Chapter 314: Why do I Feel Like You’re Guilty as Charged?
Quietly closing the door, she jogged towards the alley entrance, her cheeks flushed like a sneaky kitten caught in the act, with the gentle smile on her lips softening her face into something stunning.
She ran a few steps, trying to use exercise to calm her rapidly pounding heart—well, that and maybe trying to look less like a guilty thief.
“Hey, here.” Hu Yu Ying handed Lin Wan Ning one unopened soda bottle.
She gazed at her rosy-cheeked face and those dreamy, water-glazed eyes that seemed just a tad dazed.
Hu Yu Ying chuckled good-naturedly. “Qing Xue was just joking! How could we possibly leave you behind? Look at how anxious you are.” She lightly dabbed her finger across Lin Wan Ning’s forehead.
Feeling Hu Yu Ying’s gentle hand wipe her cheek, her eyes couldn’t help but drift toward her. Her eyes—those smiling, beautiful eyes—were always so tender, so serene. It was like she wielded some magical charm, forcing Lin Wan Ning’s racing heart to find a moment’s peace.
Sensing Lin Wan Ning’s gaze, Hu Yu Ying let out a soft laugh, her finger tracing the beauty mark by her eye. “What’s wrong? Why do you look so guilty, as if you’re a thief caught in the act?”
Caught off guard by the teasing tone, Lin Wan Ning quickly looked away. “No… You’re really beautiful.”
“You’re pretty too,” Hu Yu Ying replied with a smile.
Lin Wan Ning sighed in exasperation. “I can’t take it anymore—you two being so good-looking all the time—just go wash up already? I haven’t played with you guys in ages, my hands are itching.”
Li Qing Xue cheerfully chimed in, her smile radiating happiness as if she pulled every ounce of good vibes from the universe, spreading joy effortlessly to everyone around her. She tugged the two along toward the bathhouse.
“Later, I’ll share a bath with Yu Ying,” Lin Wan Ning suddenly announced.
“No way! You two go ahead—I’ll get a separate room; I still have my period, and it’s not over yet,” Li Qing Xue insisted.
“Then I’ll just take a shower, and you guys can enjoy the bath,” Lin Wan Ning said softly, maybe influenced by Hu Yu Ying’s words. She didn’t dare face her directly anymore.
Having a little secret she couldn’t share was inevitable, but that secret was destined to stay hidden—just hers.
“Maybe better not,” Hu Yu Ying declined gently. Though they were all girls, and it was common to have a period, some things still felt a bit awkward.
The real reason was she’d earned some money now—she could totally swing it.
“What’s there to be afraid of? We’re all girls,” Li Qing Xue joked, smiling warmly. “Period days are uncomfortable, and we wouldn’t despise you for it.”
Eventually, Hu Yu Ying insisted on reserving a single room and a double.
“Should I finish showering first and then come find you?” Hu Yu Ying asked tentatively, watching Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning look sad.
“Okay! We’ll wait for you,” they said in unison.
“We still prefer the vibe when all three of us take baths together,” Lin Wan Ning added softly.
Indeed, so many ‘firsts’ had happened among the three of them—first bath together, first time booking a room, first cuddling under a blanket watching dumb videos. These moments stacked like building blocks of friendship.

She looked down at the mark, instinctively raising her hand to hide it. A subtle blush colored her white, delicate cheeks.
When she sneakily kissed her brother, his unintentional response was to gently stroke her under her clothes. Probably, this mark was caused when she hastily pulled his hand away.
She never expected Li Qing Xue to notice so quickly.
No blame—her skin was so white and clean that such a red mark was impossible to hide on her perfect, porcelain skin.
“I think I must have scratched myself accidentally while adjusting my underwear,” Lin Wan Ning mumbled.
“Really? Does it hurt? Let me check,” Li Qing Xue said, already reaching out.
Lin Wan Ning bit her lip, enduring the tingling sensation in her body, afraid Li Qing Xue would ask more—so she just let her do as she pleased.
Steam slowly filled the room, and her blush deepened—partly from her body’s reactions, partly from the hot steam.
Her breathing quickened as she watched Li Qing Xue play around, unable to resist, and reached out to help her take off her clothes.
Li Qing Xue’s pride was immense—usually, she was the one resisted and toyed with by Wan Ning, but today she had her chance to revenge.
Watching her previous red marks replaced by new ones caused by Li Qing Xue’s teasing, she snorted—no more playing for her.
They scampered playfully into the water-filled bathtub, chatting and waiting for Hu Yu Ying to come in.

“Huh?” Lin Wan Ning snapped back to attention. She looked at Li Qing Xue blankly. “Qing Xue, what did you just say?”

She was about to say more when the bathroom door suddenly knocked.
Startled, Lin Wan Ning reacted sharply. “Qing Xue, don’t talk nonsense in front of Ah Ying!”
Seeing Lin Wan Ning’s unusually intense reaction, Li Qing Xue raised her brow slightly.
Before she could think better, Lin Wan Ning had slipped on slippers, tiptoed to the door, and peered out. Confirming it was Hu Yu Ying, she subtly opened the door just a crack.
“You finally came! If you don’t hurry, we’ll come find you,” Li Qing Xue stepped out of the bath, her figure perfect—the slightest extra or missing detail would ruin her beauty.
“Come give me a hug. Soon, Dragon Brother will monopolize you all, so come here and stick close…”
Hearing Li Qing Xue’s teasing words, Hu Yu Ying turned to Lin Wan Ning. “Have you two been secretly watching videos again?”
Lin Wan Ning shrugged. “Li asked me for the link, but judging by how wild she is right now, she’s probably watched a lot.”
