Chapter 35: Astral Teleportation!
Modo City is a sparkling gem in the Overseas Islands.
Although Soren has gradually become more discreet in his actions, especially after the Investiture of the Gods, his interference with worldly power has lessened. He is a follower of the God of Knowledge, Oghma.
A powerful deity with an absolutely neutral alignment, and an outsider in this world.
Devotees of the Knowledge Church often tell a myth about the creation of the heavens and earth. Not long after Soren (Lady of the Night) and Shara (Lady Silver Moon) created the Material Plane (and the Earth Goddess, Shang Shiya, was born), a traveler bravely ventured from a faraway land to this place. When this traveler arrived in the world, he saw that the entire world was in chaos, with many constantly changing concepts in dire need of order.
For the next billion years, this traveler named and defined every concept. The names bestowed by the traveler generated power, fixing all previously elusive transformative concepts, forming the material natural world.
This traveler is Oghma!
He is a deity from beyond the world and one of the ancient gods of the Material Plane today.
Oghma tends toward conservatism, but throughout the long history, he has strictly fulfilled his duties. The rise of Modo City has caught the attention of this ancient deity, prompting his church to observe the city and send followers to the Overseas Islands to document everything.
Carlton did not linger too long at the harbor.
After disembarking, he quickly took out a small notebook and began recording everything he saw along the way.
However, this loyal follower executing his mission did not notice that as soon as he began documenting, everything he did fell under the eyes of some individuals in the darkness, and soon after, the crew members of the merchant ship were interrogated; information about him was swiftly relayed to the upper echelons of Modo City.

“Don’t worry about him! As long as he doesn’t enter the forbidden areas of Modo City! Let him wander where he wants!”
Soren learned about this matter instantly.
However, he did not pay much attention to the God of Knowledge; this deity has little intersection with Soren. If anything, it is clear that Oghma is one of the outsider deities, which could prominently demonstrate that apart from those deities connected to the Material Plane, there exist other divine systems within the multiverse.
One might call them crystalline wall deities.
The number of thrones in the Pantheon is incalculable, but it is evident that based on the currently connected deities of the Material Plane, they still cannot fill all those seats in the Pantheon.
Soren was not surprised by the existence of outsider deities!
Currently, the well-known God of Death, Naraku, belongs to one such outsider deity because his core belief remains in another world.

The Spider Queen, Rose, also has faith in that world, but the core of her belief remains in the current Material Plane.

Yet because of this, Soren has become much more familiar with the duties of a deity.
At the very least, without the faith network, he knows how to be a god, how to manage relations with followers, and how to respond to the prayers of devout believers.

It’s like someone who has grown accustomed to using a network must now learn how to accomplish their tasks without it.
“The experiment is about to begin.”
About a few minutes later, Gloria’s figure appeared in the study.
She nodded to Soren and said sternly, “The astral teleportation experiment for the Floating Tower is about to start.”
“My mother asked me to bring you over.”
Upon hearing this, Soren stood up and walked towards the Arcane Tower.
This is a very important experiment.
During the interplanar teleportation process, various functions of the Arcane Tower might overload; if that happens, the Floating Tower may fail to maintain its flying status. At that time, Soren would need to transform into his divine form to support the entire Floating Tower, preventing the Arcane Tower from crashing in Modo City and causing an irretrievable disaster.
Upon Soren’s arrival, the Fallen Witch initiated the teleportation process.
With the cold metallic voice of the Tower Spirit echoing, the Arcane Tower gradually began to rise.

“Element Pool activated! …”
“Maze energy protection activated! …”
“Teleportation Array in transport! … Activation countdown! … 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 …”
A dazzling radiance emerged.
In the next moment, the Floating Tower, suspended about one hundred meters above, vanished from its place.
Soren’s figure instantly transformed into his divine form and disappeared along with the Floating Tower from the Material Plane.
A deep, boundless darkness.
In the infinite astral realm, suddenly a crack opened in the darkness; then, accompanied by the faint glow of the Maze’s operation, a tower with a radius of approximately one hundred fifty meters appeared in the void, where there was no gravity or air.
“Teleportation complete!”
“The Floating Tower has reached the astral realm! … Calculating deviation of teleportation beacon position! …”
“Teleportation distance deviation 300 meters! …”
With the Tower Spirit’s voice resounding, the anxiously waiting Gloria and the Fallen Witch both breathed a sigh of relief, and then Gloria spoke: “Activate the Elemental Tower! …”
“Begin collecting astral sand! … Tower Spirit monitor for nearby anomalies! …”
A tower about fifteen meters tall rose.
