Chapter 368: We Will Get Better and Better
Alright, normally no one’s just allowed to squeeze my little face like it’s a stress ball—today I feel so happy inside, I might as well let it happen.
“Once we install the windows and doors, we can start living here temporarily. When the time comes, you guys can move in, and no one will bother us anymore.”
“If I hadn’t run into Ye Liang Chen, I swear I’d be asking him why the hell he’s bullying Li Qing Xue!” Lin Wan Ning clenched her tiny fists in indignation. “A grown-a** man with no shame!”
“If I could, I really wouldn’t want you to meet him. You have no idea how he’s turned out. If he’s trying to save me, I’ve already told him I don’t need saving. Yet he still insists. I don’t need saving! I really don’t.” Li Qing Xue sounded so wronged, it tugged at the heartstrings.
“Alright, alright, stop the crying,” Hu Yu Ying looked at Li Qing Xue with that adorable look, making everyone want to pinch her cheeks.
“From now on, when we’re together, no one will bully us,” Lin Wan Ning winked playfully at Li Qing Xue.
Li Qing Xue responded with a sweet smile, gently leaning in closer: “Alright then.”
“It’s still early. Want to go shopping for a bit?”
Everyone immediately nodded in agreement.
“Let’s browse the mall. Perfect timing to see what we need to buy,” Li Qing Xue suggested.
“Yeah, at least a big bed that can fit three people,” she even gestured with her hands to show how huge she wanted it—such a big bed…
At the mall, gazing at the furniture floors, Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning quickly picked out a big bed. The three of them lying on it comfortably.
“How about this one?” Li Qing Xue asked with a smile.
“It feels softer than the one in my sister’s room,” Lin Wan Ning honestly replied.
Yesterday, they’d slept on the same bed with her sister—so soft, so comfy.
This bed was soft too but nowhere near as fluffy as her sister’s.
Hu Yu Ying chuckled—funny thing was, that bed was bought by Brother Long. She remembered being shocked at the price back then.
Even now, she’d opened an online shop and earned some money, but thinking about that initial cost, Hu Yu Ying still felt a bit reluctant.
Looking at the price tag, sure enough, it was over nine hundred dollars more expensive than when Brother Long bought it.
But it wasn’t cheap either.
Thankfully, the house wasn’t finished with renovations. They just came early to check things out.
After a little while, Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning decided that once the rooms were done up, they’d come back and take the huge bed—definitely suitable for three.
Both of them had earned quite a bit from their online shop; splitting the cost was no problem.
“Want to look around some more?” Hu Yu Ying asked. “Maybe other places have better deals.”
“But we don’t have time today. We’ll just reserve this one for now. If we find something cheaper later, we can reconsider. What do you think, Wan Ning?” Since she wasn’t the only one making the decision, she asked for Wan Ning’s opinion.
Lin Wan Ning nodded. “Yeah, sis. Once the vacation starts, we can go check other places. For now, this price is acceptable.”
“Alright then,” Hu Yu Ying nodded, deciding to wait until holiday time to explore other options with Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning.
“Hehe, Ah Ying is so frugal and wise. With Dragon Brother, you’ve really hit the jackpot,” Li Qing Xue teased.
“Not really. Earning money isn’t easy. Now that we have some, we need to plan carefully on how to spend it.”
People who’ve endured hardships tend to be very thrifty—especially Hu Yu Ying, who was a little money-grubber. She’d rather save than splurge.
Life’s unpredictable—who knows when you’ll actually need that money?
Suddenly, a tiny hand was held in hers. Hu Yu Ying turned to see Lin Wan Ning gently holding her hand.
Lin Wan Ning softly said, “In the future, we’ll get better and better.”
That line struck a chord. She nodded lightly. “Yes, we will.”
Because she didn’t want to go through the pain of borrowing money from her grandparents when she got into high school, struggling to pay tuition.
So Hu Yu Ying studied hard and worked part-time to save for school fees. Now, things had started to turn around—she believed that the future would be brighter.
“I understand. In the future, I’ll spend my money wisely too,” Li Qing Xue said seriously, holding Hu Yu Ying and Wan Ning’s hands. “We’ll all get better and better!”
“Before, my parents would give me money to spend, but now that I have some income, I feel like I might be getting a little cocky… If I hadn’t started my online shop, I wouldn’t dare spend so much at once…”
“But it also made me realize that girls need to be financially independent. Otherwise, buying stuff you love becomes a headache. So yes, we will keep improving!”
Seeing her confident smile, Hu Yu Ying asked, “Your orders this month must be doing really well, huh?”
“Just a little…,” Li Qing Xue replied modestly.
Ever since Hu Yu Ying launched her discount cashback activities, her and the other two’s monthly orders had been pretty decent.
“Brother Long said that being financially independent is definitely something to be proud of. So we all gotta work hard,” she remembered him saying when teaching her to run her online shop.
He used to say money sounds common, but it’s actually a person’s courage. He wanted her to be better and better.
That’s why she never dared to give up easily—she aimed for the best, even if challenges came.
Fortunately, she’d achieved some of that now. She was no longer suffering from the hardships of before.
And the one who helped her change everything was Brother Long…

“Brother Long earns money to spend on me. Do you earn money to spend on me too?”
“Then I’ll go buy stuff for you both now.”
“Stop it; the sis and I have money…”
After shopping at the mall and returning home, the workers had already left.
Back in the room, Li Qing Xue plopped onto the lounge chair completely exhausted. “It’s been so long since we went out together. Today was really fun.”
“Every day with you guys is happy,” Lin Wan Ning stretched lazily on the bed, then flopped onto it completely.
Hu Yu Ying untied her long hair, secured it with a shark clip, then turned to them. “Want to take a shower?”
Three days ago, Brother Long had worked her till she sweat like a waterfall. Today’s shopping trip wasn’t short either, and she had a bit of sweat lingering. She felt a little uncomfortable.
“Yes!”
“Let’s go!”
Walking down the street, Li Qing Xue tugged playfully at Hu Yu Ying and Lin Wan Ning, holding their hands. “Tonight, I don’t want to go back. Let’s book a room and stay out.”
