testing subject for the floating ring, and if a legendary-level ghost ship is successfully modified to include the floating ring, its combat power will be truly remarkable.

The Requiem possesses formidable offensive capabilities.

The Requiem restrains a large number of undead beings.

The Requiem is itself a legendary construct life form.

The Requiem can self-repair its body.

……………………

Now.

As long as it adds a floating ring and re-enchants the sails.

Then the Requiem can fly!

——“Flying Requiem!”

This is Soren’s goal.

In order to get the impatient Gloria to draw up the modification schematic for The Requiem, Soren even worked quite hard last night. He’s not sure if it’s just an illusion, but whenever he sees Gloria immersed in her research work, Soren always feels like he sees a reflection of the Fallen Witch. This unintended excitement last night was rather unexpected.

Thinking about it, he does feel somewhat guilty.

……………………

Time ticks away.

The Fallen Witch moves about within the cabin of The Requiem as the floating ring is gradually installed onto the ghost ship. The entire warship begins to rise, the depth to which the hull is submerged in water becoming shallower. When it reaches a certain critical point, The Requiem suddenly shakes, and the entire ship hovers about a meter above the sea surface.

“The floating ring has been installed.”

The Fallen Witch’s figure reappears, brushing a strand of long hair aside, and softly says, “However, the control system is not yet complete; the ship can only sail relying on the wind direction while above water.”

“The schematic for the sails enchanted by Gloria has limited effectiveness.”

“The ghost ship itself needs a source of self-propulsion; if you want to control its movement freely, you will probably need to inscribe a huge magic circle inside the ship.”

“This requires a considerable investment of time and effort.”

The floating ring only neutralizes the ghost ship’s gravitational influence; other aspects of control require additional alchemical support.

This is also the case for the floating tower.

However, now that the most crucial part is finished, sorting out the rest is merely a matter of time.

——“Flying Requiem!”

Though it’s not fully complete yet, Soren has already achieved his goal.
