The seven-day holiday flew by in no time, and it was already the last day, with school starting tomorrow. Xia Yu glanced at her phone; it was only eight o’clock! Why was that late?
But since Wang Wenjuan had spoken, Xia Yu obeyed obediently, albeit a bit lazily. She got up from Xiao Ning’s embrace, put on her slippers, said goodbye to her parents, then headed to her room with Xiao Ning.

Jiang Kekai was upset, but if Xia Yu apologized, she felt better.
This time, Xia Yu stirred. She rose quickly and held Jiang Kekai’s hand, apologizing timidly, “I’m sorry, Xiao Ning… I mean, Xiao Ning, I was wrong…” “It’s okay,” Jiang Kekai said, patting Xia Yu’s head.

Xia Yu pulled the blanket higher over herself, trying to feel more secure. “Get up, you silly goose. Did you forget it’s the last day of break and you’re going back to school?”
With Xia Yu now awake, Jiang Kekai patted her through the blanket and got up to change clothes. “Up we go. No sleeping the day away or I’ll knock on your head!”
Finally, Xia Yu realized it was time for school again. Reluctantly, she followed Jiang Kekai’s instructions, changing into the school uniform and packing the homework, which Jiang Kekai had helped finish yesterday.
“You know, Xiao Ning, your bag isn’t quite right for you anymore, let’s get you a new one after school,” Jiang Kekai insisted despite Xia Yu’s objections.
“Okay, okay.”
On the way, Jiang Kekai asked Zhao Wei about nearby stationary shops. Upon arriving at a large stationery store, Xia Ling and others also noticed the poor condition of Xia Yu’s backpack and offered playful criticism.
Finally, Jiang Kekai found a cute pink bag that Xia Yu seemed to like. After confirming, she bought it and even added a mini plush dog toy, which she said Xia Yu could play with during class to pass the time.
Xia Yu just sighed.
