Chapter 302: She’s Asleep
“Send this to Hu Yu Ying. No, wait — do it immediately! I need to expose Dragon Brother for the fraud he is,” Ye Liang Chen roared in a frenzy, practically spitting fire.
He’d already cooked up a plan to ruin Dragon Brother’s reputation—how could he not? But now, it seemed Dragon Brother still hadn’t learned his lesson. The guy was up to his old tricks, hurting Hu Yu Ying again, and Ye Liang Chen was about to burst.
“Fine, then let’s kick off the plan early! First, make sure Hu Yu Ying really sees who Dragon Brother truly is,” Xue Shao Hua sneered with venom.
Ugh, this was just too much—way too much. Dragon Brother, you rotten dog, you’re pushing your luck!
As he was flipping through his penguin contacts for Hu Yu Ying’s profile, it hit him—wait a minute… he hadn’t added Hu Yu Ying’s penguin yet!
“I don’t have Hu Yu Ying’s penguin ID!”
“What?” Ye Liang Chen gasped, panting heavily.
He simply couldn’t accept this. Hu Yu Ying was supposed to be his. Yet, now Dragon Brother had swooped in and taken her away? Not even considering his feelings?
How dare he treat Hu Yu Ying like that!
Ye Liang Chen took a deep breath, calming himself as best as he could under the circumstances.
“This is the last time—I swear, if Dragon Brother dares to hurt Hu Yu Ying again, I won’t hold back. Not this time.”
Hearing this, Xue Shao Hua finally settled down too. Although Hu Yu Ying had never cared much about his feelings, this was the final chance. The moment he found out Dragon Brother was touching Hu Yu Ying again, he would go all-in—no matter the cost—to get the photos into her hands.
Yes, even if exposing Dragon Brother’s evil nature now might mess up their next steps, this was their last shot.
“Got time later? Let’s go out for drinks,” Xue Shao Hua twirled his hair and sighed deeply.
Today, he was truly furious—so furious he could explode.
“See you at the usual place,” Ye Liang Chen said, clicking off the call without waiting.
“Dragon Brother, you shameless b*stard. Just you wait—I will make you pay dearly for what you did to Hu Yu Ying today!”
“F— you, you d*mn b*stard. Since early morning, you’ve whisked Hu Yu Ying away—are you even a human being?” After venting, Ye Liang Chen looked up at the sky, his eyes burning with resolve.
“Don’t worry, my treasure girl. I swear—soon I’ll rescue you from this misery and restore your honor,” he muttered, eyes shimmering with determination.
Then, he slowly closed his eyes, a single tear slipping down his cheek.
“Even if you hurt me a thousand times, I’ll still love you like my first love.”
He wiped the tear gently, straightening his back, ignoring the stares around him. Turning on his heel, he strode toward the old meet-up spot.
When they met again, both men exchanged a wry smile, raised their glasses, and downed their drinks.
“This is so infuriating—I’ve never been this angry,” Xue Shao Hua grumbled, rubbing his forehead. “We came so close to stealing Hu Yu Ying away, and that b*stard Dragon Brother—he still managed to get her. I’m so mad I could k*ll!”
After a gulp, he continued, “Why does anyone actually like him? I refuse to accept it!”
“Do you think you’re the only one? I don’t buy it either,” Ye Liang Chen growled. “One of these days, that b*stard’s going to learn what happens when he messes with me.”
Before, Ye Liang Chen wouldn’t dare speak like that — but now he had some backing: those recent photos from the sh**t.
Honestly, he had a bit of confidence now.
In everyone’s eyes, no one could accept their loved ones wavering, cheating, or being disloyal.
Hu Yu Ying, Li Qing Xue, even Lin Wan Ning—especially Lin Wan Ning—couldn’t handle it!
Sadly, they only had a few hand-hold shots from the sh**t — far from enough. They needed to strike hard, strike fast, and crush Dragon Brother completely. One shot, one k*ll. No leaving him any wiggle room.
“Why haven’t you added Hu Yu Ying’s penguin yet? What’s the holdup?” Xue Shao Hua asked.
“You think I don’t want to? She refused to add me back. What can I do?”
Ye Liang Chen sighed, flicking his hair, revealing his earrings.
“Let me try,” he said confidently.
Xue Shao Hua scoffed. “Can you even do it? If I couldn’t get her penguin, what makes you think you can?”
He shook his head and handed Ye Liang Chen Hu Yu Ying’s penguin ID.
Looking at those numbers, Ye Liang Chen’s memory drifted back to a beautiful dream, and a smile crept onto his face.
He pressed send and then stared blankly at his phone.
A minute, two minutes passed—he chuckled at himself. Just about to shut his phone, he suddenly felt it vibrate.
Both he and Xue Shao Hua froze, then looked at each other and grinned.
They reopened the screen.
On the reply section below his friend requests, a message from Hu Yu Ying appeared.
“Ah Ying is already asleep. She’ll reply tomorrow when she wakes up.”
Seeing this, Ye Liang Chen and Xue Shao Hua’s smiles vanished instantly. They looked up at each other, both clutching their heads in confusion and helplessness.
In that moment, two pathetic figures reflected in their eyes—small, helpless, and utterly defeated.
They put the phone down, gently stroked the little girl’s long hair, and watched her peacefully sleeping face.
Dragon Brother kept poking her little face playfully.
He couldn’t help but laugh—his cute little girl was so adorable, even asleep she was perfect.
“Hmm~” Hu Yu Ying mumbled softly, making a cozy sound.
She scratched her messy hair and tucked her head against his leg. Looking up at Dragon Brother, whose face was calm and content, she felt a twinge of tenderness.
“Sorry, Brother Long. The bed is so soft… I must have fallen asleep without realizing,” she whispered.
Dragon Brother pinched her cheek with amusement. “Your phone just rang. Someone added you as a friend. Want to check it out?”
Hu Yu Ying shook her head.
“People keep adding me. But all my friends are already on penguin. I don’t want to add strangers,” she said softly.
“Brother Long, what time is it?” she asked curiously.
He checked on his watch. “It’s exactly 9:40.”
“Oh, I’ve already slept for two hours,” she said, hurriedly sitting up. No longer wanting to lie on his legs, she moved away.
“What’s wrong?” Dragon Brother quickly supported her, his eyes narrowing fondly.
Right now, this little girl looked so fragile—like delicate porcelain.
“Does your leg feel numb, Brother Long?” she asked, reaching to massage his leg.
Before she could, Dragon Brother wrapped his arms around her tiny frame.
“Don’t move. I’m just at the prime age—haven’t reached my peak yet. If I indulge in a little ‘flavor,’ it’s not so easy to control myself,” he teased smirking.
Hu Yu Ying’s cheeks flushed. She groaned playfully, hitting his chest. “Yikes, Brother Long, you’re so annoying…”
