Chapter 4: Revisiting Old Times
Night Lan returned to her own Fish Playing House, and Eypar also floated out of the theater and kept swirling around Night Lan.
“It feels so familiar~ It’s really great to be home~”
The static hair on Eypar’s head bobbed excitedly, indicating she was overjoyed.
“What do you mean ‘your’ home? This clearly is my home.”
Night Lan rebutted unamused.
“Night Lan saying this hurts Eypar’s feelings… Isn’t it our home? Aren’t we family?”
“Nope, you’re just my pet.”
“That’s unfair!”
Night Lan ignored Eypar’s wails and surveyed their surroundings. The place was dusty as heck.
“This is way too dirty.”
In her heart, she wished to the Wish Princess that the room would revert to how it looked one month ago.
Moments later.
The Fish Playing House finally became clean at last. Well, at least there wasn’t dust everywhere anymore now.
Night Lan decisively stripped off her shoes and scampered to the bed in white silk pajamas. She pounced onto the fluffy bed like a hungry tiger, making snoring noises as she snuggled up, feeling the familiar warmth of her cozy nest.
“Mmm~ This bed is still the comfiest. After all, it’s the bed I’ve been with for so long. Maybe I should just sleep here tonight~”
Just as Night Lan sprawled lazily, Eypar decided to join in.
“To celebrate returning to our warm Fish Playing House, Night Lan and I need to stick together! We’ll have so much fun!”
Eypar wagged her long-static hair, acting very much like a happy puppy eager to jump into its owner’s arms.
But a silver-haired small figure was already standing behind her, grabbing her active, weird static hair to firmly pull her back.
“Not now. It’s Night Star and Night Lan’s stick-together time. Eypar should watch from the sidelines.”
It was Night Star, who had just returned from the Rising Sun Theater.
Back in Yun Chang City, naturally, they should enjoy the familiar bed together in the Fish Playing House. That would complete the experience.
Eypar’s expression quickly soured.
“Why can’t I join too? I don’t mind at all!”
Night Star pondered.
“Mmm… But I do.”
“No fair! You’re hurting a ghost’s feelings!”
Night Star tossed Eypar aside and then plopped down next to Night Lan.
“You’re always poking and prodding me. Adding you would ruin the mood. I don’t want to be teased twice. That’d be too much.”
“Huh? Isn’t that enjoyable?”
“Nope, only I and another part of me can get the hang of double sensory experiences. Eypar is just a newbie. So you can only stick with one for now. Double it’s too early.”
Double Sensory Experience.
This was a characteristic of having two bodies with one soul.
If you touch one, the other body will feel something. Touching both simultaneously amplifies the sensation.
Only Night Lan could handle the double sensory experience perfectly.
Others would get overly comfortable and blush or be too rough and cause discomfort.
It’s a double-edged sword indeed.
So Night Lan rarely let others touch both her bodies.
Especially not this pranking pumpkin ghost.
If she were to let her join Night Star and Night Lan’s double bonding session, it would surely cause trouble.
Thus, Night Lan refused Eypar’s participation.
“Gah…”
Eypar’s static hair quickly drooped, looking very dejected.
Her prank plans didn’t work out!
As a ghost teen living under the same roof with Night Lan for long, Eypar knew about double sensory experiences. Hence, she wanted to try it out.
But Night Lan saw through her intentions and refused her, being such a cheapskate!
“If you don’t want me, fine. Night Star and Night Lan can both go d*e in a fire.”
“Why don’t you go argue with Pigeon in the theater? It must love that.”
“I don’t want to! Who would argue specially with a pigeon? That’s just too dumb!”
“You have the nerve to say?”
Then Eypar turned and floated away, presumably heading outside to mess with random passersby.
She was always up for those sorts of shenanigans.
With Eypar gone, only Night Lan and Night Star were left in bed, each embracing the other while breathing in each other’s scents. They felt their hearts start to calm down.
Night Lan began rambling to herself.
“The grand performance in Pinghai City is over, next stop, Shanghe City…”
“Shanghe City is where I met Lian Hua and Eypar. Who would’ve thought it’d be so coincidental.”
“When I get to Shanghe City, I suddenly miss Sister Lan Feng Su Yu. Wonder what she’s up to?”
“Should I go visit her?”
Actually, Night Lan really wanted to visit the Night Watcher Base in Shanghe City to catch up with people she knows.
But going there as Night Star was embarrassing, and Night Lan just returned to Yun Chang City.
Neither identity was very convenient.
“Um… Guess there’s no need to worry so much. With the Theater Door and Flash, time and space shouldn’t be a concern. Even if discovered, I can lie about it. As Shining Sun, I should have such abilities, right?”
Night Lan mumbled.
Besides, she didn’t truly have anything pressing to do.
The pollution defect from Graveyard Star Eclipses was already fixed; the Leader should take care of it.
Returning to Yun Chang City meant no extra tasks assigned by Boss Xiao Jin, so maybe she could go back to her lazy, fish-playing routine.
Under these circumstances, wherever she went would be fine without any objections.

It’s her personal freedom!

Later, she’d head to Shanghe City to catch up with Lan Feng Su Yu.
At that incident in Doll City, Lan Feng Su Yu took good care of her. She missed her a lot.

Night Star and Night Lan are still cuddling. Spending some time together first before visiting is fine.

Nodding to herself, she prepared to go out, planning to visit Shanghe City alone just to meet up with friends and wouldn’t stay for too long.
She’d mention it to Zero Meow and the gang, and give Boss Xiao Jin a heads-up, to avoid them worrying.
Whatever Night Star did was none of her business—too bored for words anyway.
Sleeping all day in the Fish Playing House wouldn’t be an issue.
There were still a whole week before the Shanghe City performance.
