“<That's enough, you rest now>,” Hu Yuying said kindly, watching Lin Wan Ning look exhausted.
“Mm, rest for a night, and tomorrow we’ll bath together,” she added playfully before hanging up the video call.
With the call ended, Lin Wan Ning set her phone down on the bedside table, exhausted, and rolled over.

Once Li Qing Xue was convinced Lin Wan Ning was truly okay, she was ready to take her out for a good eat-around.
They managed to gobble up breakfast and lunch all at once.
After wandering the snack street for a while, Li Qing Xue spotted a vendor selling vegetable seeds.
“Wan Ning, what vegetables do you like to eat?” she asked, pointing at the seeds.
“Does it matter what vegetables I like? It’s just seeds,” Lin Wan Ning giggled, rubbing Li Qing Xue’s cheek.
“Of course it matters,” Li Qing Xue insisted, stubborn. “Long Aotian’s yard isn’t very big, after all.”
“Yuying plans to set aside a patch of ground to grow veggies,” she added, dreamily.
“A little yard, a small piece of land—that’s like living the farm life, huh?” she mused.
Lin Wan Ning took a deep breath, gazing at the sky: “Sounds pretty good.”
Whatever Ah Ying wanted to do, her brother would surely support her, wouldn’t he? Nice and cozy.
After a bit more wandering, Li Qing Xue decided to give up on the gardening idea. She realized she didn’t really know how to grow vegetables, nor could she tell if those seeds would actually sprout.
Better to wait until Ah Ying’s so-called vegetables actually appear, then invite herself over for a meal.
“Let’s go take a bath,” Lin Wan Ning suggested, amused watching Li Qing Xue’s mind jump from one thought to another.
But that’s just Li Qing Xue’s personality.
“I swear you love baths way too much,” she teased.
Li Qing Xue grinned mysteriously: “Got a secret to tell you.”
“What secret?” Lin Wan Ning asked curiously. Girls’ curiosity was just a disease, and even she, so composed, couldn’t resist asking when secrets were involved.
Leaning in close, Li Qing Xue whispered, “Secret.”
Lin Wan Ning blinked—then instantly realized she was being played by Li Qing Xue.
Her immediate reaction? To pinch her and make her squirm.
In truth, Li Qing Xue often saw Hu Yuying exercising early in the morning.
Her physique was all from those workouts.
But Li Qing Xue was too lazy to wake up that early, so she did her training in the late afternoon or evening.
Evening workouts made sweating easier, unlike the briskness of early mornings.
That was one reason Li Qing Xue loved baths—another was purely personal.
In summer, everyone takes daily showers—men and women alike.
When it’s cold, some shower every three days, others once a week, and some every half month, or even a whole month—purely personal habits.
Finally reaching the bathroom stall, they began running the hot water.
Steam billowed, and both started stripping down.
Overnight, Lin Wan Ning’s red marks faded quite a bit; only her collarbone scars remained somewhat deep.
Li Qing Xue’s hairband fell to the ground, and as she bent down to pick it up, she froze in surprise.
She looked up at Lin Wan Ning with confusion.
Lin Wan Ning chuckled softly, teasing: “What are you looking at? You don’t think I look pretty enough, and want to do something shy-shy with me, do you?”
Hearing that, Li Qing Xue shook her head quickly, blushing a little—hey, it sounded fun and a bit spicy, but it just wasn’t the right moment…
“I’ll go on the left, you on the right,” she announced, heading towards the tub’s left side.
