Chapter 39: The Three Death Deities!
With the complete death of the Thousand Souls Head, the energy on the Soul Furnace became chaotic.
This remaining energy was of no use to Soren, as the number of souls resulted in a disordered consciousness. It was a highly impure force, which might be attractive to demons of the chaotic faction, but for Soren, it was almost like poison. The divine energy had already been completely devoured by him, and the Killing Domain had an insatiable thirst for divine power, leaving almost no possibility of anything being left behind. The flickering ghostly flames gradually extinguished, and as the last trace of power from the deity was absorbed by Soren, this place was truly abandoned.
An inconspicuous statue appeared before him.
Soren glanced over and confirmed its identity; this was indeed the temple of the “King of Bones.”
Of course.
If we go by past titles,
He should be one of the Three Death Deities, once known as the “King of the Dead” – Moku!
The Three Death Deities are the God of Murder – Baal, the King of the Dead – Moku, and the God of Strife – Baan! These were their titles when they were still alive. After their fall, their divine positions were taken over by others, and they were renamed the God of Slaughter, the King of Bones, and the God of Tyranny. This was primarily to differentiate the new gods who took over their divine positions.
For example, the King of the Dead – Klanvor and the now-sealed, mad God of Murder.
In ancient times, there were three extraordinarily powerful humans, Baal, Moku, and Baan, who challenged countless powerful beings and repeatedly crawled back from the gates of death, even killing one of the seven ancient gods who had been lost, each acquiring a portion of divine power. Eventually, these mortals caught the attention of an immensely powerful being, namely, the God of Death – Ye Ge, who is most likely to possess “Great Divine Power.”
This ancient God of Death grew weary of his duties.
He divided his divine power into three parts and bestowed them upon the three mortals who found him at that time, thus creating the later Three Death Deities.
The strongest axis alliance of the evil faction gods!
The power of the God of Death – Ye Ge is incalculably strong. He was not influenced at all by the Saint’s Cataclysm, having transcended beyond the three realms and not being bound by the five elements.
He split his divine position and divine power into three, directly leading to the creation of three immensely powerful evil gods!
Then Ye Ge preserved his own divinity, taking on the role of a helper to assist the Three Death Deities in adapting to their divine positions and powers, even later aiding the current “King of the Dead” – Klanvor.
Even if the God of Death – Ye Ge is not “Great Divine Power,” Soren estimated it should not be far off.
Now.
The Three Death Deities have all fallen. Ye Ge seems to have also gone into seclusion for a while, after all, the King of the Dead has gradually mastered his divine position and work.
However, the power he left behind has not disappeared.
The core power of slaughter is still sealed within the body of the God of Murder, the power of death is held by the King of the Dead, and although the Demon God of Fear is now dead, most of his power remains in the Throne of Fear within the Bottomless Abyss.

The two Saint’s Cataclysms, being the core that stirred the multiverse, were both related to the powerful forces left behind by the God of Death – Ye Ge.
His power was enough to create three “Strong Divine Power” deities!
The God of Death – Ye Ge.
There are actually very few legends about him, but in the past, many adventurers theorized that the God of Death – Ye Ge did not abandon his immense power out of weariness, but rather to guard against some even more terrifying existence.
For instance, another god with Great Divine Power.
There are very few gods remaining that genuinely possess Ancient God-level existence, even the Mother Earth and Father Oak. They are both gods that were born from the Material Plane.
This means that the Material Plane must exist first for gods of their level to emerge.
Before this, the multiverse held even older deities, and there are still many vacant positions in the Pantheon, such as gods that created the Material Plane, gods that fought against the First Generation Demons, and those who created the “Lord of Hell” – Asmothiels. (Note: Creating a plane is a measure of “Great Divine Power.”)
The multiverse is vast.
Astral travel is too taxing for the deities. Many mysteries are still being explored even by the gods.

“The Three Death Deities.”
Soren silently stared at the statue before him. To be honest, his connection with the Three Death Deities runs deep; it could even be said that they are intertwined. He certainly inherited a trace of bloodline from the God of Slaughter, while Vivian is the offspring of the Demon God of Fear. Now Soren embodies the realms of Slaughter, Death, and Fear, all of which are the core domains of the Three Death Deities. Because of Vivian, Soren has an irreconcilable enmity with the Demon God of Fear, and due to his bloodline of Slaughter, it is impossible for him to coexist peacefully with the God of Murder.
Now.
As for the successor of the Three Death Deities’ power, only the relatively amicable King of the Dead has temporarily no hostile relationship with Soren.
However.
If he were to learn about Soren’s close contact with the Goddess of Magic, his attitude might not be so friendly!
“Death, Slaughter, Fear.”
Soren seemed to see the path ahead and found the key to completely overcoming the Demon God of Fear; he might even end the Saint’s Cataclysm this way, at least significantly reducing the destructive consequences caused by the catastrophe.
The outbreak of the Saint’s Cataclysm.
The power of the Three Death Deities would all fall to the mortal realm, with the King of the Dead falling during the mid-stage of the Saint’s Cataclysm. The Demon God of Fear, although dead, will not have the Throne of Fear in the Bottomless Abyss disturbed.
The timing of the God of Murder’s fall to the mortal realm is uncertain, but it will not be much later than that of the other deities.
In this way,
Soren genuinely has a chance to consolidate the powers of the Three Death Deities into one!
Of course.
Achieving this solely with his own power is fundamentally impossible; one could even say there is less than a one in ten thousand chance.
Soren must have more allies, more assistance, and more trump cards.
He might even need a pantheon as a backing to confront those who hold the powers of the Three Death Deities!
“Slaughter, Death, Fear, Evil, Domination, Pirate, Shadows, Plants!…”

This forms the foundation for his future advancement to “Strong Divine Power.” However, even advancing to Strong Divine Power would merely grant him a power level comparable to his opponents; Soren must leverage the strength of other Strong Divine Power deities to defeat his adversaries.
He needs allies.
At the very least, firm allies of medium divine power or above, whose relationships must be better than those with the current Ocean Goddess and Goddess of Wealth, since these two goddesses currently cannot assist Soren in confronting other deities.
The Goddess of Magic might possibly step in, but only if she can weather this death crisis!
