Standing outside the classroom as punishment, Zhao Mingyue whispered to Bai Yu.
“Of course not. His black shadow and he share a symbiotic relationship; since the shadow died, Li Nan can’t survive either. Even if he did, he wouldn’t have consciousness anymore.”
“Who killed his shadow…?”
Just as Zhao Mingyue finished asking, a stunning figure appeared in the hallway. She walked with an unsteady grace that didn’t come off as careless; rather, each step she took held an indescribable charm.
The girl wore a black school uniform, with two buns on either side of her head, her delicate features set off by long, icy eyes, her face lacking any expression.
In her hands, she carried a medical book and a black crystal cup, striding into the classroom opposite Zhao Mingyue, handing her items over to the young teacher with long, curled hair, who was casually lounging with her legs crossed.
As the girl stepped out and shut the door, Zhao Mingyue suddenly noticed that the young teacher was staring at her, a smile creeping across her face.
‘What a beautiful teacher! But is it really okay to dress like that at school?’
After closing the classroom door, the bun-haired girl shot Zhao Mingyue a deep look, snorted, and walked away, leaving Zhao Mingyue baffled and confused.
“What was that look for? Why the huff? Do I know her?”
“You probably don’t, but Lu Liangting does.”
