Chapter 5: Demon Rebirth

After the ten souls had been washed by the divine power of faith within the temple, Soren began to draw upon the power accumulated by the temple, waving his hand to open a rift between the spirit world and the material plane. The souls of the believers, after all, were not real forms of life, and Soren could not convert them directly into Prayer Weavers in the material plane, so he retained their spiritual characteristics and did not recreate their bodies. The creation of Prayer Weavers is quite similar to the rebirth in the Abyss Blood Pool; many gods use similar tools to transform the souls of believers into new life.
The quality of the other nine souls was not good enough.
However, as Soren’s zealot, Mano’s soul was rather pure, belonging to someone with steadfast beliefs.
Had he not died at the hands of a demon, it was possible he would have become a High-level Professionist or even advanced to a Legendary Professionist in the future. Considering that most of his current zealots were still alive, he was the first to die and return in soul form under Soren’s command. Therefore, after thinking it over, Soren extended his finger and lightly touched Mano’s soul, infusing it with 1 point of Divinity Value.
“My lord!”
With a glimmer of divine light appearing, Mano’s soul immediately underwent a significant transformation, almost forming a substantial body.
However, this was only a semi-material form of Heroic Spirit.
Similar to high-level vengeful spirits, it could change between the real and the illusory, but its essence remained that of a spiritual body.
Most of his past memories had almost disappeared with rebirth; Mano currently retained only a small portion of his memories, and his faith began to grow pure, with some of his past combat skills also preserved.
Soren transformed him into a guardian Heroic Spirit of the Grand Temple using his Divinity.
This existence was similar to the time of great turmoil in the City of Wealth, when the Temple of Wealth had Holy Spirit Priests responsible for guarding, trained in a similar manner by Lady Wealth.
“Your task from now on is to guard here.”
The newly reborn Heroic Spirit needed to relearn in a manner similar to an amnesiac adult. Everything from the past had become a memory of the past.
His upcoming mission was to follow Soren.
If Soren fell, these Heroic Spirits serving him would fall along with him.
However, if Soren did not die, these Heroic Spirits would be nearly immortal; even in death, Soren could find ways to resurrect them. This was because when creating him, Soren had already left the imprint of the believer’s soul.
Everything ended quickly.
The High Priest silently observed it all and waited until Soren completed the process before saying, “My lord.”
“These souls can temporarily reside in the temple.”
“But if the number of deceased believers continues to increase, the capacity of the temple to accommodate souls will become rather limited!”
“And.”
“The temple finds it very difficult to sustain so many souls.”
After all, the temple was not the Divine Kingdom.
The Divine Kingdom is a separate plane that can draw elemental power from other worlds, while the temple is entirely supported by faith. Soren may not have a problem with ten souls, but what about a thousand or ten thousand souls?
The Saint’s Cataclysm was about to erupt completely.
Even Modo would find it hard to escape this crisis. In the future, the number of deceased believers would surely increase, and with no connection to the Divine Kingdom, Soren would have to either neglect these believers or find ways to accommodate them.
For a deity, the number of souls to be guided is enormous. If Soren neglected the souls of these believers, then after the Saint’s Cataclysm ended, he would have no foundation.
Therefore, he had to find a way to accommodate souls outside of the Divine Kingdom.

Soren’s expression gradually became serious; as a new deity, he was still imperfect in many aspects.
This time, he was moved by the death of his zealot.
Otherwise, for a long time, if his believers died, they would have to go to the Underworld, waiting for a messenger from the Divine Kingdom to guide them, either flowing into the River of Underworld or being reborn into other planes.
This was an invisible waste of resources!
After all, many of Soren’s believers were warriors from Modo. Most of these souls were still quite excellent and could be transformed into usable combat power after rebirth in the Divine Kingdom.
In the future, if he went to war with other deities, the souls of these believers could directly become an army!

This was Soren’s target.

Soren had thought about lowering the Divine Kingdom into the Bottomless Abyss. Currently, the Divine Kingdom was not connected, so naturally, there was no way to descend. When the Spider Queen lowered her Divine Kingdom, she had medium divine power, and Soren’s ability to lower his Divine Kingdom without being attacked was still less than ten percent. What he planned today was different; Soren intended to use the Abyss Blood Pool to test the rebirth of believers’ souls to see if he could directly transform them into demon-like Prayer Weavers.

He had a powerful Demon Avatar, and his understanding of demon bloodlines surpassed that of many deities.
Transforming a single soul required a great deal of power.
However, with the Divine Kingdom not being able to rely on, he could only try it himself.
A white light radiated.
What Soren was about to do was similar to high-level demons; some high-level demons, after acquiring high-quality souls, not only used them to enhance their power but also transformed them into their subordinates.
In simple terms.
This was a means of reshaping souls using the power of the Bottomless Abyss.
There are two types of soul rebirth.
One is rebirth through the Blood Pool, which is the most common method, and the other is direct rebirth; some powerful souls become demons without passing through the Abyss Blood Pool.
This requires alignment with the Power of Laws of the Bottomless Abyss.
What Soren intended to do now was to create a Prayer Weaver with his own power, but the power to create Prayer Weavers could not rely on the rules of the Bottomless Abyss for now, so he needed to pay with his own soul energy.
Or Killing Experience.
Divine Power Value, soul energy, Killing Experience.
All three can be transformed. In his divine form, Soren could convert Killing Experience directly into Divine Power Value, but the cost ratio was quite steep.
—”Saint Form!”
As the soul of the believer emerged from Soren’s palm, he entered the Saint Form, and then the Killing Experience and Divine Power Value he had stored began to be consumed little by little.
He began to create a demon body for this believer’s soul!
Of course.
This required the help of the Demon Avatar since Soren planned to use a trace of the bloodline power of the Demon Avatar as the core to create the demon. The Tanar’ri demons were created in this manner by the Obsidian Demons; as a deity, Soren was equally qualified to attempt to create a new type of life. As long as it did not change the form of life, deities could still accomplish it.

Reshaping the body with the soul is definitely easier than directly modifying the body.
Because the plasticity of the soul is the highest in the material plane; many souls that fell into the lower planes could rebirth themselves.

Then in the future, he could sync the rebirth methods of all Prayer Weavers after the Divine Kingdom descended into the Bottomless Abyss. It is essential to know that the rebirth of believers’ souls is not necessarily in human form; some elves may become treants after going to the Divine Kingdom, while some humans may become celestial beings. The God of the Hunt, Mara, whom Soren killed, had most of his Prayer Weavers transformed into intelligent beasts within his Divine Kingdom, and all these beasts were formed by the rebirth of believers from other races.
