Chapter Seventy-Three: The Bodaan Set
Bodaan.
One of the most famous pirates in the Material Plane!
He is an incredibly powerful Pirate Leader, the builder of the City of Bod, and a great navigator.
At the beginning of Soren’s rise, many believed he would be another Bodaan, and when Soren planned to establish the City of Modo, many prepared to watch his joke unfold. In the era when Bodaan was active, as the most powerful pirate force of the time, Bodaan built the City of Bod and appointed four dukes to rule the area upon his departure. In many ways, everything Soren initially did was very similar to Bodaan.
Even later, after Bodaan mysteriously disappeared, their experiences shared some similarities.
For example, the outside world rumored that Bodaan had mysteriously vanished or died at the hands of beastmen. However, in fact, he had quietly entered the domain of deities and obtained the divine profession of “Pirate” by relying on his immense strength. Yet, his talent was merely that of a mortal; Bodaan did not directly ascend to godhood like Soren. Instead, he went through a lot of twists and turns and even fell into the domain of dark beings for a time due to a certain curse. Nevertheless, after hundreds of years of disappearance, he eventually upgraded to a half-god and became the Pirate God with weak divine power.
According to records from the Arcane Empire, Bodaan was active for a while, and most of his believers were pirates.

Achieving godhood is a very difficult task; Bodaan’s mysterious disappearance and eventual ascension took nearly six hundred to eight hundred years. This is roughly the same timeframe Soren estimated for a mortal: accumulating divinity and divine rank through normal means, quietly developing believers, and finally successfully achieving godhood.
Currently,
the only ones confirmed to have held the divine profession of “Pirate” in the whole Material Plane are the legendary pirate Bodaan and the ancestor deity worshipped by the Víkings.

Soren also started his rise as a pirate.
However, he has gone much further than Bodaan. As the most powerful Pirate King in the Material Plane, the domain of “Pirate” that Soren mastered is also one of the earliest domain abilities he acquired.
The Sword of Bodaan isn’t considered a particularly strong weapon.
This sword is at most a second-tier legendary piece of equipment, but it’s not a standalone item; Bodaan’s helmet, Bodaan’s armor, Bodaan’s cloak, and the Sword of Bodaan are all part of a complete set. When collected, the abilities of these items significantly increase, achieving effects comparable to certain artifacts. Most importantly, in pirate legends, they believe that the equipment left by Bodaan will provide clues for their ascension to godhood.
Many pirates believe that collecting this set of equipment can inherit the divine profession of “Pirate” from Bodaan.
The red-haired woman before you is Adele Isabella, who has begun training to ascend to legend. Ever since she handed over the affairs of her territory to others, she has been traveling across the continent.
The news of obtaining the Sword of Bodaan was purely accidental. She learned of this from an informant in Modo.
Usually, people wouldn’t take such tavern gossip seriously; perhaps Andrei was just boasting while drunk. However, after Adele Isabella carefully analyzed and sent people to investigate, she discovered that Andrei had ventured out to sea and was the only one who returned alive. This strange occurrence told her that he might indeed know about clues related to Bodaan, which is why she came to see him today.
The Sword of Bodaan.
This sword isn’t anything particularly important; what matters more are the messages related to Bodaan. Ever since his fall during the Arcane Empire, the legend of this legendary pirate’s ascension has been passed down for a long time. Moreover, the treasures he left behind have attracted a large number of pirates to explore, and Adele Isabella is also very interested in them.
Soren naturally doesn’t know about this.

According to the records of the Northern Witch Council, the “Sword of Bodaan” isn’t considered very powerful, but it possesses a very special ability: it increases a person’s legendary status.
Whoever possesses this sword will immediately become well-known among pirates, gaining a reputation and rumors far exceeding those of other pirates.
Why would a sword have such a special ability unrelated to combat?
The reason is simple; achieving godhood requires legendary status of “Folklore Legend.” Adele Isabella isn’t very knowledgeable about matters of the divine, but somehow she has a strong intuition that if she finds the Bodaan set, it would undoubtedly be of tremendous benefit to her.
Additionally, it seems that Lady Gloria has plans to deal with the Eye Demon recently.
Among the famous items in the Bodaan set, the “Bodaan’s Shield” possesses a very special ability: it can directly reflect the rays of the Eye Demon.
Adele Isabella is considering whether she can find other components of the Bodaan set through these clues.

He straightforwardly produced an ancient map and handed it to Adele Isabella, slowly saying, “This is the clue I obtained; the components of the legendary Bodaan set are hidden here. “This place is extremely dangerous!”
