### Chapter 289: Family Time
Almost in the blink of an eye, the person leading the regulatory bureau’s phone rang. Everyone there glanced at Jiang Kekai, guessing that this must be her doing. And indeed, they were correct—this was Jiang Kekai’s doing. She smiled sweetly at the regulatory bureau personnel, “What are you still waiting for? Pick up the phone.”

The four girls continued their meal, after all, wasting food here would be disrespectful to Xia Yu’s vision for the restaurant. Today, Jiang Kekai has given Xia Yu, Xia Ling, and Jiang Hanhang a break. So after eating, they could continue playing outside until they were exhausted.

Back in the room during bath time, Jiang Kekai picked out clothes for Xia Yu, “Xia Yu, it’s getting colder, have you ever worn thick pantyhose?”
Seeing Jiang Kekai toss over a pair of sheer pantyhose, Xia Yu—who was usually calm—became bashful, “I… I have.”
Indeed, Xia Yu had worn similar pantyhose before, having already returned to normal life almost a year ago. She still remembered how Xia Ling made her wear black-and-white pantyhose for a New Year’s visit.
“Really? Fine, then get dressed once you’re done with your bath. That way you won’t feel cold.”
“Emmmm… Can I just wear thick pants instead?”
Xia Yu wasn’t quite comfortable with clingy clothing. Jiang Kekai refused, “Nope, it’s all set. Just follow what I say.”
Then Jiang Kekai stuffed more clothes into Xia Yu’s arms, which she considered very nice. After all, one of the joys of raising Little Cutie is to cuddle and dress her up. Why would she dress her up otherwise?
Xia Yu didn’t have many complaints but still pouted a bit while holding the clothes and heading to the bathroom. Of course, Jiang Kekai took every opportunity to get close, “Why rush? I’m not gonna eat you, are I?”

Jiang Bin intended to discuss some matters during dinner but stopped due to Xia Yu’s nervousness.
Watching Jiang Kekai feed Xia Yu, Jiang Hanhang found it amusing and mimicked her, placing a piece of meat in front of Xia Ling, “Little Ling, try some.”

When the meal neared an end, Jiang Bin turned to Xia Yu regarding the restaurant, “Xia Yu, what made you think of starting this kind of restaurant?”
Hearing this, Xia Yu’s relaxed mood instantly tensed. Jiang Bin surely knew how much she spent.
Xia Yu spoke openly, “I felt sorry for those people, so… I wanted to help them.”
Under Jiang Bin’s piercing gaze, Xia Yu couldn’t lie. She hoped Jiang Bin wouldn’t blame her.
Indeed, Jiang Bin knew about starting a major restaurant in Demon City and had even discussed it with Jiang Kekai. Seeing Xia Yu’s honesty mirrored Jiang Kekai’s words, Jiang Bin let out a sigh.
“It’s good that Xia Yu has kind friends. True, we may lose money, but if I can help, I will. After all, we’re family, right?”
Xia Yu prepared herself for a scolding but instead found relief and joy. Jiang Kekai intervened, hugging Xia Yu, “Xia Yu knows what she’s doing.”
