Chapter 310: Seeing your frail look really shattered my heart…
Watching Little Girl happily walk into the academy, Dragon Brother finally spun around and left.
Strolling through the campus, Hu Yu Ying felt pretty good, occasionally turning her head back to glance. Though Brother Dragon had already left, everything that happened at the campus gate kept playing back in her mind like a favorite drama series.
She took out her phone and entered their cute little chat group.
@Qing Xue@Wan Ning: “Lunch at home? We’ll eat together.”
Wan Ning: “You finally remember us? Felt like you were about to forget us forever (crying emoji).”
Qing Xue: “(Giggling emoji)”
Qing Xue: “I’ve already been abandoned (big crying emoji).”
Wan Ning: “(Puzzled emoji)Tell us more!”
Looking at Qing Xue and Wan Ning chatting away, Hu Yu Ying’s smile never faded.
@Ying: “Isn’t living with my bro just the best?”
Ying: “(Sneaky grinning emoji)Not telling you!(Laughter emoji)”
While chatting, Hu Yu Ying had returned to her dormitory.
Her roommates all stared with wide eyes, eagerly waiting to find out—what sort of mysterious adventures had she and Brother Dragon been up to these past nights?
Faced with their teasing, Hu Yu Ying didn’t hide anything, telling them she rented a place outside with Brother Dragon and was just back today to grab some clothes.
Hearing that, her roommates were both surprised and a tiny bit jealous.
They admired Hu Yu Ying for being so straightforward about her decision—what kind of person was Brother Dragon, anyway? They’d never even seen him.
But their envy came from Hu Yu Ying sharing stories about her “Brother Dragon.”
They met in high school and, when Hu Yu Ying was at her lowest, he stepped in to help and take care of her. Such a destined big bro and little sidekick—wasn’t it just poetic?
College was free, people could choose to level up themselves or dive into sweet romantic pursuits.
Everyone had the right to chase what they wanted.
So, they could only respect and wish Hu Yu Ying well for her choice.
Hu Yu Ying received well-wishes from her roommates and laughed happily.
After tidying some things, her phone buzzed — a message from Li Qing Xue’s penguin emoji. She got up and headed out of the dorm.
On the way downstairs, she saw Li Qing Xue standing in the corridor.
“Qing Xue.”
Hearing her name, Li Qing Xue turned back and strode over: “What are we eating for lunch?”
“Fried chicken, good idea?”
“Awesome!” Li Qing Xue giggled—her youthful beauty shone brighter than ever.
Suddenly remembering something, Li Qing Xue looked serious: “Oh, last night after you left, I saw that guy from your class, Xue Shao Hua, chasing your car.”
“Be careful—he seems a bit crazy.”
Hearing that, Hu Yu Ying knit her brows: “Is he sick or what?”
“I think so too. It’s best to keep your distance.”
Hu Yu Ying nodded: “No worries, Brother Dragon will come pick me up.”
It was all kind of weird—she’d already told Xue Shao Hua clearly. Her communication skills should be pretty okay, right? Why was he acting like that?
“Is it because you’re just too charming?” Li Qing Xue chuckled softly.
Hu Yu Ying rolled her eyes: “I’m already Brother Dragon’s girl. And you—your admirer’s been making such a fuss, it’s even gone around our department!”
Hearing that, Li Qing Xue sighed helplessly: “Ah, don’t remind me. I’m already fed up with him.”
“I already said I’m not interested in dating right now.”
“If he refuses once, he shouldn’t pest me anymore. But it’s like he doesn’t get what I say.”
“Guess it’s because Qing Xue is just too irresistible,” Hu Yu Ying teased with a mischievous grin.
“Playing peek-a-boo with your charm…”
“I’m not afraid anymore—I’ve grown immune to your teasing.”
But even as she said that, under Qing Xue’s playful hands, Hu Yu Ying couldn’t help but laugh and squirm.
……
In the girls’ dorm at the Music College.
Lin Wan Ning stretched comfortably, easing her long, graceful body.
As a girl who often dances, her curves alone were enough to make hearts race.
Turning over onto her bed, she clicked to send a video invite.
Soon, Hu Yu Ying and Li Qing Xue appeared on the screen.
“Lazy Wan Ning still hasn’t gotten out of bed,” Li Qing Xue said with a smile.
Lin Wan Ning rubbed her slightly messy hair: “What’s for lunch?”
Hu Yu Ying couldn’t hold back her laughter: “Cool Wan Ning’s also a foodie.”
“Huh?” Li Qing Xue suddenly looked suspicious: “Alright, Hu Ying, are you thinking I’m a foodie too…?”
Watching the bickering on the video, Lin Wan Ning sighed helplessly: “Are you two having fun at my expense? Have you thought about how I feel?”
“Wan Ning, are your classes busy?”
Lin Wan Ning flipped onto her side, lazily puckering her lips, all casual: “Do I look that busy?”
Different majors, but compared to Hu Yu Ying and Li Qing Xue, Lin Wan Ning definitely had more free time.
“Why don’t you come hang out at our academy later?” Li Qing Xue suggested. “We’ll be done by around 9:40, then we can all go eat together.”
“Sounds good! I’ll come find you later and check out your campus.”

After agreeing, Lin Wan Ning hung up and reached under her pillow, pulling out a silver bracelet. Sunlight spilled through the window, bathing her in a warm glow, making her feel cozy and lazy.
Gently slipping the bracelet onto her wrist, a faint blush appeared on her icy, delicate face.
“Ah Ying, I just want a tiny piece of Brother. It won’t affect you—I’m your good sister.”
She got up, jogged a few laps on the track, checked her online shop’s backend, and after everything was done, she tidied up her room and left the academy.
Meanwhile, Hu Yu Ying received a message and immediately recognized Wan Ning’s location.
She got up and left. At the doorway, she paused.
“Are you okay?” Her tone showed concern.
Hu Yu Ying pretended she hadn’t heard, even avoiding eye contact, and strode off directly.
Watching Hu Yu Ying’s attitude, Xue Shao Hua sighed ‘oh’ and quickly pressed his hand to his chest.
He looked at her back and sighed bitterly: “Even though I’m the one most worried about you, you never see me…”
“Although I’m a lone wolf in the darkness, licking my wounds in the shadows, I still need some light too.”
“Why can’t you just understand my feelings?” He lightly mocked himself. “You have no idea how painful it was when I saw Brother Dragon take you away.”
“Just one look back at me, and I’d hold you close and cherish you, not like Brother Dragon—clumsy and rough—hurting you…”
“Seeing you look so weak and fragile… really shattered my heart…”
