Chapter Eighty-One: Floating City Phase One Plan!

Modo City, Lord’s Residence.
Soren had been extremely busy during this time. On one hand, he had to keep an eye on the recently dispatched legendary adventurer party, and on the other hand, he had to learn various legendary spells while also studying the secrets of the Chess Dimension. Meanwhile, news from the Bottomless Abyss about the Demon Avatar had distracted him a bit, as if that high-level succubus were indeed the Succubus Queen, there would be many things he needed to pay attention to. However, it seemed he had not had a proper rest since the beginning, busy from Amber City all the way until now, hardly enjoying any moment of the leisurely life other transmigrators had.
If he could safely survive the Saint’s Cataclysm, perhaps Soren would choose to relax for a while.

Even Soren had imposed strict limitations; otherwise, the Fallen Witch would have already conducted experiments on “Elemental Annihilation.”

Below the Arcane Tower in Modo City, a vast underground passage was being constructed, with Modo City’s drainage system being highly developed. From the very beginning of building Modo City, Soren had already made plans. The demons from the Bottomless Abyss had brought a wealth of treasure, with a large batch of gems and materials obtained from defeated Lesser Demon Lords, which had little use in the Bottomless Abyss and could only realize their maximum value in the material plane. Additionally, wealth from the Church of Shadows made up a part, coupled with the treasury of Modo City and the income from Treasure Island. Maintaining the progress of the first phase of the project was not an issue for the time being.
However, the second phase would likely not be enough!
The plan for the second phase required building temples, which was an extremely costly endeavor. Soren aimed to expand all the shrines to the scale of temples, and the great temple within Modo City needed to be elevated to the main temple. However, doing this would require funding equivalent to that of more than ten Wizard Towers.
Currently, no faction within the material plane could afford it; perhaps the Divine Kingdom of Lady Wealth could attempt it.
The levels of temples are quite straightforward.
Altar (the simplest, such as the Altar of the God of Hunt), Temple (within villages and small towns), Sanctuary (within towns and cities); these three are the most common levels of temples.
Further up are the Great Temple, the Main Temple, and the Pantheon.
The Great Temple incurs substantial costs; Modo City had spent a hefty fortune to build it initially, and the scale of the Main Temple was even more massive, no longer merely a place dedicated to serving a single deity.
Generally speaking!
Main Temples are the core shrines of a pantheon’s main god and also enshrine subordinate deities.
Most who currently possess Main Temples are of strong divine power, such as the Lord of Radiance, Lady of the Night, Spider Queen, Elf God King, Orc Pantheon, and Lord of Storms, among others.
The only exception should be the Agricultural Goddess; although she possesses only Medium Divine Power, she has deities of rivers and lakes below her.
Finally, there is the Pantheon.
This is the largest scale of temple, with a name associated with the Pantheon of the Gods, which has occurred only a few times in history, and now the establishment of the Pantheon of the Gods’ Avatars is also related to a certain deity of Great Divine Power.
Generally, only those of Great Divine Power are qualified to configure a Pantheon!

As a newly ascended deity, Soren’s current limit was the Main Temple; further constructions would be financially infeasible and would easily provoke enmity from other deities.
A deity’s power must match the corresponding temple.
If Soren had not mastered the Divine Profession of Shadows and advanced to Medium Divine Power, he would probably not even qualify to construct a Main Temple.

Soren had been studying Nine-ring Spells and Legendary Spells during this time.
The spells he focused on researching were mainly Destructive Magic Sword, Time Stop, Spell Trap, Chain Accident, Imprisonment, and Wail of the Banshee.
Unfortunately, these legendary spells were increasingly difficult to learn; even divine beings could not grasp them quickly.
Soren had no idea how long it would take to learn them all; he could only hope that with his divine-level understanding, he could master these spells as soon as possible.

Soren’s energy was focused on researching the Chess Dimension. The Arcane Tower section was managed by Gloria and the Fallen Witch, while the Golem Puppet was handled by the legendary puppet Alice, with the high-level figures in Modo City performing their responsibilities.
Even Saruman had his duties; currently, his most important task was to familiarize himself with divinity, further enhancing the divine power brought by fertilizers.
Ideally, it would transform into a Divine Profession related to Fertility!
After this period of study, Soren finally grasped a key point in the Chess Dimension and made some modifications to its trials.
