Chapter 4: Curiosity
“Mo Rabbit, do you have any important news left?”
Night Star Lan continued to inquire.
Mo Rabbit gently nodded.
“I used the River Chart and Book of Luo to divine who solved the source of this world’s disasters, but the results were seriously obstructed. It indicates that the other party’s specifications can at least be calculated as extraordinary, possibly of the same caliber as the Origin of the Stars.”
Since this world’s power system had absolutely nothing to do with the Origin of the Stars, Mo Rabbit didn’t suffer severe backlash when divining with the Stars; she just couldn’t peek into the other party’s destiny.
Hearing this, Night Star Lan couldn’t help but gasp dramatically.
“Seriously?! Is there really a big shot of that caliber in this world? I thought I could swagger around here like a boss…”
Quickly, Night Star Lan resigned to the situation.
With B-rank spiritual power, the Wish Princess had many limitations and couldn’t achieve true omnipotence; she could only squash some minor characters.
But if the other party was a big shot at the origin level, that could become a real mess.
Once spotted, Night Star Lan had no idea how to communicate with them.
Being ignored was fine, but if she was misunderstood? Well, that wouldn’t be easily brushed off with a few words.
It was said that the people of this world had once fought against alien invaders and suffered greatly.
So, in a way, Night Star Lan and her crew were kind of alien themselves.
After all, they were from different timelines!
But that wouldn’t stop Night Star Lan from retrieving the Group Leader’s will.
No matter if she could swagger around this world or not, solving the Group Leader’s issues was top priority.
If someone dared to stand in her way, they could taste the wrath of the rampaging Wish Princess!
It seemed unlikely anyone would shoulder the pressure of annihilation just to stop her.
Night Star Lan wasn’t some über villain after all.
Just mind your business, and everything will be fine.
“Anyway, starting tomorrow, let’s properly search for the Group Leader! First, we need to confirm his condition and see if he’s being controlled by Kuro’s consciousness. We absolutely can’t argue with the locals!”
Night Star Lan issue her simple directive.
The members of the theater group nodded in acceptance.
Regardless of whether the Group Leader was present or not, the audience performer’s orders were extremely important and had the highest priority.
Not to mention, the Group Leader was currently missing.
During this period, the audience performer would take full command of the Rising Sun Theater Group!
The next day.
The theater members set out once more on the road to find the Group Leader.
To be honest, this process might be a bit arduous.
The Group Leader, possessing time-space abilities, could appear anywhere at any time, potentially unrestricted due to Kuro’s enhancement.
The Group Leader’s presence could be lurking in any corner of the Earth and finding him was going to be a real headache.
No one knew the Group Leader’s current attitude.
Night Star Lan didn’t dare wish herself next to him.
After all, the Group Leader could be considered Kuro at this moment.
If she made a wish concerning the origin, her spiritual power would definitely be drained dry, leaving her in a position ripe for slaughter.
For the unknown Group Leader, it was basically like a lamb being led to slaughter.
Night Star Lan wasn’t bold enough to risk it.
As for whether she would venture out to look for him…
She thought it best to familiarize herself with the environment first.
Mo Rabbit was further verifying the divination information.
She didn’t fully trust the messages brought by divination and would only return to inform Night Star Lan after confirming them personally—a very responsible approach indeed.
In this area, Mo Rabbit was quite skilled, better than other theater members.
Night Star Lan just needed to pay attention to what she should and shouldn’t do.
For now, she might as well hang out in a deserted spot and surf the web.
You know, the good old “surfing the net.”
In a stranger place, one must be cautious. She wouldn’t easily wander around!
The next period involved waiting for good news from Mo Rabbit and the others.
When the time came, she would make her move.
No need to waste extra energy.
Night Star Lan muttered softly to herself.
Both Night Star and Night Lan had a phone in hand, doubling their online surfing efficiency and quadrupling their information acquisition speed.
She needed to keep up with real-time information.
Historical data could always be caught up later.
If she didn’t know what was currently trending, she might as well be living under a rock.
If she inevitably ran into locals, at least she could strike up some conversation.
Way better than mumbling nonsense with a blank mind!
Suddenly, Night Star Lan found an interesting thread on the forum about something called the “Loli Control Master.”
Her interest was immediately piqued.
“Loli Control Master? What’s that? Is it some kind of arrogant self-proclamation from within the community? Hmm…”
Though she didn’t know who it was, Night Star Lan was starting to feel a twinge of curiosity.
After all, she was a loyal loli fan. If someone stood up representing all loli fans and said something outrageous, she’d be incredibly annoyed.
Just like a self-important clown trying to draw attention.
She clicked into the thread to pass the time and see what fun was happening.
In the thread, people were discussing something that seemed to be an event from a few years back. From the comments, it was obvious the speakers were very fond of this so-called Loli Control Master—clearly fans and such.
Night Star Lan noticed keywords like “Loli Sky” and “Sky Master,” and couldn’t help but get lost in thought.
“Is this a streamer or something?”
As everyone knows, many internet personalities would bestow themselves with all sorts of quirky titles to grab attention, attempting to craft unique internet personas for profit.
Night Star Lan instinctively assumed the people discussing this were doing just that and quickly lost interest.
However, due to her sensitivity to the term “loli control,” she couldn’t help but continue to read on.
“Shocking! That Sky Master is actually a cute loli? Just how cute could she be? Could she just be an old lady who doesn’t show her face but only speaks in loli voice?”
But as Night Star Lan delved deeper, she found that Sky Master didn’t appear to be a public figure online at all.
She didn’t run an account, nor did she stream, and the known account rarely posted anything.
The only thing that could be called “classic” was just a video uploaded online.
Now, Night Star Lan was curious.
Soon, she found the “Loli Sky” fan group, bursting at the seams with members, and after a bit of searching, she finally squeezed into one.
Upon entering the group, the other members warmly welcomed her.
The place seemed very lively.
Goo Goo, the plucky newcomer: “Welcome to the group! Did you join because of the Sky Master too? By the way, how long have you been a devoted fan of the Sky Master?”
“Hmm~”
Night Star Lan changed her group nickname to “Wish Princess” and pondered for a moment.
Wish Princess: “Just joined the group, not too familiar with the master. Is there a quick way to learn more?”
Quickly, other members started replying.
A flurry of responses directed her to the group files.
Apparently, there was a segment the Sky Master personally “composed” that would absolutely instill feelings of “admiration” and “awe” if watched.
Night Star Lan eagerly clicked into the group files.
She was eager to find out what it was all about.
