Chapter 252: I Might Be Giving Dragon Brother a Nickname
“Here it comes!”
He flicked his hair with a dramatic flourish.
“Hmm!”
She responded with the same hair-flip, refusing to lose out.
A light chuckle escaped as he stepped out of the shadows, confidently smiling like he already owned the universe.
Xue Shao Hua saw that smug grin and sighed, realizing once again—he was still no match! When it came to style points and cool factor, he was always just a step behind.
Seeing Xue Shao Hua’s forlorn look, Ye Liang Chen’s smile deepened—he was clearly having fun messing with his buddy. Compared to himself, Xue Shao Hua was still a newbie at this game.
He swaggered over and clapped Xue Shao Hua on the shoulder. “Found the thing?”
“Yep! All in the phone,” Xue Shao Hua said, eyes flickering with confusion. “Though I have no idea what you’re gonna do with this stuff, I could just send it directly to you, right? Why make such a big deal of meeting face-to-face?”
Ye Liang Chen chuckled softly, flicking his hair again. “Don’t you think that’s pretty cool?”
Honestly, today Ye Liang Chen was in a fantastic mood. Pulled a beautiful girl who was both stunning and charming—what’s not to be happy about?
Xue Shao Hua rolled his eyes. His mood wasn’t quite as bright; the refusal from Hu Yu Ying still echoed in his ears. Gets rejected? That’s no big deal—what annoyed him was that she outright said he’s not as good as Dragon Brother, which—ouch—that hurt a little.
“Here,” he said, handing over his phone.
Just as Ye Liang Chen was about to grab it, Xue Shao Hua snatched it back. “Remember what you promised me?”
Ye Liang Chen smirked, tossing his hair. “Of course, but judging by your expression, something must’ve gone wrong!”
“Let me guess,” Xue Shao Hua said, eyes narrowing. “You went to find Hu Yu Ying and got rejected?”
Seeing Xue Shao Hua’s face twist into a frown, Ye Liang Chen knew he’d guessed right. He understood Xue Shao Hua well—guy’s got pride, much like himself back in the day.
There’s no surprise that Xue Shao Hua went after Hu Yu Ying; if she accepted him, that’d be more shocking than a plot twist.
“I once told you,” Ye Liang Chen said, voice tinged with melancholy, “Hu Yu Ying’s personality is set in stone. When she chooses someone, she doesn’t change her mind easily.”
“If I hadn’t messed up, she’d have chosen me instead!”
His eyes darkened—if only he hadn’t wandered off that day to… ahem do his business, maybe he could’ve stopped Dragon Brain from stealing Hu Yu Ying away.
He tilted his head at a forty-five-degree angle, taking a deep breath. “I promised I’d get back what’s rightfully mine. You’re too impatient.”
“How can I not be impatient?” Xue Shao Hua exploded. “Hu Yu Ying’s presence—the way she moves, her every smile and frown—everything affects my mood instantly…”
Ye Liang Chen patted his shoulder. “Alright, alright, I get what you’re saying. But listen to me—I said I’d take back what’s mine, and that includes Hu Yu Ying!”
It was clear Xue Shao Hua had fallen hard for Hu Yu Ying—her impact was just as powerful as the glow of a full moon. Ye Liang Chen had felt that sting before.
Xue Shao Hua handed over his phone. “You’re right. Hu Yu Ying’s been recording things. I snuck a few pics while she was in the bathroom.”
A grin spread across Ye Liang Chen’s face. Of course he knew—he was a reborn master, a guy who had the edge, always one step ahead.
He unlocked the phone and started scrolling.
【Color matching: Use similar hues, like dark gray with light gray, to create a harmonious visual effect…】
【Style coordination: Follow the same style for top and bottom clothing, like… like… like…】
The more he read, the deeper his brow furrowed. “A bit deep, huh?”
He chuckled at himself and kept reading.
【Layered coordination: …】
【Style examples: …】
Ye Liang Chen gasped—literally. “Are you sure Hu Yu Ying’s been writing this stuff every day?”
Xue Shao Hua nodded. “Of course. I wouldn’t lie to you about this.”
Trusting his friend, Ye Liang Chen believed the words. These details were definitely penned by Hu Yu Ying herself—though they looked a little familiar, like from memories of his past life. Mysteriously profound, but definitely worth studying.
He transferred the information to his own phone, ready to analyze slowly. With his two lifetimes of experience, it’s only a matter of time.
“Good work. I need these. Whatever Hu Yu Ying is writing, send it to me immediately.”
“Got it!” Xue Shao Hua didn’t really see the point of these files; he didn’t understand why Ye Liang Chen wanted them, but he enjoyed pushing buttons.
After saving everything, Ye Liang Chen flicked his hair again, confidence flowing off him like a modern-day hero.
Xue Shao Hua flicked his bangs, crossed his arms, and asked, “Why do I get the feeling you’re extra excited today?”
Ye Liang Chen sneered at him through his hair. “Want to know? I’ll tell you!”
“I might be giving Dragon Brother a new nickname… and it’s green!”
This stunned Xue Shao Hua into blinking. He truly didn’t expect that Ye Liang Chen would dare to cross Dragon Brother—let alone declare he’d make him wear a green hat.
“Don’t be too shocked,” Ye Liang Chen said smugly. “Compared to him, I’ve never lost. When we’re on the same starting line, he’s not even a hair on my head!”
“So, what did you do?” Xue Shao Hua pressed.
Ye Liang Chen grinned confidently. “Nothing much—just fooling around with a girl. Dragon Brother tried to play hard to get, but she got shy and couldn’t help herself around me.”
“He’s supposed to be awesome, right? Suave, right? Well, I’m here to show him I only need to move a finger to get the woman he desires!”
His eyes sparkled with mischief, and a plan was forming in his mind—vicious plans to humiliate Dragon Brother and his crew.
He’d take their intimate photos and use them to make Hu Yu Ying, Li Qing Xue, and Lin Wan Ning utterly give up on him. Then, he’d swoop in one by one.
And don’t think taking them down is enough—he plans to make them chase after him till they burn out. If he doesn’t, all the suffering and side-eyes he endured would’ve been pointless.
“Don’t blame me for being ruthless. All this is your debt to me!”
