Chapter 40: Domain Enhancement

The battle is basically over.
Soren acquired over 1.3 million Killing Experience from this relic exploration, combined with his previously accumulated Killing Experience, bringing his total to over 1.6 million points.
There’s nothing much to think about.
Soren’s priority is still to increase his Archmage level because he needs to raise his Wizard level to 17 as soon as possible. This way, after fusing the conflicts between Archmage and Wizard with the power of the Goddess, he can master his first Nine-ring Spell Slot when his Wizard Profession Level reaches 17. Since the destruction of the Arcane Empire, the distinction between Nine-ring Spells and Legendary Spells has become much blurred. Although many spells are referred to as Nine-ring Spells, according to the current standards of the Material Plane, they are all called Legendary Spells.
Soren has the blessing of the Goddess, so after his Wizard Profession Level reaches 17, the number of Nine-ring Spell Slots he can use is not one, but two.
This enhancement is substantial!
Being born with one more Nine-ring Spell Slot, Soren’s total spell slots have already exceeded those of many Wizards above level 20.
A line of data appears before him:
“Upgrade Archmage Profession to level 6.”
“Earn 34 (Intelligence 26 + (Intelligence 26-10) * 0.5) skill points, Health increases by 12 (Profession Health 4 + (Constitution 26-10) * 0.5).”
“Earn one Free Attribute Point.”
………………
“Just one more level.”
Soren silently checked his attribute page; he had over 500,000 Killing Experience left, but increasing one more level requires over 1.3 million Killing Experience. He is about to step into the ranks of high-level Legendary Professionists, and the amount of Killing Experience needed will increase more and more in the future. To combat the existence of Strong Divine Power, he must raise his total profession level above 35. This requires an enormous amount of Killing Experience, conservatively estimated to be over 30 million Killing Experience.
“I can master Nine-ring Spells soon.”
For Wizards, Nine-ring Spells are a watershed. Mastering Nine-ring Spells will greatly enhance their combat power, and the ‘Wail of the Banshee’ and ‘Meteor Swarm’ spells within the Nine-ring Spells can significantly compensate for Soren’s lack of group damage capability. Otherwise, relying solely on his current method of killing enemies piece by piece would put him in a very passive position against large-scale monsters like a swarm of insects. Divine Power can indeed deal area damage, but gaining Divine Power is exceedingly difficult.
The Priests who believe in Soren cannot reduce the divine techniques bestowed on them, and the powers within the Divine Kingdom cannot be mobilized. Soren must be very frugal with his Divine Power.
Furthermore,
Without the accumulation of Divine Power, Soren could not have fought so easily this time.
Having Divine Power qualifies one as a deity.
Without Divine Power, a deity in Saint form is merely a significantly powerful Legendary figure.
There’s no need to think much about the Free Attribute Points.
Soren allocated them directly to Agility, bringing his Agility score to an astonishing 35 points. If he could raise his Agility to around 40 points, his highest attributes would be enough to match many deities of Medium Divine Power. As for increasing it to above 45 points, that is not something to consider for now since only deities with Strong Divine Power typically have a main attribute as high as 45 points. Moreover, most of these deities rely on the endowment of Divine Power and Divine Techniques.
“The current Divinity Value is 85 points.”
“The Divine Power Value is 35 points.”
“The Divinity Value is nearly close to Medium Divinity, but the Divine Power Value is still completely insufficient!”
“There are plenty of creatures with divinity, but very few have divine power.”
“Perhaps future increases will require killing deities to gain enhancements; how those long-established deities managed to raise their Divine Power remains a mystery.”
Soren’s Divine Power Value is severely lacking.
He doesn’t know if other deities are the same—having a Divinity Value far exceeding their Divine Power Value.
The chance to gain divinity during battle is relatively high, but the chance to gain Divine Power is very low. Usually, only special enemies have the possibility of possessing Divine Power; other deities have long been established. Perhaps through the powers of time and divine profession, they have slowly compensated for their shortfall in Divine Power. However, Soren’s time as a deity is still too short, and now his Divinity Value is nearing double his Divine Power Value.
………………
With the d*ath of the Demigod Lich, this underground relic completely lost control.
Those skeletal undead controlled by him have now turned into wild monsters, actively attacking anything alive they see. Since Soren is already here, he plans to harvest some of these undead, which should yield several tens of thousands of Killing Experience.
He’s not sure if it’s his illusion.
He feels that the Killing Experience he gained from killing these skeletal undead increased by about 10% compared to the initial gains.
This increase is not very obvious.
However, according to Soren’s own calculations and long-standing experiences, the Killing Experience from killing skeletal undead has genuinely increased, likely within a range of 5-10%.
“Could it be because of the d*ath domain?”
Soren couldn’t help but fall into thought, murmuring, “Based on past deductions, any ability related to souls can enhance the Killing Experience gained. This is equivalent to improving the proportion of soul power absorption, and it’s said that under certain specific conditions, the percentage of Killing Experience gained can additionally increase by 20%!”
Undoubtedly,
The Killing Experience gained has truly increased. Perhaps it’s just a few hundred points more per each instance, but accumulating minor gains is not to be underestimated.
Soon,
Soren cleared almost all the monsters in the entire underground relic.
After slaughtering those undead, he briefly totaled his findings and was surprised to discover he had actually gained around 100,000 points of Killing Experience.
If he had the opportunity to grind some more, it wouldn’t be long before he could learn Nine-ring Spells.
Basically, there are no more monsters.
Soren circled the entire underground relic, finally confirming that all the monsters had been cleaned out, and then he scrounged some gold and silver treasures before planning to leave this God of d*ath’s relic.
The Eastern Kingdom has many relics.
Although the danger is high, considering that some deities might even fall there, there are still plenty for Soren to challenge.
He plans to go back to rest a bit.
Then, he intends to interact with that girl named Alice, aiming to gain some favorability, figuring out a way to trick her back to Modo City, where Gloria could extract core knowledge about the Arcane Empire from her.
He cannot abandon the Golem Legion.
In the Arcane Empire era, mortals could challenge deities precisely because they had an immensely powerful Golem Legion, whose scale could even hard steel against the Prayer Weavers within the divine kingdoms. During the period of the Saint’s Cataclysm, Grand Archmages could single-handedly take on Divine Kingdoms, relying on the massive Elemental Fusion energy within the Floating City and the large-scale Golem Legion.
It was precisely because the energy within the Floating City could rival that of a small Divine Kingdom that deities felt a great deal of worry towards Grand Archmages!
