### Chapter 248: Misunderstood Relationships
With curiosity and high spirits, Xia Yu dashed up to the second floor first.
Sure enough, at that moment, Jiang Kekai was lounging on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, casually watching TV like she owned the place. It was as if she had always lived there.
Upon seeing Xia Yu, Jiang Kekai was also very delighted. She immediately stretched out her hands without shame and laughed, inviting, “Little Yu’s back? Hurry over and give your sister a hug!”

Jiang Hanhang, standing next to her, gave her sister a helpless eye roll. Her usually super cool big sis had completely disappeared after seeing Xia Yu. But she was kind of used to it by now.
Following behind Xia Yu was Xia Ling. Honestly, she was quite surprised to learn that both Jiang sisters were here. She hadn’t expected them to be that serious.
Ignoring Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai who were already hugging tightly, Xia Ling casually plopped herself down beside Jiang Hanhang and said, “Hey, why did you guys come here? Didn’t I tell you to stay put and guard the house?”
“Boredom is the devil’s playground,” Jiang Hanhang replied in a totally selfish way, leaning onto Xia Ling like a needy pet, “Without you and Xia Yu, my sister and I are practically strangers in a foreign land, plus there are lots of business rivals around; it’s dangerous.”
“So…”
“So, me and my sis came to play with you! Look how awesome my sis is, right? She even cleaned up the house and bought new furniture for you all. Isn’t that nice?” Jiang Hanhang’s smugness made Xia Ling feel a sudden unease, wondering why she sounded like she did all THAT.
Without hesitation, Xia Ling gave Jiang Hanhang a whack on the head, “Not YOUR doing, so why are YOU so happy?”
Jiang Hanhang rubbed her head, clearly upset, “What do YOU understand? My sis and I are the same, aren’t we?”
Saying this, Jiang Hanhang looked pitifully at her own sis, Jiang Kekai, asking, “Right, sis?”
But Jiang Kekai ignored her sister and this silly Xia Ling, smiling as she held Xia Yu’s hand and led her towards a room, “Xia Yu, I’ve had someone redecorate our room just for you. What do you think? It’s still light outside, so if you don’t like it, we can change it.”
Seeing how Jiang Kekai didn’t care about her, Jiang Hanhang couldn’t help but start roaring, “Sis, isn’t this too much? Aren’t I your little sis? Can’t you just help me here?”
To which Jiang Kekai responded with a mocking grin, “Didn’t you say you could handle Xia Ling? Give it a shot!”
With that, Jiang Kekai dragged Xia Yu into the room. The old saying goes, “Out of sight, out of mind.” Anyway, outside these two silly girls couldn’t do much, just bicker back and forth. Smack
Switching on the lights, the room instantly appeared before Xia Yu’s eyes.
Previously empty and somewhat shabby, the room was now fully packed, thanks to Jiang Kekai’s arrangements. Every nook and cranny was thoughtfully utilized to house the useful things.
Looking at the walls, skipping past the wallpaper, Xia Yu noticed a brand-new air conditioner installed by his Little Ning sis. How neat! Because this was something Xia Yu had wanted for ages.
Seeing Xia Yu’s reaction, Jiang Kekai, feeling proud, elbowed Xia Yu, “So, what do you think, Xia Yu? Do you like it?”
“I really do,” Xia Yu answered confidently.
For some reason, she used to not like those cute, cozy room settings. She wasn’t sure why, but now she found herself more open to it.
“Good to know Xia Yu likes it,” Jiang Kekai remarked, then mischievously hugged Xia Yu from behind, laughing, “So, how about rewarding your lovely sis? After all, it cost her a lot of money.”
“Huh? Then what does the nice sis want as a reward? I don’t have much cash though.”
“Clumsy thing, would I ever ask for money?”
Jiang Kekai nuzzled Xia Yu’s cheek playfully with her own, proposing an idea she had been wanting to share, “Ever since I got to know you, I’ve showered you with gifts. Now, all I want is a kiss. That’s not too much, right?”
“No, it’s not too much, but…”
Xia Yu’s face suddenly flushed, almost making Jiang Kekai want to take a bite. After some internal struggle, recalling every moment spent with this darling sis, Xia Yu felt her request was perfectly reasonable, albeit slightly embarrassing.
“Oh? Xia Yu doesn’t like Ning Sis much, huh? Ning Sis must be getting ahead of herself.”
Wistfully disappointed, Jiang Kekai slowly released Xia Yu from her embrace, truly letting go.

Silence. No words needed between them. Jiang Kekai continued, addressing the shy Xia Yu, “When will you propose to marry your sis? Sis can’t wait anymore, you know you like sis, right?”
The closer Jiang Kekai got, the more bashful Xia Yu became, making her less eager to leave.
Knowing she was only eleven, she couldn’t fathom how her ‘sister’ Jiang Ning could think such mature thoughts.
At that moment, Wang Wenjuan arrived at Xia Yu’s room, curious to peek in on the fun.
She didn’t say anything, but praised Jiang Kekai, saying, “Nice choice, Kekai. This setup ensures Xia Yu won’t have any psychological issues because of the environment.”
“Yes, last time, I had plans to revamp Xia Yu’s room but never got the chance. Today’s a good day for it.” “Alright, you all have fun. I’ll call you down once dinner’s ready.”
Jiang Kekai and Xia Yu were busy having fun together, so Wang Wenjuan left without intruding.
Moreover, she remembered to close their door as a thoughtful move, supporting Jiang Kekai’s efforts.
This joyed Jiang Kekai, reinforcing her confidence in her and Xia Yu’s future together.
With that, she forcefully pulled back the soft blankets, embracing the trembling Xia Yu, “Here comes the big boss!”
Meanwhile, downstairs, Xia Hong was explaining Jiang Kekai’s position to his parents: “So, the people upstairs were just her guards. Don’t worry, get used to it.”
“What… should we cook more food? Given the number of people, they might stay for dinner.”
