Chapter 390: Are You Happy?
“Qing Xue, you were amazing! That slap just now was so cool!” Lin Wan Ning exclaimed excitedly.
Hu Yu Ying giggled, covering her mouth, then gently took Qing Xue’s hand and wiped her palm with a wet tissue. “Consider that revenge for when Ye Liang Chen made you cry last time.”
Qing Xue had only acted on impulse, but now, receiving compliments from her two older sisters, she couldn’t help but feel smug.
She proudly raised her little nose, “Of course! If they want to mess with Dragon Brother, they have to check with us first!”
“I seriously didn’t expect them to come over…” Dragon Brother sighed lightly. “It’s like they’re living in their own little world. People like that are inherently a bit paranoid; they never think they could be wrong.”
“You can’t reason with these kinds of people.”
“Let’s not let their nonsense ruin our mood.”
Hearing this, Lin Wan Ning leaned closer to Li Qing Xue, all smiles, and said, “You won’t believe it, but our house renovations are done! We can move in tonight!”
“Really?” Once she finished speaking, Li Qing Xue realized she might have overreacted.
So, she immediately lowered her voice and asked softly, “Really?”
Seeing her excitement, Lin Wan Ning playful poked her forehead, “If you don’t believe me, ask your sister! We even took a peek when we left.”
Li Qing Xue looked at Hu Yu Ying, who replied with an amused nod, “Quick, say something nice to me. I’m in charge of the household here!”
Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning exchanged glances, then stretched out their “claws” toward Hu Yu Ying.
“Nope! I’m your sister!” Hu Yu Ying said seriously, looking at them. “You both better listen to what I say!”
“I can sing and give sister massages!” Lin Wan Ning pleaded adorably.
As soon as Li Qing Xue heard that, she immediately brainstormed what she could do.
“I can help sister deal with disobedient Dragon Brother!”
Hu Yu Ying and Lin Wan Ning couldn’t help but chuckle at Li Qing Xue’s response.
The joyful moments shared among the three little ones always managed to chase away any negative vibes.
The little drama brought by Ye Liang Chen was nothing more than a minor distraction they could easily forget.
Dragon Brother had transformed into a pack mule, trailing behind the three little ones with bags in tow.
They ordered a big bed and four-piece bedding set, already brainstorming how to decorate the room.
Dragon Brother was also feeling happy about all this.
He gently held Hu Yu Ying’s little hand.
Hu Yu Ying turned and pointed a finger lightly at Dragon Brother’s forehead, “Even though I agreed to let Qing Xue and Wan Ning stay at home, you can’t do whatever you want without my permission.”
“Is that what you think of me?”
“You big bad wolf who loves to eat nearby grass!” Hu Yu Ying replied bluntly. “We’re all in your grasp, completely at your mercy.”
“For Wan Ning, I’ll say you were just a victim. But what about Qing Xue?”
“You claim you walked into the wrong room—then why didn’t you stop once you realized it was Qing Xue?”
Dragon Brother suddenly found himself at a loss for words.
Seeing his helpless expression, Hu Yu Ying chuckled, “Seriously, did you have plans for all three of us from the start?”
“Why do you treat us so well, making us all want to stick to you like glue…”
“Are you happy now?”
“Don’t lie to me! Tell me the truth!”
Dragon Brother chuckled and scratched his head, becoming more sincere in front of Hu Yu Ying. “Just a tiny bit.”
“Just a little bit?”
“Happy!”
“Hmph!” Hu Yu Ying crossed her arms and turned her back to Dragon Brother. “Then you better treat me well. Otherwise, huh, happiness doesn’t count!”
“I’ll work hard on that.” Watching Hu Yu Ying’s cute little self, Dragon Brother whispered in her ear, “I promise to pamper little girl very well.”
Hu Yu Ying’s face turned red, and she spat lightly at him, “You’re so shameless! Don’t even think about touching me tonight!”
“I’m going to sleep with Qing Xue and Wan Ning!”
“That’s a no-go!” Dragon Brother could agree to anything else with little girl, but not this.
“Why not?” Hu Yu Ying feigned innocence, wanting to hear his answer.
“Because your place in my heart is something even I envy.”
“Not serious.” Although satisfied with his answer, she could never admit it out loud.
“Ah Ying, do you think this one looks good?” Li Qing Xue held up three small toys of different colors for Hu Yu Ying to see.
“Not telling you! You two behave at home from now on.” After saying that, she left Dragon Brother’s side and joined Qing Xue and Wan Ning to pick out toys.
“What were you and brother talking about? He was smiling like an idiot!” Lin Wan Ning asked softly, while Li Qing Xue’s ears perked up, eager to know.
“You want to know?” Hu Yu Ying teased them.
“Yup, want to know!”
“Then I won’t tell you!”
“Just tell us; we’ll give you a massage tonight!”
Li Qing Xue nodded eagerly, “Yeah, we’ll both give you a massage!”
Seeing their attempts to sweet talk her, Hu Yu Ying pretended to think for a moment before finally saying, “Fine then.”
“I’ll ask Dragon Brother if he’s happy about you two moving in.”
Thinking back to Dragon Brother’s smile, Li Qing Xue and Lin Wan Ning couldn’t help but laugh inwardly at how unrefined he was.
Watching the expressions on their faces change, Hu Yu Ying continued, “But I just told Dragon Brother that even if you both move in, he can’t go wild.”
“Looks like Dragon Brother is now completely tamed by you.” Li Qing Xue remarked as she glanced at Dragon Brother. “The roles of your little follower and big brother have swapped…”
After wandering around for a while, they received a call from the home delivery personnel. Dragon Brother loaded all the items they bought into the car and headed back first.
The three little ones still wanted to browse and buy more things.
Returning to the courtyard, Dragon Brother worked with the staff to set up the big bed and nightstand in the room not long after.
The three little ones returned with some more small items.
Walking into the room and seeing the big bed, they excitedly started arranging the space.
“I’m going out to buy groceries,” Dragon Brother said as he watched the three busy little ones, ready to get some groceries.
“Don’t go! You don’t know what to buy, let’s go together later.”
“Then what will I do?”
Hu Yu Ying, not even looking up, said, “If you’re really bored, go wash the pots.”
“Fine, I’ll go wash the pots.”
Watching the three little ones busy at work, Dragon Brother suddenly found washing pots much more enjoyable…
