Chapter 1009: Witch United Association
“Damn it! A mere Dayrock Academy is getting too arrogant, trying to overshadow our Witch Academy!”
Nicola took her seat as the president of the All-Purpose Workshop, but it wasn’t an easy position to hold. Ever since she took office, the internal situation of the association had become increasingly chaotic, with factions at odds.
Even resolving a small matter of collaboration had escalated to the point of almost igniting an academy war.
For someone with no experience in academy wars like her, this was completely foreign.
However, under the proposal of her advisory think tank, the All-Purpose Workshop quietly established a War Department within the Witch Academy during the holiday period.
This was based on the experiences of smaller extraordinary academies in academy wars, but the Witch Academy could not achieve a fully militarized state; not even a community could.
After all, the atmosphere and framework of the Witch Academy, combined with the macro environment, could not foster such a situation.
With the All-Purpose Workshop’s actions, other associations also followed suit. Regardless of whether this so-called academy war could escalate, having a specialized department responsible for this matter meant they wouldn’t be caught off guard.
Moreover, the difficulty of establishing a similar War Department was not great. There were always some combat pillar associations in the club, contending for names in the arena, with participant rankings reflecting to some extent the strength of the association’s combat power.
Furthermore, as an extraordinary academy, the Witch Academy was inherently connected to conflict. It was merely a matter of moving those students who sweat in the arena to the battlefield.
After numerous discussions, compromises, persuasion through force, and reasoning, all associations had reached a final agreement.
At the beginning of the new semester, they established the “Witch United Association” with the cooperation of the academy!
The concept of the Union Society was a product of discussions between association representatives and the academy.
This was a brand new independent association, led by multiple large associations and composed of a vast group of smaller associations with extraordinary combat capabilities.
Moreover, this was a dual-qualification association, meaning that, generally speaking, a person could only join one association and could not be affiliated with two different associations.
And this Witch United Association was the first formally recognized association within the Witch Academy to accept dual member status!
Additionally, the Union Society promised to, in principle, not interfere with the internal affairs of any association.
Everything was only to deal with the potential academy war.
The association is broadly divided into three parts.
The Main Combat Department.
This department is primarily responsible for business related to personnel, materials, and resource allocation during wartime, and is the main body of this association.
Extraordinary Academic Department.
After all, war isn’t merely a personnel exchange or mindless charge; special tactics or strategic weapons require professional expertise to implement.
For example, spell diagrams, gigantic magic formations, strategic disposable alchemical items, and even the development of new combat-adaptive weapons cannot be concocted by a single person’s idle pondering.
Of course, the main purpose is to provide a platform for academic exchange and to give reasons for academic associations without much fame in the Witch Academy, but who no one dares provoke, to come forward.
Lastly, there is the Logistics Department.
The Logistics Department, as the name suggests, is responsible for all logistics; wars are fought on logistics!
The Witch United Association is composed of a total of eight associations that jointly lead, referred to as the “Eight Major Core Guardian Associations,” while smaller associations are called Guardian Associations, informally known as “Protected Associations.”
Among these eight associations, seven hold significant status within the Witch Academy.
First, the most renowned is the All-Purpose Workshop.
Then comes the community associated with the Witch Secret Realm, known for maintaining and operating the source of extraordinary materials within the Witch Academy.
There is also a spell research association, which is so low-profile that it hardly gets mentioned, yet no one dares provoke it.
The wealthiest alchemy and potion-making association gathers the most alchemists and potion-makers in the Witch Academy and is a major producer of potions and alchemical items within the academy.
The Potion Craft Association is made up of no lower-class students, as potion-making skills require mental power to channel magic and utilize magic as a ritual medium for potion blending. This skill is also a unique art of the Witch race. It is rumored this association was founded by an instructor; if one does not graduate as an extraordinary witch, the memories related to potion-making would even be erased!
Next is an association that has long mingled in various competitive scenes of the Witch Academy, with each member basically being a battle-crazed lunatic, “Fighting? Awesome! Association,” and there is no misunderstanding; even the punctuation marks are part of the association’s name.
This association can be considered a pillar of combat strength within the Witch Academy.
The seventh and final association, which is often unnoticed in the Witch Academy, is called: Witch Academy Stunt Flying Training Association.
There are several flying training associations, but there are many stunt flying training associations, yet only one champion in “Stunt Flying.”
At first glance, it looks like a broomstick riding association. But regardless of your combat power, if your broomstick can’t fly faster than mine, you won’t be able to hit me.
Of course, this is how ordinary people joke about these associations. The true masters of flying stunts possess incredibly terrifying combat power. The advantages of flight and three-dimensional combat are extremely powerful; they can showcase their skills only in places like the arena. Otherwise, a few slaps from those with low rankings might keep them from chasing after them.
As for the eighth association…
It is the Baking House.
In the past, if someone had mentioned the Baking House, some might have no impression, but others might recall red velvet cake.
And now, mentioning the Baking House… everyone can think of that terrifying figure.
The teaching assistant who was personally awarded the honorary title of Little Witch by the Academy Head!
Crushing the many geniuses of the Witch Academy with sheer human strength, and even overpowering the top teaching assistants and students, adding up to nearly a hundred!
But achievements are just achievements; no one knows the limits of her combat power or hears any news about her, which is what makes them frown the most.
The scale of her power has garnered respect from many associations; after all, they cannot afford to not acknowledge it.
Even the non-competitive association, like the Spell Research Association, holds her in high regard.
They admire her.
They know a lot of things.
If they can attribute the Knowledge Seed to the Great Spellbook, then the numerous web trees, Power Network, root networks, and the astonishing self-generated magic power experimental topics… all make them feel enormous pressure.
And this is just what they can hear.
Their instructors occasionally bring up this Little Witch, suggesting there are many matters they are unqualified to know, buried beneath that figure.
One person supports the identity of one of the “Eight Major Core Guardian Associations.”
All seven associations recognize her.
Even if some do not acknowledge her, others would help support her recognition. Otherwise, one could try another route and be expelled from the Union Society.
Of course, the Eight Major Core Guardian Associations also have a ninth exterior body.
This means those who have graduated but remain at the academy, managing internal discipline, known as the “Wei Ji Team.”
The combat power of the Wei Ji Team is visible to all. Even a single graduating senior has immense combat strength, and the Wei Ji Team is the ninth external institution of the Eight Major Core Guardian Associations.
It is also considered an existence on par with the core guardian associations.
Under normal circumstances, they do not participate in the coordination of academy wars. Unless something unexpected happens, the Wei Ji Team will stay at the academy, guarding the boundary spaces of the Witch Academy and the Magic Capital.
As the saying goes, with a sharp weapon comes a murderous heart.
After the Witch Academy established the Union Society with the mindset of potentially initiating an academy war, countless justifications for launching a righteous war could follow.
Witch Academy time.
Nine a.m.
The official meeting of the Union Society begins.
After consultations with the eight associations, the Witch Secret Realm Association was elected as the representative to lead the meeting.
Originally, the All-Purpose Workshop was supposed to host, but since their president had just changed and the association faced consecutive turmoil, this president felt a deep internal struggle.
Due to the need for internal unity, the Witch Secret Realm Association ultimately presided over the normal proceedings of the meeting.
The president of the Witch Secret Realm Association, Olina, donned a sharp uniform without any sloppiness, and her movements as she walked from the audience to the stage were fluid, giving an impression of strong execution.
Compared to the current All-Purpose Workshop president, Nicola, Olina appeared somewhat more adept.
Olina stood on stage, glancing at the room. Even for a president experienced in tumultuous situations, this was a scene she had never witnessed in her life.
Throughout the history of the Witch Academy, they had never seen such a union within the academy.
Her gaze briefly passed over the representatives of the Core Guardian Associations, ultimately landing on a particularly notable position.
It was a young girl with long silver hair, leisurely seated at the conference table.
Next to her was the note reading “Baking House.”
Unlike other associations that brought one representative plus several secretaries, higher-ups, and elders, this association had only a few members present.
Finally, Olina took a deep breath.
“Hello, representatives of the associations. I am honored to host this meeting.”
“I won’t elaborate on why you are all sitting here; let’s get straight to the point.”
Olina’s voice was loud and clear, without excessive formalities. After a quick glance at the meeting agenda, her gaze remained focused ahead.
After succinctly summarizing the recent encounters of the Witch Academy and mentioning the family conflict, Olina then delved into the academy’s situation.
This wasn’t to say that everyone, including Olina, didn’t care about family conflicts, but this wasn’t the right time to address such matters. They were representatives of the associations, representing the interests of the associations and the academy, and could not start from a familial standpoint.
Family friction could at best be seen as an extension of the academy’s contradictions; Olina clearly understood the art of speaking.
As Olina spoke, a massive spell projection unfolded behind her.
These were actual images of recent frictions around the Witch Academy.
“Everyone can see that the Dayrock Elves have crossed into our territory as an extraordinary academy adjacent to our Witch Academy, long serving as the followers of Aphhemia Academy. Now they dare to openly provoke our Witch Academy, not just verbally but even daring to retaliate against our academy’s people!”
“This behavior is a serious provocation against the Witch Academy! We must make them pay a bloody price!”
“Yes! Kill! Let’s charge into their academy and block the gates!” The representative from the “Fighting? Awesome!” Association was the first to react.
With one hot-headed association leading the charge, others among the “Protected Associations” also voiced their agreement.
“Absolutely! This is simply seeking death!”
“Let’s block the gates during their return to school!”
“Let them know the consequences of provoking us witches!”
“Everyone!” Olina’s voice cut through the uproar of enthusiastic representatives.
“Now, we are an official Union Society, so please don’t act like netizens who only know how to shout online. This is not some village fight; it is not a Gogo-like group conflict, nor is it the previous academy exchanges!”
“In this world, other extraordinary academies hold highly divergent attitudes toward our Witch Academy. What we are facing now is a conflict between academies, and we cannot afford to let emotions drive our actions.”
“When we step into the world of the extraordinary, the powerful forces have already told us that true identity, status, and right to speak are defined by strength! It is a privilege that the Witch Academy provides us all with a comfortable and harmonious learning environment and atmosphere.”
“To be frank, our Witch Academy has no precedent for academy wars, but the countless rises and falls of small extraordinary academies in the corners of the world we have yet to understand demonstrate to us all that there has never been such a thing as true peace!”
As Olina spoke, additional footage of situations they had never witnessed before began playing behind her.
Those wearing tattered clothing, displaying obvious racial traits, in dirty environments and covered in dust — it was hard to imagine these were students from extraordinary academies.
Many recalled the warnings from their families.
Elders advised them that if they did poorly on exams, it would be better to be an ordinary person than to dive into those small extraordinary academies.
Perhaps this is the reason.
Those families pushed their children, blindly choosing extraordinary academies, hoping one might succeed, unaware that they were sending their children straight into the abyss of death.
While everyone was in shock and recalling such memories, Olina’s voice once again pulled them back.
“The reason I tell you all of this is not for anything else but because I feel that many of you present here do not understand what it means to be sitting here!”
“The Witch United Association is a collective of most of the combat power within the Witch Academy! Its purpose is to confront any imminent academy conflict! Without combat… then our union holds no meaning!”
