Chapter 85: Daily Life
Time flies quickly.
Since that day when I was carried back to the bakery by Tan Han in a princess carry, I was almost laughed to death by Senior Ying Shiqian, after all, she knew I used to be a boy. I feel like this is going to become part of my black history.
What’s even more embarrassing is that I learned from Senior Ying Shiqian that Senior Tang Yihan seemed to have figured out that I was originally a boy as well; only Shali, the store manager who seems to have her head in the clouds all the time, hasn’t noticed.
I also asked Tan Han why she carried me back that way; wouldn’t it be better to just wake me up?
She said I was sleeping very soundly and didn’t wake up despite her calling me several times, so she just went ahead and picked me up. Since I still didn’t wake up in that position, she brought me back like that, and she said if I didn’t accept it, I could try being carried over the shoulder next time.
In short, I didn’t gain anything from Tan Han, just the ten thousand yuan I originally had to pay. I almost forgot about it; otherwise, I would have missed out on that money. Since the money is in, I naturally won’t delve into it deeply; after all… this is a privilege exclusive to rich girls.
After Tan Han successfully completed her meditation, my store manager invited us out to have a good meal again. Although it was just a symbolic gathering for a few of us from the bakery, it was still much better than eating bread at the bakery.
I originally thought there was so much bread in the store that I could never get tired of it in a few days, but now I realize it really can get monotonous, or rather, I can’t get used to it.
Later on, Tan Han also came to the flying practice club I was in, but she wasn’t brought by Senior Tu Qingxue; she was with another senior. However, that didn’t stop her from coming over to chat with me when she had time.
It seems Tan Han’s name is quite well-known; even Senior Tu Qingxue would occasionally come over to ask about her, after all, she is the top student of this year, and naturally attracts those who are struggling academically.
And Tan Han doesn’t let her title go to waste; despite joining the club later than me, she passed the theoretical assessment in just a few days and qualified to officially obtain her license.
Meanwhile, I was still using my spare time to go through a question bank that seemed almost endless.
Today, I finally passed the theoretical assessment.
During this time, I still had to pay for a make-up exam myself, but fortunately, the fee for the theoretical assessment wasn’t high, just a double-digit sum, so failing once was acceptable.
Now there’s quite a gap between me and Tan Han, but I don’t mind because I can face the distance between me and a top student. After all, without comparison, there’s no harm.
Passing the theory means I can officially start focusing on the practical assessment for my license now. I may not excel in theory, but I am very skilled in practice!
Usually, Senior Tu Qingxue praises my balance, reaction ability, and control.
You should know that in my past life, I failed the theoretical tests for subjects one and four, but I passed both subjects two and three with full marks on the first try.
Even though I didn’t end up having my own car, it doesn’t stop me from having a license!
Today, because I was preparing for the theoretical assessment in the afternoon, after passing this assessment, Senior Tu Qingxue let me leave early as a form of relaxation after our stage of practice.
So, I returned to the villa early.
As usual, I looked forward to having a new roommate arrive at the villa. As the first new student to arrive, I would enthusiastically help her adapt to life here, but so far, I haven’t had that opportunity.
Moreover, I sometimes keep the villa clean myself to avoid having a messy scene when the new roommate arrives.
As for why I have to do it myself, I should mention the energy consumption of Little Cattle Horse, the intelligent butler.
It consumes a lot of magic power; the magic power in the villa always shows a declining trend every day. I’ve tried supplying it, but all my Magic Sources combined only equal one unit, meaning the number on it represents the total magic power of one Magic Source.
It takes an entire day for a Magic Source to fully recover; I specifically tested this. Though not entirely accurate, I asked Senior Ying Shiqian, who gave me a very accurate answer. My guess wasn’t wrong.
So this little bit of magic power really isn’t enough for what I consume. My phone consumes magic power too!
After finding various uses for my phone, I discovered it also consumes a decent amount of power, but not as absurd as Little Cattle Horse.
Returning to the villa, it was still as quiet as before, meaning no one had come during this time.
I checked the time; although I came back early, including the time it took to return, afternoon was almost over.
Originally, the past few days had been relatively regular. The flying practice club provided meals, so I had something to eat in the evenings, although it wasn’t free for me, but it was free for the seniors in the club.
From this, the differences between clubs can be seen. Some clubs even have a cafeteria, while others are still struggling with land issues, maintaining a bakery that has been running at a loss.
I won’t say which club it is; after all, reputation is still important.
However, I didn’t have any ill feelings towards the bakery. I was doing quite well there and even learned a bit of baking skills.
So I still have a good impression of the bakery, after all, it’s hard to beat getting paid while slacking off.
Although my skills aren’t particularly amazing right now, at critical moments, I still have a knack for stopping Senior Tang Yihan from making dark cuisine. If I really can’t stop her, I can always inform Senior Ying Shiqian to run away in advance.
For this reason, I have built a strong strategic partnership friendship with Senior Ying Shiqian.
Now that I’ve come back early, how should I solve dinner?
Of course, there’s a cafeteria at the Witch Academy, but it’s not close to where I am. It would be better to grab a quick bite on the street.
In the end, I chose to order takeout!
The takeout within the Witch Academy isn’t cheap, and it doesn’t work with some outside delivery apps and couriers either. It’s even delivered by students organized by the clubs, making it suitable for some part-time students to make some money during their breaks.
Moreover, the app doesn’t even need to be downloaded; you just need to find the corresponding delivery club in the academy system to generate a takeout app directly on your phone.
So the “academy system” in the phone provided by the Witch Academy is quite powerful; basically, you can’t do without it.
So in my free time, I like to look for various interesting things in it and develop new uses for it, such as finding many game clubs internally and downloading quite a few interesting games through them.
Even the academy library has some interesting novels written by seniors, including serialized ones, and I even found some that are more colorful. I’ve collected quite a few, although several have been banned due to exceeding the limits, so I can only keep the source as proof that those books once existed.
