Chapter 881: Dream Life Experiment
“Sister, sister~ Is there any progress?”
The Fool Dream following me from behind, although they are not involved in the core steps of the purification experiment, they are not completely ignorant.
As Fool Dreams walking alongside me at the forefront of the life experiment, they know what I’m doing and what needs to be done, naturally understanding how crucial the purification of Dream State Soul Material is.
“Okay, come on~ Let’s go to the Constant Dream Laboratory.” I said.
In this vast laboratory, although the deep-level Primordial Dream is just that small core area, I haven’t wasted the other areas covered by dreams. Some parts are used for the constant cultivation of shallow dreams, for capturing and collecting Dream Creatures and Dream Demons.
Although the current Primordial Dream is referred to as “controllable,” it does not mean everything in the Original Dream itself is controllable. Therefore, to conduct stable experiments, a constant area of dreams is needed.
The reason I’m taking Fool Dreams to this place is not to collect experimental materials but to start the experiment directly.
There’s no need to mention theoretical collection and then simulated analysis; those are all abstract.
Hands-on experimentation yields much more valuable data.
Of course, I’m also thankful. Real-time data analysis allows firsthand information collected from the experiment to be directly used to quickly support the next step of the experiment.
Moreover, materials don’t cost money, and even if they did, one may not necessarily be able to buy them. After all, without the continuity of dream overlap, even if captured, they are difficult to transport and trade, so this can only be done by oneself.
After arriving at the Constant Dream Laboratory, my soul consciousness detached from my body since the upcoming experiment involves operations at the dream level.
However, after my soul consciousness separates, my physical body remains active. It can be said that at this moment, my physical body is a clone guided by a host, representing a two-way coordination between dream and reality, which greatly facilitates my experiments in the dream realm.
“Now, I have a purified Dream Demon here that theoretically could be Dream State Soul Material,” I said, holding this pure Dream Demon.
The reason I do not call it Dream State Soul Material is due to rigor.
After all, I have yet to verify the accuracy of Dream State Soul Material, and currently, within the experiment where Soul Material is consumed and transformed by Dream Creatures, there is no direct proof indicating that Dream Demons are the transformed Soul Material.
The current progress only proves that they are interrelated.
Even now, comparing regular Soul Material with this purified Dream Demon, obvious differences can still be discerned.
“According to the design of the Dream Life Experiment, this is the basic material for shaping your Dream State Souls, but the experiment is full of uncertainties. Are you willing to cooperate with my experiment?”
“Willing!” ×4
The four little Fool Dreams eagerly expressed their agreement, completely unaware of what risk means.
Their tones were filled with excitement and impatience.
“Hold on—You four discuss among yourselves first. I’ll take a sample of this mass to preserve, then make a specimen. After that, the remaining amount… won’t even be enough for one Fool Dream to conduct an experiment, so you all decide who will go first, no fighting, okay? If you can’t decide, we can draw lots.”
“Yeah! Yeah!”
Seeing their quick agreement, I felt relieved. I was a bit worried that they would all want to be the first Fool Dream to base themselves on Dream State Soul Material and elevate to life, leading to conflict. But now it seems… am I overthinking?
I systematically began storing samples, then created special pure specimens. If this item can advance the dream life experiment, then this sample will be the first Dream State Soul Material!
It holds significant value for collection and commemoration.
Although I claim it’s for rigor, since the experiment has already reached this point, I am actually already well aware.
What concerns me is just whether this Primordial Dream is going to play a trick on me.
While organizing this specimen, I had already started constructing the following experimental process.
Elevating Fool Dreams to Soul Essence requires an extensive process involving far more than simply overlaying Dream State Soul Material onto the actual Fool Dream’s Dream Consciousness and completing it through Soul Drawing.
It requires more elements, such as… the memories of the Fool Dreams.
I hadn’t forgotten that a crucial aspect of the Dream Life Experiment is the Wisdom Seed, which embodies skills unified by memory and consciousness, alongside Soul Drawing, integrating the Soul Material to elevate the soul, serving as the soil for the Wisdom Seed.
Moreover, there are important concepts such as “race concept” and “bloodline information,” which… will all need to be explored during the upcoming experiments.
After all, this is my first time doing such a thing; only constant experimentation can clarify how the knowledge I have understood, learned, and realized can be applied effectively.
Because this experiment involves not only Dream State Soul Material, but also the memories of Fool Dreams, it will actually take place within my Soul Dream.
I entered this Constant Dream Laboratory not only to avoid disturbances but also to ensure a more stable environment to prevent accidents.
“Have you all chosen?”
After I completed the sample of this “Dream State Soul Material” and placed it in a precious materials storage box in the Constant Dream Laboratory, I promptly approached the four of them.
“Yes! We chose Bad Luck~”
“Right, it’s her.”
A few Bad Dreams immediately spoke up upon seeing me approach.
“Is it Bad Luck?” I waved, and Bad Luck then sat on my arm in the dream.
“Yes~ It’s me! I won the lot~” Bad Luck excitedly replied.
“Really, it was a lottery?” I patted Bad Luck’s little head and said, “Let’s go back to Fool Village together.”
“Are we going too?” Bad Blue asked.
“Of course, since our experiment will be conducted there next, we are definitely all going together. Or is there something Bad Blue needs to do?”
“No, no, I want to go too!”
“Alright~ It’s just an experiment. Once the Purification Technique matures and the amount of Dream State Soul Material increases, the experiments will proceed together!”
I casually made a promise and then took them into my Soul Dream.
The Soul Dream is a blessing born after life embarks on the great topic of the soul. To call it a blessing is not entirely accurate; it should be seen as a foundational usage developed under contact with the soul’s great topic.
Most Extraordinary Witches regard this blessing as a personal consciousness space, which can unify mental and conscious cognition, such as my past Sea of Consciousness and Dream World.
I’ve heard that it can also connect with the witch race’s “Primordial Dream” project, generating a personal space within the Primordial Dream.
But at this moment, my Soul Dream has transformed into a paradise for Fool Dreams.
They continuously expand this originally vacant world, turning it into a dreamy fairy tale amusement park.
The Soul Dream theoretically has no boundaries, but in practice, there are boundaries when experienced.
For instance, what is within the reach of “sight” will have presence; the area recognized by consciousness constitutes its boundaries.
But now, this place has transformed into Fool Village’s paradise, passively expanding the borders of the Soul Dream that can be perceived.
Within the Soul Dream, there are two trees, one is the Great Knowledge Tree, and the other symbolizes the origin of Fool Thought—the Fool Dream Tree.
At this moment, the Great Knowledge Tree is continuously growing, sharing countless memories, knowledge, and information, all of which become its nourishment.
However, the current Great Knowledge Tree has reached its limits at this stage.
Though it continues to grow moment by moment, as addition progresses, the speeds diminish progressively.
In contrast, the Dream Tree is approaching it, hiding some trends.
This Dream Tree is nurtured based on dreams, originating from the “Dream World Scroll.”
It can be said that the birth of the Dream Tree is related to two aspects of “Extraordinary Knowledge.”
First, the sacred object of dreams has derived a Dream World Scroll similar to its source, which is the memory harvested from the Primordial Dream, the cornerstone of its own existence.
It’s essential to know that the Primordial Dream is very domineering; for Dream Creatures, even the “memories” shaped by experiences within dreams belong to the Primordial Dream itself.
Thus, the act of the Dream Tree borrowing the sacred object to acquire its own memories is a special proof of their identities.
Furthermore, the completed Dream World Scroll, through the special craftsmanship of the Great Knowledge Tree, has become the seed of dreams.
It can be said that the seed of dreams itself does not have the level of “Extraordinary Knowledge,” but it has the capital to grow alongside the Great Knowledge Tree, indicating its significant foundation.
Upon entering Fool Village, I was warmly welcomed by the Fool Dreams, but we quickly focused our energy on this experiment.
This experiment involves the most precious memories of Fool Dreams, and the Fool Dream Tree serves as the foundation for all Fool Dreams, just like the initial Dream World Scroll.
“Alright, let’s start the experiment.”
After explaining to the enthusiastic Fool Dreams my purpose in coming here, they quickly and willingly cleared a vast experimental space near the Fool Dream Tree for me.
They positioned themselves at the edges, attentively watching me, as they understood what I was doing.
Their Sage Sister is tirelessly working for the elevation of Fool Dreams into life!
I embraced Bad Luck and approached the roots of the Fool Dream Tree. As my hand gently caressed the sturdy outer surface of the Fool Dream Tree, fundamental memories burst forth like a flowing stream!
In an instant, countless memories scattered from the center of the Fool Dream Tree, eventually materializing into the shape of a scroll.
Such a monumental and magnificent scene could be seen from anywhere in Fool Village.
And I quickly found Bad Luck’s memories within it.
I must say, the Fool Dream Tree has inherited the characteristics of the Great Knowledge Tree fully, allowing the organization of Fool Memories to be clearer than the initial Dream World Scroll.
Sadly, Bad Luck’s memories are not plentiful; the initial batch of Fool Dreams lost many memories, and even during the time managed by Principal Mei, memories were lost since her methods are not as thorough as mine.
Thus, Bad Luck’s memories consist only of the period after I took over them.
Basically, they revolve around life in the academy.
Not only Bad Luck, but all Fool Dreams referred to as heroes are similarly limited.
However, no matter what, at least the situation hasn’t developed into the worst-case scenario.
But… even so, most of that memory originated from my Great Knowledge God.
And now… I am attempting to mold these memories and Bad Luck’s consciousness into a Wisdom Seed by bestowing intelligence upon them, then granting them souls through Soul Drawing, carrying the wisdom of Fool Dreams until it “buds.”
These methods, whether it’s bestowing wisdom or Soul Drawing, fundamentally stem from the derived skills of the “sacred object.”
While conducting the experiment on Fool Dreams, I can feel the connection between the sacred object and myself is deepening.
Once this is completed, Bad Luck’s form changed; surrounding memories, under the bestowed wisdom, intertwined with consciousness, merging together—this concept stands at the core of the wise bestowal technique, the shaping of wisdom.
It is the premise for birthing a Wisdom Seed.
At this moment, the scene transformed from Bad Luck is captivating; it is a procedure that should have been achievable long ago. However, after recognizing the uniqueness of “Dream Consciousness,” everything fell into place during that time in the Primordial Dream.
The Fool Dream’s manifestation as a Wisdom Seed would not lead to any unexpected outcome, and even if this experiment concludes unsuccessfully, Bad Luck can still return to her previous state.
The first three little Fool Dreams who followed me have their souls simply shaped using the “Mimetic Soul” technique.
With Mimetic Souls, they can easily possess and detach from the physical bodies of Fool Dreams.
After all, aside from being unable to become true life, the Mimetic Soul technique primarily shapes based on the characteristics of Soul Essence.
Therefore, Bad Luck can still return to her usual form in the form of a Mimetic Soul.
During the period of molding the Wisdom Seed, I simultaneously began to shape Bad Luck’s Dream State Soul structure using the Soul Drawing technique.
This process was remarkably smooth, almost effortless.
Until Bad Luck’s Wisdom Seed “took root” within the Soul Essence created by Soul Drawing… that soul-like Dream State Soul accepted Bad Luck!
Her consciousness blossomed for the first time in the soul, an unprecedented new era unfurling, constantly impacting Bad Luck’s understanding.
Rather than calling it an impact, I’d prefer to refer to it as… a baptism.
I observed the entire process keenly.
This experiment was also a trial.
It made me aware of many inadequacies and revealed some naive thoughts I had.
But one thing I did right was the decision to carry out this experiment!
With the first attempt behind me, I am no longer fearful of unknown situations during the trial process.
The smooth progress of the experiment also indicates that the framework of the experimental process is now roughly established, and the next steps will involve building upon this framework.
“How do you feel, Bad Luck?” I gently called out to her.
If any uncontrollable accidents occur, I will definitely dismantle the experiment as soon as possible, because compared to those precious experimental data, I value the existence of Fool Dreams more.
