### Chapter 37: Offending the Unoffendable
Night Star couldn’t resist Loti Shana’s temptation and ended up groping her all over.
Of course, it was limited to touching and stuff like bean curd making is definitely not for those who aren’t mentally prepared.
But stroking her stomach, little steamed buns, and other flirtier areas were fair game.
This finally taught Night Star that besides spit, Loti Shana’s other fluids vanish once she’s taken off the premises.
Curiosity satisfied to the max!
Of course, Night Star would only do this to someone as special as a loli like Loti Shana.
Others just can’t be trusted with such tasks.
“I’m fulfilled.”
“Huh? That’s it?”
Loti Shana was very confused, seemingly puzzled by Night Star’s ease at becoming satisfied.
After all, in the past, things were much worse.
Night Star stared at her blankly.
“What? Aren’t you fulfilled? If you admit it, I can continue fulfilling you.”
“No… No more! We’re very satisfied! Wait, d*mn Night Star, we won’t forget this humiliation!”
Night Star smiled and held Loti Shana tighter, rubbing his face against her smooth skin with a relaxed expression.
Loti Shana quickly softened under the display of affection.
“Humph! Be grateful, this is the great king showing mercy.”
Night Star murmured.
“Still so stubborn, I really want to kiss you and see if you’re soft.”
“Hmph… Whatever!”
“Hehe! No way, this is my first kiss!”
She wasn’t wrong about that either.
Since Night Starlan turned into a loli, it had only been attempted once with another version of herself.
Being a single soul divided between two bodies sure has its perks.
No need to go into more detail.
“First kiss?”
The look on Loti Shana’s face grew awkward, as if she was wondering, “Wait, you even have a first kiss?”
That awkwardness quickly ticked Night Star off.
“The future me affecting the present me? Why wouldn’t it! Petty Loti Shana, it’s too early for you to mock me!”
Night Star started roughing up Loti Shana’s hair, turning silky tresses into a tangled mess.
“Gngh! Over the top!”
“You’re a star eclipse, not human.”
Loti Shana vented silently while Night Star calmed down and began untangling her hair.
Loti Shana sat still, not resisting.
Night Star started chatting again.
“I’ve started looking for the Origin of the White; many humans are helping me, so with the traits of a star holder, I might find it.”
Loti Shana narrowed her eyes.
“Humans could never find Master White, we, the first generation star eclipses, searched for years and years without success, humans stand no chance.”
“Sure, the Origin of the White is supposed to attract star holders, but since you’re the first generation star eclipses, finding you should be harder right?”
“Humph! Don’t draw parallels between us first generation star eclipses and commoners—the attraction doesn’t affect us. The ties between us and the origin are far stronger than you think.”
Loti Shana seemed angry Night Star compared her to a regular night watcher.
How could the first generation star eclipse be compared to ordinary star holders?
Even if the Origin of the White draws star holders, the first generation eclipses are far superior.
If they couldn’t find it, humans definitely couldn’t.
Loti Shana absolutely didn’t believe humans could find the Origin of the White.
Maybe if it was Night Starlan personally it’d be different.
“I see… seems like I only have a chance when I’m back to full strength.”
Despite Night Star’s immense trust in the theater group and night watchers, in the light of the facts, it’s tough.
The first generation eclipses might have searched centuries ago—it’s way more extreme than Night Star’s approach, which relies on numbers.
“Could the Origin of the White be hiding from you on purpose?”
Night Star thought.
Loti Shana seemed downcast.
“Might be, who knows why?”
Giving a first generation eclipse the “find the origin” obsession—if the origin has self-awareness and is hiding from them out of spite, that’s harsh.
Like punishment.
Seeing this, Night Star decided to change the subject.
“By the way, Loti Shana, why is the true name of the Origin of the White so strange? If one side, Kurol, represents Star Eclipse, then the other should be Hijiro, and if Hijiro represents Star, then Kurol should be Black. That’s how it should work, right?”
Loti Shana pondered.
“Since you ask, I know you must be curious where Hijiro fits in?”
Hijiro is the name of Kurol’s manifestation—a first generation star eclipse.
Night Star even deprived him of part of his power.
“Yeah, I’m curious.”
“Fine, I’ll satiate your curiosity. Hijiro got his name by trading with the Origin of the White. Hijiro was originally the true name of the Origin of the White, until some j*rk traded names, and Hijiro’s the name he went with.”
“So names can be traded?”
Night Star was surprised.
That makes perfect sense for Hijiro.
To actually trade with the Origin of the White—that crafty merchant even went for the namesake.
And surprisingly enough, he succeeded!
Quite the bold move.
“Is Hijiro really that powerful?”
“Nope, it’s an agreement made valid by the origin’s consent. In return, Hijiro had to trace the loyalty of the origin, which is how they trade.”
“Ah.”
Night Star was unaware of this story between Hijiro and the Origin of the White.
Exchanging loyalty for a name, Hijiro must be quite the mad bargainer.
In a way, isn’t that a bit one-sided?
Names can just be gotten, even ones you make up.
“You’re puzzled by why Hijiro made such a bad deal?”
“Yes.”
“Because Hijiro didn’t even have a name, and found Origin’s White fitting. So he made this exchange. No need to doubt—he’s a crazy merchant, anything can happen.”
Looks like Loti Shana knows Hijiro well enough.
After all, they spent some time together in their human days, naturally knowing each other’s stories.
At the same moment, Night Star suddenly thought—
What if all the first generation eclipses offended the Origin of the White in some way in the past?
So the Origin is intentionally hiding from them as revenge.
Like how Hijiro took away the Origin’s true name.
That’s very strange.
Night Star felt this farfetched possibility existed.
So here’s the question—
How exactly did Loti Shana offend the Origin of the White?
