Chapter 369: One Misstep, Infinite Regrets
“Wow, it’s a rare occasion, Old Dragon! You actually found time to hang out with us today!” Huang Fei joked halfway through his sentence.
“Seriously! Usually, after training, you vanish like a ghost! We thought you wouldn’t show up today. Come on, spill the beans, did your little sister put you on a ‘stay home’ house arrest?” Li Long Long chimed in with a chuckle.
“I reckon that’s it! Otherwise, you wouldn’t be looking like that,” Xu Shuai added, delivering a light punch to Dragon Brother’s arm. “Come on, cheer up! You’ve got your bros around!”
Dragon Brother let out a light sigh. Just when he was about to head home, he got a message from the Little Girl, and now the three of them were together again, with no plans to go home.
“What’s this? We’ve only just got together, and already we’re living the ‘I’m-not-going-home’ life?” Dragon Brother thought to himself, feeling a bit exasperated.
“Remember you promised to meet your little sister? How long has it been? Have you forgotten?” Huang Fei looked up at a nearby restaurant. “How about we eat here, then?”
“Just wait a bit longer, and I’ll let you guys try the Little Girl’s cooking,” Dragon Brother replied, tapping out a message to her without looking up.
His words snapped Huang Fei and the others to attention: “What? Your little sister can cook?”
Dragon Brother smirked, holding back laughter, “Oh, it’s just a little something she can whip up. Nothing to get all worked up about.”
“Honestly, it’s just a little delicious! No need to get all surprised.”
Jokingly, he glanced at Xu Shuai and Li Long Long, raising an eyebrow as he pretended to be shocked. “You two haven’t had a girlfriend’s homemade ‘heartfelt meal’ yet, have you?”
Xu Shuai froze for a split second, then quickly laughed. “Of course I have! How could I not? Hahaha, you’re really funny…”
Li Long Long cleared his throat, “You know how busy my senior is. Whenever I have time, I just want her to take a break…”
“Oh!” Dragon Brother nodded. “No worries then. When you have time, I’ll let you taste your sister-in-law’s cooking. It’s a bit delicious.”
Seeing Dragon Brother puff up with pride, everyone piled on him!
The four of them playfully barged into a restaurant.

Shen Meng Jie looked up to see the four of them trot past the coffee shop.
With a mocking glance, she turned to the two who were hiding, Ye Liang Chen and Xue Shao Hua, and smirked, “They’ve already passed by.”
Upon hearing this, Ye Liang Chen and Xue Shao Hua cautiously peeked out from under the table to see the disappearing figures of the four outside, before sighing in relief and sitting back down, as if nothing had happened.
Shen Meng Jie chuckled at the sight of the two. “Why are you two so scared of Dragon Brother?”
Ye Liang Chen slowly closed his eyes.
Xue Shao Hua chimed in, “Not long ago, Old Ye had a little spat with Dragon Brother.”
As soon as Xue Shao Hua finished his sentence, Ye Liang Chen opened his eyes and looked at Shen Meng Jie. “It was just a minor quarrel. Nothing serious!”
Curious about their conversation, Shen Meng Jie asked, “What was the quarrel about?”
With a straight face, Ye Liang Chen brushed his cheek with his hand, looking somewhat disdainful. “I met a friend I hadn’t seen in nine years, and it triggered some insecurity in someone that made them feel threatened, hehe.”
He took a deep breath. “He didn’t like my presence, so he senselessly decided to attack me. I wasn’t ready, but it’s fine. I just got hit once, that’s all.”
“But he didn’t come out of it unscathed, either.” Ye Liang Chen smirked, thinking about how if he’d been two seconds late in waking up, he would’ve been the one panicking!
Shen Meng Jie rolled her eyes, clearly seeing through Ye Liang Chen’s bravado. He was scared out of his mind when he saw Dragon Brother, yet he cooked up so many excuses to justify his cowardice. Ridiculous!
“Didn’t we agree that if I didn’t contact you, you wouldn’t come over? What are you doing here today?” Shen Meng Jie asked, resting her chin on her hand and batting her eyelashes playfully.
With her already alluring looks, that gesture made her seem almost flirtatious.
“Plans changed!” Ye Liang Chen said in a low voice. “Everything is the same as before, but after you get Dragon Brother drunk and snap some photos, you won’t need to worry about anything else. Just let us handle it…”
The original plan was to get Dragon Brother drunk and take pictures. But now, to make it more convincing, they’d leave Shen Meng Jie behind to act shocked when Dragon Brother regained consciousness, all while saying that classic line, “No girl would joke about her purity.” Dragon Brother wouldn’t be able to deny it.
But now they had changed plans. They just needed Shen Meng Jie to snap a picture for backup, while they would take the lead themselves to turn Dragon Brother into a wreck and capture that moment of glory!
