Chapter 13: Soul Pool!

In the blink of an eye, he returned to the Material Plane.
As the fragments of the Divine Kingdom completely collapsed and faded away, the rift in the plane before Soren was gradually disappearing. He was unsure how many such rifts still existed. This depended on the impact received when the Divine Kingdom fell to the Material Plane. The territories of established deities are not small, and such fragments of the Divine Kingdom do not harbor much good. To truly discover something, one must find the core of the Divine Kingdom, where the God of the Hunt—Mara—constructed its center. That is the source of his power.
Continuing along the desolate land, traces of beasts became increasingly frequent.
Soren also discovered the traces of the Moonwalker, as well as the shaman priests among the orcs; the treasures within the Divine Kingdom had attracted many to venture there.
“It should be in this direction.”
Relying on his tracking divine profession, Soren quickly found a specific location.
After advancing for several dozen kilometers, an immense pit appeared before him, looking as if it had been created by a meteorite falling from the sky. Surrounding the pit were several rifts in the plane, from which many energy fluctuations emanated. These rifts might lead to fragments of the Divine Kingdom or its center; it was even possible that multiple rifts appeared in the same plane. Several groups had gathered near the pit.
There were humans, elves, orcs, and even dark species.
Soren even discovered the presence of followers of the God of the Hunt—Mara; he did not know what they were attempting to do inside the Divine Kingdom.
These groups were clearly stronger.
They did not rashly enter the interior of the Divine Kingdom; rather, they were observing, attempting to find which rift was safer to enter. With the ability from his tracking divine profession, Soren sensed a familiar presence.
It was the trace left by Lady Silver Moon.
“She really did come.”
Soren was not surprised by Lady Silver Moon’s arrival, as she possessed a divine profession similar to that of the God of the Hunt. She and Soren stood to gain significantly more from the Divine Kingdom.
There were a total of seven rifts.
After observing, Soren chose to enter the third one on the left.
No one tried to stop him; due to their differing races, there was little communication between them. However, upon seeing Soren enter, the orc group hesitated for a moment and then followed into one of the rifts.
Space distorted.
As Soren crossed the planar barrier, he found himself in a vast expanse of land.
This land was larger than the initial fragments of the Divine Kingdom. In the distance lay endless mountain ranges, and from a high altitude, one could see lakes, rivers, forests, and valleys. According to the teachings of the God of the Hunt—Mara—there were not many civilized structures within the Divine Kingdom; his focus was solely on expanding the range and capacity of the Divine Kingdom, showing no intention of developing civilization within. However, this was not surprising since the faith in the God of the Hunt was spread mainly in the wild regions of the Material Plane.
The boundaries of this plane were nowhere to be seen.
Soren’s line of sight extended hundreds of kilometers, yet he still could not see the edge of the plane. It was certain that this should be the main body of the Divine Kingdom.
It was likely several times larger than the semi-plane of the Northern Witch Council.
Soren’s figure landed.
Before him, he discovered some beast corpses; these beasts were not creatures from the Material Plane, but indigenous inhabitants of the Divine Kingdom.
—Beast Form Prayer Weavers!
Most of the reincarnated beasts had died during the process of the plane’s fall, and what Soren saw was their gradual decomposition after death.
Dissipating little by little.
It was just like the heroic spirits he had slain; their physical forms gradually evaporated, transforming into streams of energy that dissipated within the Divine Kingdom’s plane.
This energy was compensating for the consumption of the Divine Kingdom, which is why this divine realm was not shrinking rapidly.
Once all the energy of these prayer weavers was exhausted, this Divine Kingdom plane would likely diminish at an astonishing speed and eventually disappear entirely without the support of any deities.
“Where should I start?”
The Divine Kingdom of the God of the Hunt was so vast that even Soren did not know where to begin. Just then, a sudden explosion echoed from a distance.
Followed by a massive energy fluctuation.
The entire Divine Kingdom plane shook, and Soren could distinctly feel the acceleration of energy loss.
“Lady Silver Moon?”
Soren felt a sense of intuition and, in the next moment, confirmed that Lady Silver Moon must be ahead.
His figure rushed forward, and he saw other groups exploring the Divine Kingdom. One group of humans was battling an otherworldly apostle; even though the God of the Hunt had fallen, the otherworldly apostles who could not leave the Divine Kingdom remained loyal guardians.
The souls of the prayer weavers had a very unique form; they could only leave the Divine Kingdom under specific circumstances.
In scenarios like the fall of the God of the Hunt, with the gradual destruction of the Divine Kingdom, they could only remain within, hanging on to existence while awaiting their demise.
The God of the Hunt—Mara must have a treasure vault.
Deities typically store their treasures in extra-dimensional spaces, and for them, the safest space is naturally the Divine Kingdom. As long as they do not fall, they are masters within the Divine Kingdom, where they do not need to worry about anyone stealing their treasures. Lady Silver Moon must have discovered something; judging by the sounds of battle, those opposing her were likely at least divine servants within the Divine Kingdom.
There are five levels under the command of deities.
—Sub-Gods, Otherworldly Divine Servants (Divine Servants), Holy Spirits, Heroic Spirits, and Prayer Weavers.
Under normal circumstances, a complete Divine Kingdom should have at least three sub-gods; they must all be at least of demigod level, possessing both divine power and some degree of divine authority.
Deities with strong divine power usually have many sub-gods in their realms with divine attributes, even if they do not have their own divine professions.
Sub-gods are responsible for assisting deities in managing the entire Divine Kingdom.
Typically, three sub-gods are responsible for guiding souls, reincarnating believers, and divine wars.
These three are fundamental, so there must be at least three sub-gods, and sufficiently powerful deities can cultivate more sub-gods to assist themselves in managing and building the Divine Kingdom.
Next are the Otherworldly Divine Servants—Divine Servants.
The reapers of souls, as seen by mortals, are those wielding massive scythes of death, cloaked in black robes, responsible for harvesting souls. The reapers who bring souls not guided by the River of Underworld to the underworld mostly belong to the Otherworldly Divine Servant level.
Legendary spells summon divine messengers.
Most of those summoned belong to this level, and there are not many of them; replacing them in Mount Heaven requires at least a high-ranking archangel (Challenge Level 21).
Next is the Holy Spirit; it goes without saying that it is part of the core structure of the Divine Kingdom.
There is a high probability that zealots become Holy Spirits. Souls that directly become Holy Spirits upon death are the most exceptional; souls that advance to become Holy Spirits only after entering the Divine Kingdom must be much inferior.
Heroic Spirits form the main composition of the Divine Kingdom’s army.
Deities never lack for enemies, and for the potential divine wars that may erupt, the more heroic spirits there are, the better.
Finally, there are Prayer Weavers.
Faithful followers have a tiny chance of becoming Prayer Weavers, while devout believers have a much higher probability of becoming Prayer Weavers.
Prayer Weavers are the foundation of the Divine Kingdom.
The God of the Hunt—Mara has already fallen during the process of the Divine Kingdom’s descent, and most of the Prayer Weavers could not withstand the immense shock and perished.
There do not seem to be many heroic spirits who survived (Challenge Level 7).
Currently, those who can withstand the shock of the fall in the Divine Kingdom must at least be of Holy Spirit level. Otherworldly Divine Servants and sub-gods are unlikely to disappear immediately.
Ahead appeared a massive crack.
The ground was scarred several kilometers deep, looking as if the continental shelf was about to collapse. Following this crack led to a forest with a towering peak in its center.
The battle was coming from that direction.
As soon as he arrived here, Soren felt a sense of threat. He also saw an exceptionally pure lake.
Clear as a mirror.
From within came immense energy fluctuations, but they had been interrupted and were gradually weakening.
“Reincarnation Pool?”
Soren’s figure landed at the edge of the lake, mumbling, “This must be the reincarnation pool within the domain of the God of the Hunt?”
Soul reincarnation requires special powers.
Souls that reincarnate directly tend to be weaker. To enhance the strength of Prayer Weavers, deities often construct reincarnation pools within their realms. The most famous one is the Holy Pool in Mount Heaven, where souls emerge as angels.
The Hell of Bartok is the same.
The Lord of Hell—Asmothiels possesses a reincarnation pool infused with primordial powers that can directly reincarnate souls into fallen angels.
Even ordinary mortals are the same.
The reincarnation pool before him had already been severed from its connections; the followers of the God of the Hunt could no longer use it to reincarnate into the Divine Kingdom.
However, the power within remained.
This reincarnation pool, no telling how long it had been enhanced by the God of the Hunt, was now roughly the size of a lake. It contained energies reminiscent of the Abyss Blood Pool.
“Kill!…”
As Soren approached the reincarnation pool, a sudden sense of crisis erupted!
A hazy figure suddenly appeared above the reincarnation pool, resembling a fierce baboon; it addressed Soren, “Kill without mercy anyone who approaches the Soul Pool!”
With a roar, the enemy before him lunged at him immediately.
The soul pool.
This truly was a place for the souls of believers to be reincarnated, and such places are usually extremely important to deities. The Abyss Blood Pool is guarded by the Mother of Worms; here, the guardian is likely at least a divine servant level.
—”Spatial Sealing!”
A hint of divine authority emerged, sealing the space around Soren instantly.
The guardian protecting the Soul Pool was indeed a sub-god of the God of the Hunt—Mara. Upon determining Soren’s profession and level of danger, it immediately sealed the space to prevent Soren from employing planar jumping techniques.
“Sub-God?!”
Facing the fierce attack from the enemy, a strange light suddenly erupted in Soren’s eyes; he felt no fear but rather immense excitement.
Because sub-gods are worth more than any enemy!
They carry divine authority.
